Chapter 4: Chapter 4: A Battle
"Finally, I can stretch" the monsterous body says.
"No no no no" it crouches and starts repeating.
"Must consume!" the monster shouts.
"Shut it bastards, I have a world to conquer and you're all in the way" the monster stands proudly again and seems angry.
"No, we have a world to save" a more righteous sounding voice comes from the monster, also being angry.
"Give.. me.. my body.. BACK!" A struggling voice shouts.
During this struggle, the raiders approach and smile to one another at the sight of the creature, "looks like he returned after the fun ended" says a overly confident raider as she closes in on the creature.
I finally get some edge on the voices due to the help of the righteous voice, "don't.. approach" the loner voice tries to warn the people around us.
"What a joke" one snears at me and they continue coming close, as soon as one enters my attack range, the prideful voice immediately reacts and we slice the person into pieces, "no!" The righteous voice shouts, "yes!" The proud voice cries, "I tried to warn you" the sad, loner voice says.
"Damned monster!" One of the people shouts.
"DON'T CALL US A MONSTER!" We all shout back in unison, pouncing on the person, ripping them apart.
"Quickly kill him and be done with it" the leader says and they all charge at me. I try to bat one away, but he catches my arm, so I raise it and slam him into the ground, the sound of his bones shattering made me think he was dead so I move to the next, slashing my claws at their neck, it splits and they fall to the ground.
I lunge at the leader but he catches my arm and throws me, he then turns to the others and commands, "you guys leave, he's strong, but weaker than he should be, you guys need to report that!"
As soon as he stops talking I'm already pouncing at him again, the others clench their teath and start to back off, then all but one flee.
Having a hard time with the leader I swap to the indecisive one, "vice captain!" One of the fleeing raiders shout, he raises his arms to block, as my claws strick at him, he kneels due to the force, so I use my other claws and bat him away.
Right as I send him flying with a wide gash on his stomach, I am attacked from behind, blood starts to run down my back as the tough hide is cut, I turn and stare daggers at the leader, "who even are you fuckers!" I shout as I swig at her, her face reviled as she dodges, I continue to swing, "to do something so horrible as to slaughter the city, and for what!?" My claws start to graze her as the rage of all the voices and myself start to align, my attacks become more savage but concise as the fight continues, "from what I can see, you guys are more monstrous than me!" As I shout that, she explodes in rage as well, " shut up! You know nothing of the history!"
"Well maybe if my family was alive long enough to tell me, I would know! But all I could learn for the longest time was the human's perspective!"
As I madly swing at her, she always dodges a critical hit, so I give up on the vitals and aim for her leg, my suddenly swap of target takes her by surprise and I manage to cut a tendant, causing her to fall, I stand over her, panting, "if not for you lot, I'd be living peacefully! But you lot had to take her away from me!" I then stomp on her head repeatedly, crushing it to a paste, I look around, the others are gone and my hunger grows. I start to feed on the raider's corpses, some crunching later I start to make my way back to the house with Gram and Fenrir in it, as I get to the door, my body rapidly shrinks and all I feel is exhaustion, I can't even knock on the door, as I fall onto the door, my consciousness fades, I only seeing Alette enter through the window before passing out.

As I enter the house, I find Gram sat on a chair, facing the door, as if waiting.
When I enter he stands up and I hear Logan's body hit the door, he goes and opens it, catching Logan as he falls through the door, unconscious, and brings him to a bed.
I land next to Logan's head and place my hands on his head.
As I use my soul techniques and magic on him to confirm his condition, I discover that his mind is actively repairing itself, trying to regain his memories, but due to his body's lack of stamina, it's having problems, so I apologize in my heart and start to try and increase his stamina forcefully, speeding up his blood circulation as well as increasing the volume of his heart and lungs, when I stop and check his mind, I see it's now able to start repairing itself, so I sigh and update Gram before passing out from mana depletion.

Ace_Steel76 I plan to put the flashback in the next chapter so I don't have to rush it, however that means making this chapter a little shorter than I hoped since I didn't know how to describe the fight well and cut it short by having most of them run, sorry
