Chapter 30: Multiverse and Endless Possiblities
I offered her some cake to calm her down as she looked like she could accidentally blow me up, not in the fun way unfortunately.
To my surprise, she calmed down pretty quickly and got back to her previous mood.
She fake coughed to her hand loudly before starting to talk once again.
''Ehem* Anyway. I have a job offer to you Kunyo! A job that nobody else could ever offer, I guarantee that! You get various privileges like traveling the multiverse with me and expanding my cult- I mean my- OUR love of explosions! You won't find that anywhere else, I promise you that!''

Kunyo stood at his place frozen from shock for a second.
Multiverse?
Hearing her talk about Multiverse had lit a flame of hope inside of him just minutes ago.
He had to reign it in as he didn't want to sound desperate, not to mention it still wasn't clear whether he could or could not travel like her since she is a God and he is a mortal. A very strong mortal, but still a mortal nonetheless.
Seeing that she offered it up, his hopes reignited since it meant she was confident in her ability to travel WITH him.
He had a hidden fear of this world. Not fear for his life or anything. No, it was a much more spoiled, privileged fear.
Getting Bored Too Fast.
It had been just a few months since he got his system yet he had already become one of the top powers of this world. He didn't think he could defeat the avatar at the avatar state yet, but he knew he didn't even need a year to surpass him and gain a power level avatar could never achieve.
The power ceiling of this planet was just too low.
Spirits could give a fight, but Raava and Vaatu were among the top spirits of this world, meaning after reaching avatar's strength there wouldn't be many left for him to surpass. A few primordial spirits maybe, but even among them there was no saying how many of them were stronger than the concept of order and chaos. Likely less than 5.
Of course, despite knowing all of these, he never stopped or consciously slowed his pace of getting stronger as he knew it would be foolish to restrain himself when he wasn't at the top of the food chain.
He was going to explore and learn about this planet as much as he could but he knew the time for him to leave would come as him taking the peak would be very fast and it would be boring.
If he could sail onto the Multiverse as she promised, the biggest of his worries would be solved.
'Do I play hard to get? What else can she even give me anyway? Multiverse travel is pretty much the only thing I can't get by myself. Strength and various powers are pretty much guarenteed thanks to my knowledge and of course, the gamer system.'
''That's... an interesting offer for sure. But what do I gain from it? It won't take long for me to reach the peak of this world and I can live leisurely after that with absolutely no worries.'' He was definitely going to accept her offer but decided to play his luck on getting more benefits.
Hearing his answer, Megumin fidgeted in her place for a while as she didn't expect this answer.
'Who would say no to this in the first place!'
''OH! You can go back to your old planet! Wouldn't you like to see your parents? The amazing life of peaceful 21st century with all sorts of technology to keep you entertained as much as you like!'' She nodded smugly to herself. That was a good offer, he would surely-
''I'm not really attached to that place. I actually like here more, it's hard to find good nature and clean air in that planet. Don't even mention my parents.'' Kunyo answered dismissively. Those parents weren't his parents and he had no attachment to them, that was the truth. But he lied about not being attached to the 21st century.
Despite having that guy's memories, he still wanted to see the wonders of the technology himself. He refused because he didn't offer anything more than the first time. He already knew he could go to that planet as long as he had access to the multiverse.
''Ughh. I thought you would say yes instantly but it seems I misunderstood you. Seeing your actions I thought you liked explosions as much as I did and you would jump at the opportunity to share its beauty with the multiverse. You're not a man of culture.'' She shook her head.
''Now you're saying you don't even want to visit your home world! Alright just tell me what you want. I will do it if I can.''
Kunyo smiled on the inside. He would prefer it if she offered it herself but it seemed he would have to say it himself after all.
He didn't just practise explosions and fucked girls during his stay here. He gathered information about the so called Goddess, learned about the origins of the village and made friends.
Remember Ahnah? Turns out he is actually a pretty cool guy. They became friends quickly from their shared love of explosions and the status of being the 2 great geniuses of the village.
Fun fact about Ahnah, his lips are pretty fucking loose when he gets drunk. It was easy to milk info out of him.
Kunyo was amazed to learn that the first generation of the village could use combustion release without the tattoo and it was all thanks to the Megumin who literally blessed them.
The moment he learned about that he was filled with greed but held himself back as he knew the time would come.
''I want your blessing.'' He said simply.
Megumin blinked her eyes.
''Umm, I can't actually give you my blessing tehehe''
''What?''
''You see, my so called blessing is just permanently opening somebody's chakra channels. It takes lots of time as I have to force them to open and use my powers to keep them like that permanently but it pays of.''
''Oh...''
''Yeahh. You kinda already have everything I could give you. There is no mythical blessing that would suddenly make you genius sorry haha.'' She seemed genuinely sorry for that as if she did something wrong.
''Damn, I feel like Aqua.'' She muttered under her breath.
''What did you say?'' Kunyo teased already knowing what she meant.
''Ahaha nothing. Oh but I have another offer. This time you would like it. I, myself, the Goddess of Explosions, the Great Dark One that is darker than the black and blacker than the dark will personally teach you about explosions! How about that? Nothing can beat that huh?'' Although she said it confidently, she still had a sliver of doubt. An actual blessing could beat that actually but this the best she could give him.
Kunyo finally nodded his head with a satisfied smile.
''That's great.''
Megumin gave a smile that could melt hearts as she gave a hearty laugh.
''I KNEW IT! You were a man of culture after all. Hahaha! Here I thought you didn't like explosions but you even dared to haggle with a goddess for the sake of explosions.''
[An: He won't leave this universe before settling everything. So even though multiverse travel will happen, it won't happen anytime soon. Avatar will be fully finished before leaving.]
