Chapter 42: Chapter 41
After what Jack said everyone in the room looked toward the Severus who had a stunned expression on his face but Lily and Hope were different (Of course they would) now they were glaring at the new group with hungry eyes as if they were waiting for an opportunity to squeeze out all of the secrets from them.
Severus looked at him and suddenly a laughter sound came from beside Severus.
Regulus was laughing and said," Hahaha, he did it, what I always wanted to do that kid did that. he short circuit your brain."
Severus looked at Jack for a second and then asked," Is it better to be loved or feared?"
Jack frowned and asked," What?"
Severus smiled and said," you said you are my son right, then I will ask you three questions if your answers satisfied me then I will believe you."
Jack smiled and said," it is better to be loved but it is really hard to do that, if you ask me then I would rather be feared. Fear lasts longer than Love."
Severus then asked," what are the friends in a person's life."
Jack answered," you can find those two-faced goons everywhere in the world but real friends are very precious and you should cherish them over every materialistic thing in the world because everything including loyalty has an expiry date but only friendship is something which can come in handy even after generations."
Severus then asked the last question," what is the biggest hurdle for mankind in their lives."
Severus' this question made everyone shocked and even Jack was confused this time because he was sounding like he is not human. Severus smirked and was about to leave for his room but suddenly Jack opened his mouth and said," There are no external hurdles for mankind there is no one who wants to stop their progress. the only thing that binds them is their thinking of the 'impossible' they fear imagining and accepting the Impossible but history has proven that those who have dared to imagine the impossible are the only ones who have breakthrough all the human limitations."
Severus didn't turn toward Jack but he had a victory smile on his face and he said to Regulus," Come with me Regulus we have three old babies to negotiate with."
Everyone smiled and Severus, and Regulus left to look for any loopholes in school rules that can help them.
Lily and Hope took the responsibility for everyone's sleeping arrangements it was decided that Daphne will sleep with Lily and Hermione will sleep with Hope while Harry and Ron will sleep in Regulus's room and Jack will sleep with Severus.
After setting everything all of them were again sitting in the common room when suddenly Harry asked," Shouldn't all of you should sleep right now otherwise it won't be good if you break the night curfew."
Lily," It would be fine because we are student council right now so we can go anywhere in the school at any time and we can skip classes if we have a valid reason which we have right now."
Harry nodded and Hope looked at Jack and said," So you are Sev's son huh."
Jack nodded and Lily asked," can you tell us something about how he is or your mother's name something."
Jack looked at her and said," He is very strict when it comes to teaching and usually he doesn't allow me and my brothers to call him dad during training but he loves his family the most is a well-known fact in the wizarding world."
Hope narrowed her eyes and asked," You never mentioned your mother's name you know?"
The atmosphere becomes awkward because of how direct Hope was while asking as it is common sense that when someone ignores your question you shouldn't ask that question again.
Jack give a worried smile and said," I am sorry but I don't feel comfortable telling her name."
Amelia on the side was enjoying this show with amusement and was also getting ready to try to stop both girls if they do something unexpected.
Hope said," Ohhhh if that's the case then you should not tell her name to your children also."
Daphne suddenly choked on water and Ron just laughed wildly in whose return he received a glare from Lily and Hope.
Ron immediately becomes silent and Lily said," So what changed about the magic world in future, I mean did they come out of their small mindset."
Jack said," Yeah they did according to what we have read in the history books the difference between muggle-born and the wizard from a wizarding family has become a lot less but in terms of technology their development is equal to none because Dad prohibited anyone to bring muggle technology in the wizarding world."
This made Lily very surprised but Hope was very normal as if she knew why would he do that. Lily. saw her neutral expression and asked," Hope are you not surprised that why Severus would do this."
Hope sighed and said," that's why you should focus when Severus explains something. Have you forgotten what he said when he explained the history of the world?"
Lily asked confused," What did he say?"
Hope replied," he explained that Magic is also connected to the environment around us and when human civilisation progressed they neglected how much damage they have caused to earth that's why with time humans become physically weak. so if the environment in the wizarding world started to become the same then the magic in the air will also start to reduce then there is a high probability that your great-grandchildren will not be able to use magic."
There was nothing but silence after Hope's explanation in the common room.
