Chapter 7: 0007 - Surviving

After several days, I started having trouble breathing, but after a few more days, my breathing returned to normal. I thought the Clan Leader meant it would be hard to breathe for the entire duration of this trial, not less than a week.
No...perhaps this is the 'You will find that it is easier to adapt to foreign environments that was included in the strange message after I completed the Otherworlder Path?
Perhaps as that message suggests, I adapted to the environment after living here for almost a week?
It could be possible, but scientifically for my body to adapt to the environment so quickly...is astonishing.
Once I get the tools and proper equipment, I am definitely going to peek at what lies within my body.
Another reason I wanted to examine my body is that, for some reason unknown to me, the blood of Yautja is bright green in color, not like the red blood I am used to seeing a human and most animals on earth having.
I knew that the Yautja race is reptilian and must have evolved to survive in a harsh environment such as a desert to gain such reptilian traits.
What confused me until now was that Yautja are supposed to have infrared vision, which is confusing, seeing as I was seemingly born with color vision.
So why was I the exception?
Was it due to the influence of my past life or the system?
Or perhaps it is a genetic mutation?
Either way, I was thankful for my color vision. After all, it's much harder to do many things when your vision is infrared.
But enough about that.
Its been six days since I arrived on this planet, and I've done a few things.
First and foremost, I made myself a simple wooden spear with a sharp stone head and a simple but primitive bow.
Of course, until I find feathers, I am stuck using wildly inaccurate wooden arrows tipped with stone heads that would likely miss a distant target.
Its also possible that when targeting a distant target, the arrow could go askew and go sideways.
Either way, since I can now defend myself against any of the natural predators of this planet, I went back to focusing on building, even managing to get a new skill called Primitive Construction Lvl 1.
I also met my first local wildlife a few days ago, a couple of strange-looking herbivores that were quite large, nearly double the size of an elephant, but had the head of a hammerhead shark, not to mention the strange but colorful appendages on top of its head.
They were very territorial and traveled in herds.
I doubt my arrows would be able to harm or kill a beast of that size.
And from the weight and way it moves, I bet its skin acts as a durable armor, like the Rhinocerous from the earth.
I have also encountered many birds and other strange critters that live throughout the jungles of this planet.
After I build a fishnet and set it in the river, I planned on making some simple but effective traps around the Jungle using some fruit and berries as bait.
But I focused on the current task at hand, crafting arrows.
Now, why would I be doing this, you may ask?
I am preparing for the dungeon.
I plan on entering the dungeon by the end of this month, and I had no idea what kind of dangers would be lurking within this 'Dungeon.'
Although if it's like the dungeons from the VR games I played in my younger days, it would pay off to be prepared.
So, not only did I prepare to fight in the dungeon, but I also prepared to be eventually attacked by the local wildlife.
If Herbavores reached the size of those Hammerhead creatures, then what kind of beast has evolved to be able to hunt it?
I couldn't help but shudder at the thought, to be honest.

As one can tell, I have many Path Points at this current time and three paths open to me.
Although based on the roman numeral listed on the three paths, it seems like there may be an option to continue down the paths?
Wanting to test this theory, I filled the Primitive Builder Path with 10 PP (Path Points), giving me a point of Perception or Control every 5 PP and 10 Stamina every 5 PP.
[Path Completion Rewards: +1 to Control and Perception, +2 Stamina Per Level. You have gained the skill, Steady Hands Lvl 1]
[While your current work is primitive, in time, you will grow to build more complex and advanced structures and new ways to form and create your work, all primitive constructs of your creation are now 5% more durable and effective]
And just as I expected, Primitive Builder II Path appeared in its place.
