Chapter 26: I'm Not Letting You Go

"What the hell?" Dahlia thought when she heard that notification in her mind. 

Spend a sizzling night with Tobias? Was the system suggesting she sleeps with Tobias?

F*ck! 

She pulled away from Tobias who looked confused at her sudden reaction. Dahlia quickly stood up, she needed to leave here before she made a stupid mistake. 

"What's wrong?" Tobias asked, noticing she was flustered. 

"Nothing," Dahlia lied through her teeth and tried to walk past him but he grabbed her arm and turned her around to him. 

They both stared into each other's eyes, her chest heaving and her mind still reeling from what they just shared. 

"You're regretting this," Tobias said, his eyes boring into hers as if he could read the emotions there. 

She wondered if that was one of his abilities - he wouldn't explain to her - or he was just exceptionally good at studying people considering how long he's lived.
