Chapter 3: Chapter 3, Making repairs
The next morning Gidget was the first one to awake, they got up and started making breakfast. Gidget wasn't like the others, they're a cyborg. They werent born that way though, they were born fully human but they dont talk about their past. All Gidget does is help, helping is all they ever want to do and this morning thats what their doing. Gidget made some plates and sat them on the table, they were now waiting for everyone to get up.
When Jack woke up she noticed Sky was still asleep, thankfully. She got up and ready, she quietly went up the stairs to see that Gidget made food. "How long have you been up for?" Gidget turned to Jack, "A couple of hours, I made food and finished cleaning the gutters from yesterdays mess." Jack nodded, she sat down and then Gidget gave her a cup of coffee. "I made your favorite, black coffee with a little shot of vodka to get a nice start to the morning." She sipped the coffee, "Mmm, thats good. Well done Gidget." They nodded and winced but quickly returned to their happy face. "I cleaned the gutters from yesterday." Jack placed the cup down and got up. "Gidget, you already said that once. Is everything alright?" Gidget nodded, "Everything is alright...well my arm has been acting up lately but nothing a little tightening of the screws cant do." Jackal put them on the back, "I can wake up Copper if you want me too." They shook their head. "Its fine, we'll wait for everyone to get up."
Copper was the third one to get up, he went to the kitchen to see Gidget and Jack. "Whats the time?" He asked while yawning. Gidget glanced at the clock, it was unfortunately broken. "I can fix it." Jack placed her hand on their shoulder, "Gidget your arm needs to be repaired first, Copper if your not fully awake you can have a sip of my coffee." Copper rubbed his eyes and sat down at the table. "Black coffee is disgusting, and I dont drink in the mornings like you. Let me see your arm Gidget." They stepped back, "If you would let me just fix the clock, then you can fix my arm." Copper sighed and got a chair out beside him. "Gidget, you can help all you want after I take a look." Gidget walked passed Jack towards the clock. "Well you can take a good look while I'm over here." He got up and lifted their arm, "Okay while your here I'll take a look." They frowned, "This isnt what I meant." Jack sipped her coffee more, watching. "We know but you should've been more specific."
Al woke up and walked in the kitchen, he walked passed everyone and went into the fridge to get some moon berry juice. "Good morning to you too then." Jack said patting him on the back. He moved her hand away, she then took the juice out of his hands. "Good morning Al." He looked at her up and down like he was critcizing her. Copper finished repairing Gidgets arm and got up. "Al, I beleive it would be a polite response to say good morning too." Al shrugged and rolled his eyes, "...tell me what an int is and maybe I will." Jack had a frustrating expression on her face, "Fine, you can go clean out the gutters." Gidget was working on the clock, "I already cleaned them as I stated earlier...sorry." Copper took the moon berry juice out of Jack's hands and sat down with it. "I wouldnt have an attitude with Jackal this morning, if you know whats good for you." Al tried to walk away but Copper grabbed his arm, "Nope, get back here you runt." Al tried to pull away, "If you would just stop treating me like a child then maybe I'd act nicer!" Jack slammed the fridge shut and picked up a chair. She then slammed it on the ground, "Fine! You want to be like bigger people? Sit!" Al shook his head, "Um-...nevermind." Jack pulled him over into the chair. "An int is a hunting mechanism used to torture the animals until they die, some people use it for disipline among their child. Those people wind up slaughtering them all! Blood covering their walls, but do the authorities do anything? No!" Al covered his mouth and ran to the sink, he then started getting sick.
30 minutes later, Sky wakes up and slowly walks up the stairs holding her stomach. She walked in on Gidget getting frustrated over the clock, Copper talking to Jack who was clearly angry aswell, and Al with tears in his eyes, pouting in the corner. "...Wow, and here I thought I was the one who caused most of the problems. What happened here?" Al looked up, he wiped his tears away. "So you didnt leave for good?" She stopped and pat him on the head. "I would never leave...I'm sorry but I also can't remember how I got back. All I remember is spitting on this rich geezers shoe and then running away." Al smiled, "Well at least your safe, oh and a welcome back gift." He quickly jabbed her in the stomach, Sky collapsed. "Thats for almost killing me!" "Ow-...I'm sorry for shoving dirt in your throat. Now what happened here?" She slowly got up and sat down in a chair. Al sighed, "So, they were planning to kill me with an int?" Sky snorted and Jack whipped around, "Thats not!-" Copper pat her on the shoulder. "If your going to have such a smart mouth you can go to the basement and stay for the rest of the day, you could also sweep the floors. We dont accept this attitude from you or Skyler! So get your act together and act big like you want to be." Al huffed and ran off, Sky tied her boots. "So? You lost your patience I see...all of you did. Except you Gidget, well you look to be almost fed up with the clock." Copper sighed, "Skyler why don't you and I go to get supplies from Idophos' market. Gidget can talk to Al and Jack can fix the clock, its fair-" Jack interrupted furious, "Are you kidding me?! Her going to the city is what started this crap and your just gonna let her go again?!" Copper pat Sky on the head, "I'll keep my eyes on her at all times, I think this is a great opportunity...even if she snuck off, she wouldn't get far anyway." Sky gulped, "I wont run off, I learned my lesson." She crossed her fingers behind her back, Jackal sighed. "Fine, you can take her. If I hear anything about her running off or getting into trouble thats the end." Sky nodded and Copper smiled. "Yes ma'am." Jack huffed, "Don't push it.."
