Chapter 2: The Girl

Severus Snape walked down the roads towards 4 Privet Drive. He wore muggle clothes and was wearing a frown. He had been sent to give Hogwarts letter to Ashlynn Potter, the daughter of his mortal enemy. Although he felt pity that the girl was abandoned by her parents just because she was not the one to destroy the dark lord. But she was still a Potter and she would be as arrogant as James Potter. (Or so he thought)

He rang the doorbell. Petunia Dursley opened the door. When she saw who was at the door, she frowned. She hissed. 'What are you doing here, FREAK!'. Snape ignored her rudeness and spoke on. 'I am here to give Ashlynn Potter her letter from Hogwarts. Where is the girl Petunia? I have two more letters to deliver. ' Petunia's face got paler. Then a fat man, probably Vermon dursley came. 'Hogwarts?' Snape ignored him and asked again. She stammered. 'Out for an arrond.' Snape snorted. He decided to come back later after he delivered the other letters. As he left the house he vaguely heard their son Dudley's voice shouting, 'Mom, the freak spilled water on the floor!'.

Later that day Snape returned to the Dursleys. This Time he was in a hurry. He barged in. Petunia yelped. Vermon shouted and Dudley hid upstairs. Snape was annoyed. . He asked. 'Where is Ms. Potter?!'. Then he noticed Petunia's guilty expression. Then he looked at Vermon. Snape noticed that he was trying to hide the cupboard for him. Snape glowered at the pathetic couple. He pulled out his wand causing the two to move backwards. Snape threw open the cupboard door.

And there he saw a little girl with long black hair. She was sitting. Hugging her legs. When the girl noticed Snape, she looked up and met Snape's gaze. Snape was shocked once more. The girl was very thin and was bruised. Her nose was bleeding and she had a bruise on her eye. Much worse than the potion master had thought. But it was not this that made Snape so shocked. It was her eyes. Green. Emerald green. The same eyes of Lily Potter. But there was a difference. When someone looked into Lily's beautiful eyes, they saw joy, happiness and hope. All the positive things in the world. However the eyes of this girl…. were broken. It was emotionless. It had no happiness, it had no hope or joy. But not entirely emotionless. Snape looked closer and saw sorrow and pain in the corner of her eyes.

Snape turns to the Dursleys. He glowered at them. Petunia was weeping. 'I will be taking the girl to get her supplies for her new school.'. The coldness and bitterness in Snape's voice made the couple frightened. They were silent. Snape then pulled the girl out and walked out the door to the back garden with Ashlynn. He then evaporated with a 'Pop!'.
