Chapter 39: At home

So we appeared in our house, where our father and mother were already waiting for us, along with Astoria. We didn't take Astoria with us, but we sent her home first before the hike.

"I see that my prodigal son has decided to return. And you, Daphne, why didn't you come home with Astoria, I decided to go to church with my brother."

So he already knew. Well, I guess after Astoria's appearance and our absence, he contacted our secret bodyguard and found out why we didn't come on time.

"Father we were..."

Before I could finish, the container containing the relic fell apart, and the relic began to signal its current location.

The father did not panic, but with a simple wave of his hand locked the whole house in an impenetrable dome. He took out a wand from which he shot a couple of times at the relic, which later calmed down and fell to the floor.

"Hmm, so you went to steal these trinkets from the church. I can't say that I'm very surprised. With your desire for knowledge, you would have gone to explore churches someday, but it was still dangerously stupid. At least you could have just asked me and I would have bought them on the black market. "

"Then all the excitement in obtaining knowledge obtained with your own hands will disappear," I said with a confident smile, but my mother did not appreciate such an argument, slapped me on the back of the head, and said.

"You are punished, young man, now there are no magical studies until the end of the holidays. You will manage the house and our businesses with your father."

I fell to my knees in frustration and could not imagine how I should live to return to Hogwarts to continue my studies.

Daphne tried to restrain her laughter behind me, but mom turned in her direction and also said angrily.

"Do not rejoice early, dear daughter, now you will continue to study how noble ladies should behave, and you will go to tea parties with me."

Daphne made an icy face, but looking into her eyes, you could only see deep despair and pain.

Astoria, meanwhile, looked sadly at her older brothers and sister and did not dare to interfere with her mother's verdict.

"Don't worry, son, I'll dry this trinket and give to you a decent container for it so that as soon as you return to Hogwarts, you can continue your hobbies. The main thing to remember is that it should not be to the detriment of your grades."

I nodded to the heads as a sign of respect and together we went to the dining table. Where the house elves served our evening tea with snacks. Daphne and I told how we got into the church and what spells we used.

My father even praised us for being smart and for preparing the items for an emergency. Mom also calmed down a little when she found out that everything was captured, but she did not cancel her punishment. So we continued to sit and tell how our day went.

The next day I went to my father's office. Where he was already sitting at his desk and sorting through some papers.

When he saw me, he nodded slightly and said.

"It's good that you're on time, sit down next to me and take that stack over there. You will have to review it and give only those papers that you consider important enough. Put the rest in a separate pile."

I nodded my head and started sorting through the papers. They beat either about business proposals, which most of them I considered either inappropriate, or it was just stupid and most likely they just wanted to rob us.

There were also reports about our various business, mostly from abroad. Although a couple was in England. There were also some documents about the information that came about the magical world.

There are new products in the equipment that would be useful to purchase, or that we can start producing ourselves to get additional profit.

As I noticed, almost everything related to gold and coins came from goblins. These guys found all possible ways to earn extra money. Especially to help earn pureblood families, in which they have a percentage of these profits.

After the morning of all this boring work, we gathered again in the dining room where we were served lunch. At the table, I asked how Daphne and Astoria were doing. To which Daphne happily replied. But Daphne looked tired. As I could understand, my mother fulfilled her words exactly and it was not easy for her. So time passed and now it was time to return to Hogwarts. My parents escorted us to the train and said goodbye.

I chose an empty carriage, and Daphne went to the carriage with her friends or acquaintances. I quickly took out the book that my father gave me, about the study of faith, and how wizards can interact with it.

There was also a book about various relics related to faith, how they work, and so on. I also checked my beautifully decorated casket, where there was a relic in it that I borrowed from the church.

After checking that everything was in place, I went deep into reading while the train took us to Hogwarts. I also remembered the Philosopher's stone and started making small preparations to get it. It would be best if I could communicate with the Alchemist who prepared it, but I won't have such a chance to burn it.

And I don't want to risk it, who knows what a brilliant alchemist will do when he sees my soul and magic core. And I do not doubt that he will be able to see. After all, he has been living for several centuries and the understanding of his magic should be much greater than Dumbledore.
