Chapter 16: 0016 - Dungeon Part 7 (Info Dump)

[A/N: Just warning you here if you did not read the Chapter title, this chapter is by far the longest of the current chapters, and it is mainly comprised of information about his status and skills and the way they work or function]

[A/N: Future Author here, I just finished the chapter(which took me forever), and this chapter is nearly 3,000 words...it was a pain to edit and proofread, and most of the chapter is just information]

[A/N: Future future author who is about to post this chapter, I have been working quite a bit recently, preventing me from writing much, so jut giving you a warning here if you don't see chapter for a while]

As the blue lizardmen charged at me, I had the Ly'hmie assist me by attacking the Lizardmen's faces and backs with its talons.

The Ly'hmie's Rotten Talon skill seemed to cause some kind of necrotic effect to the wounds of the lizardmen it caused with its talons.

The Ly'hmie even managed to blind one of the lizardmen with its Talons!

With the Ly'hmie's help, the blue lizardmen were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I was surprised that they dropped something new!

Scales!

In this case, blue scales!

Deciding to keep and use the scales, I stored them in one of my pouches for later use.

Letting the Ly'hmie's scout out the area and floor for all of the remaining camps, I sat down on a tree stump and opened the system shop.

Not seeing any difference, I opened my status and looked upon my race, Yautja.

[A/N: Some of the following information is from the wiki and myself as my right as an author, all or none of this could be true according to the creator of AVP, but this is my fic, so its fact, just stating this here before somebody comes and tries to refute it]

Yautja (Race)

Description: A Race originating from Yautja Prime, a Terrestrial Planet with Deserts, Swamps, Forests, Jungles, and Savannas.

The Yautja, known colloquially as the Predators or Hunters, are an extraterrestrial species characterized by their hunting of other dangerous species for sport and honor.

Predators are bipedal humanoids, physically distinguishable from humans by their height, long, hair-like appendages on their heads (nicknamed dreadlocks), reptilian skin, and faces, which feature arthropod-like mandibles and no visible nose.

It is unknown even to this day just how long a Yautja can live, but some subjects have been noted to have lived for thousands of years. The secret to their abnormally long life spans is their blood, nicknamed 'Elixer of Life,' a luminescent phosphor green liquid. It is known that Predator blood can partially neutralize the acidity of Xenomorph blood, which has a reputation of being highly acidic and corrosive.

Those that have been noted to use the blood of Yautja are reported to have lived much longer than most of their species. If Predator flesh and blood were consumed, it is known to have the capacity of significantly lengthening a being's lifespan by decades or, in some rare cases, centuries.

Reading through the somewhat large mass of text, my interest peaked when I read the last two paragraphs on the Yautja lifespan and the miraculous properties of their blood.

I then examined my attributes, HP, MP, and SP.

Health Points, HP Regeneration

Description: Your HP and HP Regeneration represent your life and health. If your HP were to reach 0, you would die.

Mana Points, MP Regeneration

Description: Your MP and MP Regeneration represent your Mana and how fast it can regenerate. If your MP were to reach 0, you would fall unconscious.

Stamina Points, SP Regeneration

Description: Your Stamina represents your energy. Doing strenuous activities or staying up for extended periods of time will deplete your stamina. If your stamina reaches 0, you will immediately fall unconscious. Sleep will allow your stamina to regenerate to full.

Reading through what my attributes did, I then examined each one of my stats.

Strength (Stat)

General benefits: Increases the strength of a person and the power of their attacks, even if the strength wouldn't normally increase the attack power. For example, if two people use the same system enhanced bow with a full draw, the arrow of the stronger person will hit harder.

Endurance (Stat)

Stat increases: +5 Health, +3 Stamina, +0.25 Health Regeneration.

General benefits: Increases resistance against physical injuries like broken bones, lacerations, etc, possibly an increased resistance against poison, disease, and acid. A character with high strength and low endurance can accidentally damage himself because their bones can't withstand the stress of their own attacks.

Vitality (Stat)

Stat increases: +2 Health, +3 Health Regeneration, +1 Stamina Regeneration.

General benefits: Increases recovery from disease, poison, acid, physical injuries, internal injuries, and fatigue.

Agility (Stat)

General benefits: Increases the speed at which a person can move any part of their body. Does not necessarily increase coordination.

Perception (Stat)

General benefits: Increases an individual's ability to see and feel things around them. Improves aim. Also allows a person to see through stealth skills. People with Perception above 100 points can perfectly hear the whispers of other people around them. Perception increases not only your base hearing but also your ability to distinguish between noises. Things weren't just louder. You could also select what you wanted to listen to more easily.

Reaction (Stat)

General benefits: Increases the body's reaction time, allowing individuals to fully utilize their increased strength and speed. Someone with poor reaction may not be able to dodge/block an attack or adjust their own attack to hit an opponent who tries to dodge.

Resistance (Stat)

General benefits: Provides resistance to magical attacks. Provides resistance to elemental attacks. Possibly also increases resistance to poison, disease, and acid.

Willpower (Stat)

General benefits: Increases ability to resist attempts to control the mind, alter perceptions, cause depression, be intimidated, etc. Also increases the ability to deal with painful or stressful situations. Based on how a different user of the system(Randidly) describes how it works in conjunction with Control, it can be assumed that it also improves areas similar to Focus, namely the ability to push oneself and keep going through fatigue.

Intelligence (Stat)

Stat increases: +2 Mana, +0.25 Mana Regeneration.

General benefits: Increases damage of spells. Intelligence is anecdotally equivalent to processing power and memory. Logical thinking.

Wisdom (Stat)

Stat increases: +0.5 Mana, +1 Mana Regeneration.

General benefits: Increases area of effect of spells. Wisdom improves your ability to make connections. Intuitive thinking.

Control (Stat)

General benefits: Increases control of spell after it has been cast. Effectively increases the ability to aim spells, the range of a spell, direct summoned creatures, and multitask. It also has a physical benefit, improving one's control over their own body and the precision with which one can use it.

Focus (Stat)

General benefits: Increases ability to cast spells in stressful or painful situations and the speed at which a spell can be cast.

Making sure to read through all of the descriptions and benefits of the stats, I then moved on to the most important thing yet, my skills.

But just before I examined my skills, I checked my status and attempted to examine Paths.

Description: Paths are the passageways of life that the host can take with Path Points. Some paths are unique and have never been walked upon by others, some have only ever been walked by one, and some have been walked by many. It's up to the host and his decisions in life to discover and walk upon the paths of life.

Description: This combat magic skill allows the user to conjure forth an energy projectile in the form of a ball made of Mana. Upon striking a target, the Mana will spread across the target's surface in a small area around the impact before using the remaining mana that was fueling the spell to burn the surface of the target. The farther the target, the less damage the spell/skill will yield.

Level Benefits: Increase in power, size, range, control, lethality, speed, and conjuration time.

Description: This skill concentrates the user's muscular force into one powerful attack. It will leave the user slightly off balance and will consume stamina for every use.

Description: This skill is used mainly by those blessed by Nature or Life, allowing the user to transform mana into the proper nutrients (vitamins, minerals, protein, fats, water, and carbohydrates) that a living being would need to survive. Has a mild restoration power for healing. Helps the body heal slightly faster

Level Benefits: Increase in effectiveness, control, and Range.

Description: This skill is the friend of all Necromancers, allowing the user to raise the corpse or carcass of a dead being to Undeath. But beware, if you are not strong enough to control the risen, you best be careful, for the undead do not fear. They hate.

Level Benefits: Increase in power, effectiveness, control, and range.
