Chapter 12: A Gift You Can't Forget

"Master Akion, what business do you have here?" Levian was a little annoyed by the people in white who were looking at us curiously.

"Can we go to the temple library?" I asked softly to a male priest who passed by us.

"Y-yes, sure…." He stuttered a little. But explained to me where the library is located properly.

"May I know who sir?" he asked.

"I am Akion Naal Sanktessy."

His eyes narrowed slightly, he looked surprised for a moment. Then touched his forehead for a second.

"Forgive me for being presumptuous earlier." I shook my head.

"I am Verion, the priest here. I'll take you to the library, Master Akion."

"No need, I already understand your explanation. Thank you for helping me, priest Verion." I smiled at him and walked away leaving Verion.

When I arrived at the entrance to the library, I saw a golden engraving on the door. The huge door towered over me, my estimate was four meters high. Both sides of the door are guarded by holy knights.

I passed them, they didn't move at all. To think, that Count Invit was so generous in accessing the holy shrine.

**

I have read several books. Levian was assigned to find the book I wanted. Oddly enough a Sanktessy ancestor found out about his family in another county library.

Levian placed four large thick books in front of me. My hands touch need the top. The book is old, the dust is still on some sides. Looks like Levian had time to clean it up for me.

His calm eyes watched me for a moment, he started reading then. It seemed the book I wanted wasn't there anymore. A strange feeling came over me.

If my family was one of the oldest families, wouldn't there be a lot of stories about it? Especially regarding my ancestor named Caesar, he was one of the people who contributed to the Empire.

But a little story about it. Very blurry. These books are useless. At least what I want is to know how to cultivate the poison dry land in my territory.

The only ones capable of growing were in the forest of darkness. Hydroponics is good, a technology that is able to make plants grow well in narrow areas, and can be harvested in large quantities.

However, if the soil condition is not improved, then new problems will arise. Nature always comes from cause and effect.

I looked at Tanka who was lying on the pile of books. She played with his magic several times, bored. Why didn't I think of that before? I should have asked historical witnesses.

"Tanka, have you ever been out of the dark forest before? Tanka looked at me, then nodded.

"I followed Caesar, even I've been to Caesar's residence and fought with him." My heart was pounding, the blood was rushing from my fingertips to my head.

"How's Sanktessy?"

"Nice area. I remember being in the flower garden with Caesar. Yeah, I can't wait to go to Sanktessy again." She laughed.

Levian and I fell silent. Tanka's ignorance will disappoint him. "Sanktessy is the arid region of the empire, Tanka,"

Tanka looked at me in disbelief as if I was joking with him.

"Tanka, a lot has changed from Sanktessy. But the ancients always said Sanktessy was a poor region."

"That's not possible! If there is any richest and most beautiful region it is Sanktessy." I shook my head.

"Isn't it weird, too many changes and omitted documents." Levian and Tanka nodded in agreement.

"What about Caesar, he must be a great knight too right? Tell me."

"Caesar is a great knight you can't imagine. But it's different with you, Akion." Of course everyone is different, right?

"Akion is a swordmaster, but Caesar is a Saint." I fell silent. No one ever mentions Caesar being a Saint. Even in family records once.

"Saints! You must be joking, Tanka." Tanka laughed mockingly at me.

"Is this a secret?" She shrugged her shoulders, "Caesar has high divine power. It seems that because of his great strength he is feared."

My mind froze, unable to digest it properly. Why? Why? Why? That's a question that just popped into my mind.

"Even I only remember Caesar a little. Apparently, our long conversation, and the history, I forgot about it."

She was disappointed.

"But either way, Caesar seems to know what he's doing. She could not hide his disappointment and unease. As for me, I feel disappointed by this blurry fact.

"You're that family of beggars, right?" When he greeted me with his foul insults, I was already in front of the gates of the holy shrine. I looked at him without a reaction. Seeing his impolite behavior, made me doubt the clothes he was wearing.

"You have acted impudently." I raised my hand. Stopping Levian caused a bloodbath in front of the holy shrine. Levian sheathed his sword again.

He backed off. Let me pay attention to the boy in front of me first. Brown hair like his father, and a cocky face that was quite handsome. Maybe... like his mother.

"You're a priest?" I asked as if I didn't know.

"Are you blind?" His arrogance. I laughed mockingly.

This kid is cute.

"You dare laugh at me." Alec waved his hand. Very lightly his hands move to hit other people. As the saying goes, like son like father.

The two of them were without the slightest waste. But my hand is faster. I slapped his hand pretty hard and it looked like it was broken. Because I saw the arms swaying like jelly.

"ARGH!!" He is screaming. People were watching us from a distance, I kept my cool, and touched Alec as if I cared about him.

"You bastard!" he screamed.

"Shut your childlike mouth, Alec." My aura intimidated him.

"You must be wearing this uniform because of an insider huh," I sneered. Wherever you are there are always rotten people who use their power, at least if he enters through the back lane, then he must study hard and be responsible.

But people who want to make things easy by using this rotten path, can't possibly think like a saint. The priest's clothes didn't suit him at all.

"Just information. We have paid off all of Sanktessy's debts." I whispered to Alec while patting him lightly on the shoulder.

It might look like that from afar, but in fact every time I give a clap, I mentally push him down further and knock him down. His body shook. The combination of his hand and mental pain.

A priest can't even use healing magic. Funny. People came closer to see Alec falling. I reached out.

"Someone please help priest Alec. He injured his hand." I called the priest who came to us. Alec was silent, groaning, he left in the arms of two other priests.

I watched from a distance, my anger had not disappeared. The holy temple is not the place.

**

I ordered Levian to rest. As long as he's with me, I've never seen him rest so well. Of course because I don't want to be bothered either. Considering my young age, I still have a childish nature.

"Where are you going Akion?" Tanka followed me. The wind pierced us fiercely, I jumped from the top of the building to another. I listen well.

My guess was right, the spoiled child must have gone home and complained to his father. From inside his room, Alec was moaning by shouting cursing at me. Two priests had just come out of his house.

"Father, you have to make calculations with that beggar family!" He shouted at his father.

"I broke my arm because of it..." He moaned as if his life was in trouble.

"My handsome son, father will definitely make a reckoning on their family." His father hugged Alec. His face was sad and mixed with emotion.

I shook my head watching this skit.

"What do you want, Akion?" Tanka who was watching me wanted to know what I wanted to do.

"Something funny. You must like it, Tanka." I looked at Tanka with a mischievous face. It seemed that Tanka understood what I was about to do to them.

Thirty minutes later, I walked into their house with my face covered in a mask. I started with the annoying Count Invit's room. I tied it up, destroyed the files. His eyes screamed for help.

But unfortunately, the whole house is under the influence of the illusion that Tanka gives.

So they won't hear all this noise. So, I don't need time to rush. I looked at Count Invit's face again. His anguished face comforted me, he writhed like a hot worm. Then I hit him in the face once until he passed out.

Now, I went into Alec's room, he was sleeping like a baby. His disheveled face resembled that of a child. I tossed a thick book from his cupboard firmly in his face. He shouted loudly, fresh blood flowing from his nose and chapped lips.

Yes, that rotten mouth I should have destroyed a long time ago. He screamed for help, no one came to help him.

I slapped him a few times, making both of his cheeks very red. Several times he also tried to use divine power, but he couldn't. Because he doesn't seem to have any. He only went in for style, and status to be more respected.

I pulled his tongue, the tongue is quite long. Boneless tongue causing problems. Talking about status, he should understand who he is dealing with.

"Sho…rrr uu..? (Who are you?)" He spoke limitedly in an indistinct voice. I pressed the tongue that I was holding.

He groaned so hard that tears fell from his eyes. I hit his head because I suddenly wanted to.

"A sinner like you doesn't deserve to know." My voice has been changed using Tanka's magic. He shook his head.

But look, I don't care about him. His hand which was previously broken because of me, I stepped on firmly. He fainted. This is how they should be.

These two people who often insulted my family, I dragged them out. They will get a gift that will not be forgotten for the rest of their lives. My best gift to them.
