Chapter 18: Ch 18 - Deceit
In the middle of the stage appeared a person with a very dangerous aura that makes the air dense with only their presence.
With flickering shadows as if it was flames that covered the person's whole body, with a cloak of shadows that blends with his shadowy figure into the ground.
"Kyahhh!!! The number one hero of South Korea, Shadow Monarch!" shouted by many throughout the auditorium, their voices full of shock and enthusiasm.
Then the lights focus on the person, making the person go in the spotlight.
Then a ringing voice resounded throughout the area indicating the activation of a mic. Then after that a booming voice appeared full of the energy of youth.
"Let us welcome, the number one hero of South Korea, Shadow Monarch!" shouted by the person on the mic as claps and cheers reverberated throughout the auditorium.
"Why is the Shadow Monarch currently here in Seoul High, well as you guys may have heard, yes, the rumors are true. The Shadow Monarch is going to be a teacher in our school, now let is get a resounding applause from our students" said by the person on the mic, emphasizing on the word 'The' before the Shadow Monarch.
After the confirmation of the announcer, the cheering became shouting in joy and excitement, making the moral of the students go into an all time high at the prospects of what the number one hero of South Korea may bring.
Then Jinho nudged Jinwoo on his shoulder and said.
"Jinwoo Jinwoo, you heard that, Shadow Monarch is becoming a teacher. Wow! What class do you think he will be homeroom teacher of, I bet the students of that class will be super happy" said by Jinho in excitement while wishing to be Shadow Monarch's student.
"Yawnnnnn, wow, that is sooooooo cooooool" said by Jinwoo while yawning, not at all in anticipation and joy unlike the majority of the students there.
"There you go again, why don't you be like us for once" said by Jinho in a 'there you go again' tone.
"Well I don't care, I'm only going here to have a higher chance to get a high paying job anyway, not like you would understand that young master" said by Jinwoo in a bored tone as he sunk deeper into the very comfy chair.
"Wait what!? You don't want to be a hero" said by Jinho in surprise and confusion.
"Dummy, I want to be a hero, that is the high paying job I am talking about" said by Jinwoo in a condescending tone at his friends ignorant world view in life.
But before Jinho could respond back, he was cut off as Shadow Monarch receive a mic.
Seeing that Shadow Monarch was about to speak, everyone in the auditorium quiet down and started to put their focus on Shadow Monarch.
"Tap tap" a resounding tapping sound occured as Shadow Monarch went to test out the mic, after finding that it was okay, Shadow Monarch went to put it where their presumed mouth is.
"Hello there students, as you may know, I indeed have decided to become a teacher of Seoul High, the most prestigious school of South Korea" said by Shadow Monarch.
After hearing his deep, soothing masculine voice, everyone went and erupted into a booming cheer but instantly went into silence as they saw that Shadow Monarch was about to start speaking once more.
"Now some of you may be thinking on why I want to be a teacher here, fret not for nothing dangerous is about to happen. As you may know, Japan's number one hero went and also became a teacher in Japan's number one high school UA. As you may know, our country and Japan has been allies for a while and I decided to also become a teacher here, the number one high school of South Korea, Seoul High! I wanted to do these to personally teach our new generation of heroes and help them become the better version of our past heroes, to create heroes that is far better than me! To make our country be better! To not be just satisfied by being good but instead be great! And now let us start with you, the new era of heroes!" said by Shadow Monarch that boiled the bloods of those who are inside the auditorium as cheers and shouts reverberated inside the auditorium.
"Yeah!!"
"Kyaahhh!!"
"Please marry me!!!"
And many more shouts was heard throughout the auditorium as all the students in the auditorium were riled up to be like Shadow Monarch.
"Wow, Jinwoo did you hear that! Shadow Monarch wants us to surpass him and will teach us personally!" said by Jinho in excitement.
"Nyeehhh, woookjeekehebhhh, that is sooooo cooooooollllll. I too will.... will..... woorkkrbn hard to surpass hiiiiimmm yawn" said by Jinwoo as his eyes started drooping as he felt like being suck into a blackhole as he went deeper and deeper into the seat.
Jinho was about to wake him up but then started to notice that everyone seems to be looking at him.... or should he say Jinwoo.
The spotlight then shined on Jinwoo's sleeping body that seems to be in wonderland as he bears a huge smile.
"Oho, it seems like we have a student who is unenthusiastic about school. Students, why don't I give you my first lesson in this school year. First lesson, don't sleep in an unknown area without protection!" said by Shadow Monarch as a shadow dagger appeared in Shadow Monarch's hand and reeled back his hand.
"Mr Shadow Monarch sir, are you sure about this" said by the person on the mic in worry on what Shadow Monarch was about to do.
"Don't worry, see, he didn't even wake up with your loud voice, I am just going to teach him a life lesson" said by Shadow Monarch easing tge person's worry as he threw the dagger at a very fast speed.
Then the dagger went and flew to Jinwoo's sleeping body as the camera went and recorded the scene.
"Don't worry guys, I am about to stop the dagg-" Shadow Monarch's voice was cut off as a sonic boom was heard and the clashing of metal was heard as the dagger of Shadow Monarch falls to the ground. And like the dropping of metal in silence, a very emphasizing clanging sound was heard.
"Gasp!!!" resounding gasps was heard throughout the auditorium as they saw a shocking scene.
Even Shadow Monarch seems to be surprise.
"Did anyone recorded what happened" said by Shadow Monarch.
"Here here, I was able to record it" said by one student who rush to the stage and handed over a camera.
A staff member went to receive it and turned on the large monitor on the stage to show the recording.
It showed the dagger that was nearing Jinwoo and shadows neared the dagger but then a sonic boom was heard and the dagger seems to be hit by something.
"Slow down the videl" ordered by Shadow Monarch and the staff member went to decrease the speed of the video.
Then it showed again the video and skip to the part where the sonic boom was heard and then they saw a blurred object appearing that hit the dagger.
"Enhance the quality" said by Shadow Monarch.
After a while the quality of the video drastically improve was a.... card with the king of spades!
"Wow, ladies and gentlemen, who would have thought that a mere card was able to stop Shadow Monarch's dagger!" said by the person on the mic, hyping up the crowd.
"Wow, that is truly an impressive feat, may the owner of this card say who they are and let me talk to you" said by Shadow Monarch in a respectful tone, trying to find out who threw the card.
But what they receive was only the resounding silence.
"Well then... I guess that is awkward. But let us ignore spilled milk and welcome the start of school" said by Shadow Monarch successfully avoiding the awkward scene as the students once more cheered and put their focus on him.
But what they didn't notice, even for Jinho was the slight smirk Jinwoo wore.
AN: Once more, there are hidden things at play, like what the fuck is that card.
And also, korean things like oppa and that bullshit is hard to write you know, I learned the meaning of san, kun, chan and that and now I need to learn Korean naming stuff, bruh, life is hard.
And I also need to learn how Korean Names are structured, bigger bruuuuuhhhhh.
