Chapter 2: The Birthday
I woke up and sat up in bed, the morning light was blinding. So I got up and went over to close the curtains. As I was walking over I heard a knock on the door it's my friend Quin. Quin is a tall guy 6'5 with black hair and blue eyes. He works in the sun a lot so he has a nice tan and his shirts are always to tight. He was my childhood friend we are polor opposites. While his hair is naturally black as night mine is white as snow. While his skin is tan from work mines tan from birth. While he's almost as tall as my tree outside I am not even half his height. I'm 5'3.
While he is all muscle I have a nice round chubby belly and perfer to stay inside and read, while he's out and about doing gods knows what. While he's eyes are a beautiful blue mines a dull coble blue. His hair was in a bun and he was wearing our matching hoodie of a cat in a tree saying hang on. He had shorts on and Nikes. "Saphire did you just wake up?" His voice was as deep as he was tall. I rolled my eyes.
And walked to my closet and grabbed the other hoodie and ripped jeans and my combat boots. I grabbed my hair with the single black streak and braided it. So I walked over to Quin and shoved him out the door and closed it. I got dressed and then walked out I never liked jewelry it's useless in a fight. I walked out and blinked Quin was on the phone flirting with someone. He has a thing where he knows he can get anyone and he does.
Me on the other hand. No interest in love guys can kiss my ass. So I grabbed his hand and dragged him down the stairs. We walked all the way over to my door. And we left the house I didn't live in a particular good side of the neighborhood I live in. So it wasn't really a big deal for me. I saw two guys fighting one pulled out a knife and killed the other, same thing everyday. "Happy birthday Sapphhyyy!!!" Quin said with a dumb smile.
I didn't really care if it was my birthday I shrugged and walked on to the woods for the yearly picknick we have. I am curious if he even lives them that much.
