Chapter 3: How to be a criminal overlord.
(Pov, Sally)
After 'Junior' gave up the location of Torchwick, I made sure to not threaten him to make sure Torchwick knows I'm coming.
I took a little time enjoying the sights and scenes of Vale before heading to Torchwick's current establishment, a rather conspicuous warehouse.
As I approach the warehouse main door, I'm a little disappointed there isn't even a guard or two here to try and stop me from entering.
I decide to be semi discreet, in that I set up a dome of soundproofing around the whole warehouse before making the door implode.
"Oh Roman~" I say in a somewhat coy teasing tone.
"Come out to play~" I said in the same tone.
I walked with a relaxed stance towards the center of the warehouse.
I stop right in the middle of the warehouse, as a sheet of metal slides down from above where the door used to be, as well as over all the windows.
"That's not going to work~" I said not unlike how Hermione from the goblet of fire sounded telling the Weasley twins their trick wasn't going to work to get them into the Tri-wizard tournament.
I could sense dozens of sharp objects coming towards me at high speeds, I didn't move.
I raised my hand and caught the arm of one Neopolitan holding her parasol knife thing.
"As I said, didn't work~" I said and lifted Neo into the air, she tried to stab at me with her other arm by swapping her parasol to her other hand.
I responded by also grabbing her other arm.
"Ah, ah, ah, it's not nice to stab your guests~" I told the white-pink-brown girl in my hands.
"Well, perhaps it would be better for you to introduce yourself instead of coming in unannounced?" A voice said from behind me.
The barrel of Torchwicks cane gun pressed against the back of my head.
"Me? oh I'm Sally, and I'm here to take over all crime." I stated absolutely.
Torchwick laughs some, while Neo in my hands looks mildly amused.
"You? take control of all crime? you must be joking!" Torchwick says and goes to pull the trigger.
The flare bullet hits the back of my head and goes all the way through leaving a large hole in place of my forehead.
"Nope, I'm dead serious." I speak.
"You see Mr. Torchwick, I am a person of unbridled power, and unimaginable skills, but most importantly, I am a person..." I say and turn around with the now pale Neo in my hands.
"...Who cannot die." I tell both Neo and Torchwick as the hole in my head closes up.
Torchwick has dropped his cane on the ground and Neo looks particularly frightened.
"Now, shall I tell you of my business opportunity or shall I also blow a hole in both your heads?" I ask them both and have a small freak out in my head 'AH, FUCKSHIT THAT HURT! I WANTED TO TEST THAT SPELL BUT FUUUUUUUUUU-' my mental anguish was cut off by Torchwick.
"T-The first one please." Torchwick states, and Neo is rapidly shaking her head up and down.
"Good~" I say almost like Joker in Arkam knight in that one scene with Scarecrow. (If you don't know, don't blame me for some spoilers)
(Time skip and Pov change, Ozpin.)
"Qrow, there's something happening in Vale, and I need you to get back here as fast as you can." I say to the younger of the Branwen twins (*BY TWO SECONDS! *) via scroll.
"Oz, what could be so important you need me there the day after Rave was paralyzed in the middle of the road?" Qrow asks.
"I suspect that these events are linked, Raven's paralyzation, and what's happening here in Vale." I tell Qrow.
"Well, what is it? You still haven't told me what-" Qrow asks again, and I cut him off.
"There has been word of a new Criminal Overlord rising to power, here in Vale." I say.
That stops Qrow from drinking whatever it is he has in that flask.
"What do you mean?" Qrow asks seriously.
"Crime rates have gone down, but what 'is' being stolen are some of the most protected and hard to reach items here, and I've heard reports stating that Torchwick is no longer stealing large amounts of dust." I say with a calm voice.
"Does that make Torchwick this new 'Crime Overlord?'" Qrow asks.
"No, there's another figure, someone who has long blond hair, and possibly uses magic." I state with great concern.
"You think 'she' might be involved?" Qrow asks.
"Yes." I affirm my fears to Qrow.
"Alright, I'll be back in Vale in about two hours." Qrow says.
"Thank you Qrow, this is something we can't ignore." I say.
"What, like all those other times there was 'something we can't ignore'" Qrow sarcastically states before cutting the line.
"Yes, other times." I absentmindedly say while looking out of my window.
Then I receive a call from the counsel about how there was a massive explosion at the docks.
(Pov change, Ruby Rose.)
I wonder how it got to this.
everything sounds muffled, I look to the left and see Yang and my team running as fast as they could to me, oh, I'm lying on the ground.
I feel so, sleepy, I think I'll just, close my eyes for a little.
(Pov change, Yang xiao-long.)
"RUBY!" I scream out as I rush to my sister's side, I get on my knees and hold her in my arms.
"Ruby! please! stay awake!" I yell to Ruby.
She feels cold to the touch, no...
How could this happen, first Blake accidentally reveals herself as a Faunus, then Ruby befriends a strange but quirky girl, and now this.
"Do you want me to save her?" I hear.
"Wha-" I try asking the person standing above me.
"Do you want me to save her, or do you want to just clutch her dead body?" The one who asked me that is a woman with long blond hair almost as great as mine, and she has a dress that looks like it came from before the great war.
"Yes, please, I don't want to lose her." I say, in an almost dead tone.
"Then I'll need you to set her down then." The woman says.
I do as she tells me and back away, just hoping what she is going to do will save her.
(Pov change, Sally.) [a/n Boy there are a lot of pov changes lately huh?]
If I knew this would happen then I would have simply wiped out that faction rather than playing with it, oh well.
"Your time hasn't come yet little Rose." I say to the body of Ruby Rose, as well as her spirit.
I cast a resurrection spell, it only works on the recently dead and only for those who have died from anything other than time, disease, and soul related death.
Ruby slowly sits up and rubs her eyes, before she is almost instantly tackled to the ground by her team, even Weiss.
"RUBY!" they all cried out, even Weiss.
"W-what happened?" Ruby asks.
"What happened was you charged recklessly into a dangerous confrontation between my troops and a rival faction, and died, you are lucky that I knew magic." I say with a mild glare at the girl, who just died, and I brought back.
"I-I-I what!?" Ruby stutters and asks.
"Died, went stone cold, you soul was leaving your body, I could go on but yes, you died, and I brought you back." I list before ending on how I resurrected the girl.
"How?!" She shoutasked.
"That will be for another time, anyways I'll be on my way." I say and turn to leave, when I'm stopped by the girl's teammates.
"Wait! Thank you!" Yang says.
"No problem, but I do hope I don't see you girls again like this, I would much rather see you in a far better locale and with some snacks too." I say before teleporting away in a flash of light.
(Pov 3rd person)
After Sally teleported away several police cars showed up, as well as a sleek black car with a certain ginger haired synthetic girl in the backseat.
"Is everything ok Penny?" asked the other person sitting in the car.
"Yes, it's fine now, I'm just, really grateful of that person for saving that girl, sir." Penny says back and doesn't hiccup, so you know she is telling the truth.
with team RWBY, they are all in a big group hug, and even Weiss doesn't care about being seen in this big display of affection.
"Would you four like to explain yourselves for what you are doing at a crime scene?" asked Glynda Goodwitch.
"I think we can forgive them for whatever may have occurred, because from their looks, it seems someone would have died if not for someone intervening." Ozpin interjected.
"Yes headmaster, that's exactly what happened, I was badly hurt and felt like I was falling asleep, and then I woke up to this pretty lady standing beside me when my team tackled me!" Ruby excitedly told he headmaster all what she experienced.
This shocked not only Oz and Glynda, but also the police nearby.
(Pov change, Salem. And flashback [meaning this happened before the whole Sally went and took Torchwick and Neo.])
This is becoming infuriating, who is this person and how is it they are eluding me!
"Tyrion." I hologram call my most zealous underling.
"Yes, my queen?" He answers.
"Have you found the person emitting the magic yet?" I ask, a little seethingly.
"Unfortunately, no, not yet my queen, but I do have a lead on where they might have gone." Tyrion says.
"Oh? and where might they be?" I ask, with some interest.
"In Vale, my queen." Said Tyrion.
"Where Cinder is, this is good news." I say to myself rather than to Tyrion.
"Anything for my queen." Tyrion says before I cut the call.
I then open a call to Cinder and tell her of what is going on.
