Chapter 7: Chapter 7
At a bar just outside of Jump City, a bar that is really close to the base of a group of bad guys. With the amusing name of "Moloch Jinx Bar," we can see Wade and Dick sitting in their private box right now. And, drinking their third round, they talk about their training sessions.
Overall, Wade learned a lot of interesting things about his new colleague. Though Dick was quite roundabout, he didn't mention superheroes. Rather, he shortened it to the police department of which he is in command.
Wade was amused as the dick deftly swapped words for a more normal one. It was nice that he spoke fluently and almost automatically when telling a certain situation, changing the details so that it did not indicate his true identity.
Wade had to admit that Grayson was really intelligent. And it gave him a little signal to the brain. Since the apple does not fall far from the apple tree. And Batman may be paranoid, after all, in one world Batman puts into the mind ... the head of a Cyborg, a virus that was supposed to kill him or hurt him a lot. If it turned out to be a threat to the world.
For a good cause, Wade was convinced that you need to train more and work on not only physical skills.
And here too, unknowingly, Wade was helped by Dick. Dick talked about how he tried to combine many martial arts. However, this is not important. Wade understood when Dick discussed how he tried to combine that soba karate and boxing that he could modify a double jump. If he could do more Black Fire skills. And the more Wade listened to Dick, the more ideas he had.
But he put that idea aside for tomorrow. Because he was talking to a friend, and he came here to de-stress and relax after training.
Wade told Dick many things from his modified past. Of course, knowing neither he nor old Wade. They did not use the internet to search for martial arts, nor did they attend any courses. Wade said he once learned from his grandfather, who was an ex-soldier. And it was his grandfather who initiated his love of martial arts. He also figured out that his grandfather had given him a collection of training books on really many martial arts.
Wade was a bit of a joke, told him he was hiding these books in a hideout. And he added that once his mother forbade him to learn martial arts, so he hid the books and studied them. And now that he lives alone and his parents live in their new home in Gotham. Wade still keeps the books in the vault.
Normally, Wade wouldn't give such details. However, Dick not only collaborates with Batman and probably has access to ejgo data. But Dick himself told about his parents who worked in the circus. So Wade, as a sign of friendship, told about the past himself.
But with each subsequent "round". The topics went off course. And Wade found out, among other things, how Dick broke up when Star had a date with Speedy. What happened a month and a half ago, although Dick managed to "destroy" their date. . But all the pain he faced then. She was set free with a new friend.
Wade knowing what's going on despite being drunk. He tried to show support to his friend. And Dick felt better after sharing that burden.
And although Wade told him that if he were in his place, he would pay the gang or get rid of a competitor himself. Which only improved Dick's mood more.
Of course, there were still many different topics after that. Until they both could not drink any more, and Dick was retching.
The interesting fact was that Dick had paid by mistake with Bruce Wayne's initials card, which Wade didn't care about at the time.
After paying, Wade had to take Dick to the bathroom. And help him throw up without falling into the urinal
When they both left the bar, leaning against each other. To their surprise, a black limousine pulled up at their feet. From which a beautiful red-haired girl a year or more younger than Wade got out. Who amusedly took pictures of Dick and Wade, shouting "that a miracle had happened." Overall, the girl was incredulous that someone like Dick could have brought himself to this state.
Moments later he got out of the car, and more specifically from the driver's seat, judging by the appearance of the butler Alfred. Which helped pack both boys in the car with Barbara.
From the fact that they were both not in touch and were half awake. Barbara took Wade's wallet out of her pocket and obtained his address while checking his ID. And after leaving the number of a phone call from her with the words of thanks on a piece of paper, and hangover pills from Alfred. Dwujka drove Wade home and they took Dick themselves.
