Chapter 2: CHAPTER ONE: Introduction
LUO YAN'S POV
I took my apron as I turned off the cooker, I'm not a good cook but who can't make scrambled eggs and bread?, " Lu Jing" I called out to my little brother who rushed down stairs with his school uniform neatly put on plus his school bag on his bag, " Good morning." I said as served him with scrambled eggs," This again?" he asked with disappointment all over his face," We have been having this the entire week." he whined as he pushed the plate away, " Stop being a nuisance Lu jing, it took me a whole hour preparing this and the last thing I want from you is whining so please don't." I said angrily it's not because what he said is wrong or any thing but it's the fact that I spent the whole nice trying to come up with one song that could help me make a come back but I failed as I have been doing for the past two years." Look you have two choices, you either have this or go to school hungry." I added as I poured him a glass of mango juice then left for my room, I turned around only to see him eating the eggs sadly.
Reaching my room, I received a call from Manager Liu, he used to be my manager back then when I was still a famous artist, (Why would he call me after two years?) I asked my self as I answered his call," Hallo" I said as I kept quiet to hear him respond, " Hey Lu yan good morning. " he said, " Good morning, may I know of which honour I'm I receiving this call?" I asked curiously the tone I wanted to give I'm was the kind you would give a person who ditched you when you needed him the most, I felt angry at the thought of talking ro him but I was also curious to know what he called me for, " Can we meet?" he asked as a bit of silence covered the room and he on the other side since he waited for me to answer," Meet for?" I asked, " I have something to tell you and I know I might be the last person you want to see but I have something that can help you, so 10am at the MH building, I will be waiting " he replied as he hang up not giving me a chance to say no," Seriously" I exclaimed as I throw my phone to my bed, the question that ran through my head was whether I should go or not.
SONG LUO'S POV
I was woken up by the horrible sound of my alarm clock, I still had a strong hang over from the party that Sis shi throw for me after I won (Gorgeous model of the Year) it was such an honour atleast I got to prove my worth to some people, I slipped my night gown on top of my laced dress and slipped down stairs, there I found Nana my assistant preparing break fast, I just loved how hard working she was since at the age of 18 she gets to work in not one but three part time jobs just so she can take care of her mother," Morning Song " she said as she set the table, all her dishes including the avocado toast had that delicious aroma," Morning " I answered as I pulled out a chair and sat down," I made this for your hang over." she said as she handed me a glass of honey water, " I took some at home and it worked for me." she added, I held the glass and took a sip," Thank you ." I replied as I took some more, it didn't seem to be working but I had faith in her and also since I had no choice," Come on sit, let's have break fast while you go through my schedule." I added as I poured my self a glass of juice," Its ok, mom prepared me breakfast before I came here." she replied shyly and I still don't get why she gets nervous around me get we have been together for a year now," Ok then you can just sit opposite me and tell me my schedule." I replied she sat across me, pulled out her apple I pad and started scrolling," Well Song today you have a photo shoot over at the MH building from 11am to 12 am then after ward you and Sis Shi are going to meet up with Mr fang." she said as she stared at me keenly to here my response," Well cancel the after 12 meeting I'm going to Hainan." I said as I took a bite on the toast," But Sis Shi..." she tried to explain but I cut her off," Call Mr fangs secretary and tell him that I have to be some where at that time, if he and I could reschedule then I will be more than thankful." I concluded as I took the last sip of the honey water and headed up to take a quick shower, I could here Nana resisting from the back but I had made up my mind.
LU YAN'S POV
I had finally made up my mind and I was heading to MH building on my black bike, I stared at my clock and it was 9:45 I didn't mind being late as I rode on my own pace, why would I be early, he called me first which clearly meant that he needed me more.
MH building is a tall sky scraper , it actually has over 20 floors, we were meeting on the 5th, I parked my bike, got in and took an elevator since the stairs were to be more than tiring for me, despite going to gym every three days a week, I still felt lazy.
I reached the fifth floor and entered a cafe called K&k because that was all that was on that floor, I looked around the place in search for Liu Chen and there he was sitted at the corner, with his black suit as he kept on adjusting his spectacles , staring at him I was drown back to that day when he told me he didn't want to see me again, the day he broke our contract and the same day my singing career went down the drain.
