Chapter 10: chapter 10 punishment for breaking the rules
While the sun is hot as hell, lux and others are standing in an open field while all of them are getting scolded by amber sensei.
Amber sensei is the name of their teacher.
All five of them are standing up while both of their arms are holding a water bucket. It has been already 20 minutes since they were holding this water bucket as a punishment.
Because of the sun, lux and others are sweating intensely.
"Hey, teacher just why the hell are we doing this?"- Tommy complains.
" what do you mean? It's not my fault for being late in my class." Replied amber sensei.
"Bu... But, the sun is so freaking hot" Tommy retorted.
"Yeah, this is student abused."- Wilbur also complains.
" so?"- said amber sensei as if she didn't care at all.
After hearing that both of them stopped complaining as nothing would change no matter how much they complain.
The others did not complain but they also agree with the two. It's so fuckin hot and they are even carrying a bucket of water, although it's really easy to carry, the heat of the sun makes them want to throw it away.
"I will go back to the faculty since there are some things I need to finish first, and if I saw all of you run away, you will be banned from this school for 1 week." Said amber sensei before going back to faculty.
As the teacher disappeared from their sights Tommy whispered something.
"Hey, let's go to the cafeteria" whispered Tommy.
"Are you crazy? If that woman saw us, our punishment will only get worse." Retorted Phil.
"But..." Tommy as if he was about to oppose.
But Phil did not let him.
"No, buts," said Phil.
With that, Tommy did not talk anymore.
Tommy groans because of the punishment.
'Hah, just how did this happen anyway'- lux as he recalled what happened earlier.
10 minutes before they went back to their class...
Gallahan won the game easily since his opponent is a mage and he's an assassin type and fighter at the same time. His opponent couldn't even cast a spell before he lost and with that lux team won the match with a score of 0/5.
After that, they went to the cafeteria to buy some food.
As they talk to the seller to buy food, The seller was curious why there are still some students in the cafeteria.
Then the seller explained that lunchtime is over 30 minutes ago.
Just like that, as soon as they heard what the seller said, they run to the class as if they were some cheetah chased by cops.
When they arrived, amber sensei was waiting for them outside, as soon as she saw them, her eyes were about to kill someone.
And that's what happened.
Back to reality...
after a few minutes...
Tommy's stomach is making a loud noise and remembered that he did not eat anything before going back to the class.
"That's it, I'm done, I'm going to the cafeteria"- said Tommy as he put the water bucket before running towards the cafeteria.
" me too Wilbur Wilbur before going with Tommy.
"Hey-" Phil was about to say something but they already run away.
"Those guys are really, ha, forget about it" Phil was about to say something but choose not to since there's nothing he can do.
5 minutes later...
"I think I'm going too," said Phil before going to where Tommy and Wilbur went.
Of course, it was the cafeteria there's no other place to go when you're hungry.
"...."
"I guess it's just us," said David.
"Yeah..." replied lux awkwardly.
Another 5 minutes later...
Both of their clothes were completely drenched in sweat. They didn't talk to each other and just silently stood there with a bucket of water.
"....."
Another 5 minutes later...
Both David and lux stomachs made a loud noise. They were holding it earlier but, it seems they can't hold it anymore. Well, I guess that's natural for someone who didn't even eat yet.
"I, I think we should go too" said lux with an awkward face.
"Yeah..." Replied David.
With that, they put the water bucket away and went to the cafeteria.
As soon as they arrived they noticed Tommy and others, also, hayato and the other two eating with them.
"Hey, why are you guys here?" Asked lux curiously.
"Well, just like you guys we were also late and were punished by our teacher to hold a water bucket in an open field. The teacher can't monitor us because he was busy teaching the other students and so, we went to the cafeteria to buy food because we are hungry." Answered hayato.
"By the way, why are you wearing the same clothe brother?" Asked hayato curiously after noticing the clothes David and lux wore.
"Ah, this, we changed our clothes before going here since our clothes were drenched in sweat. It just happened that I have an extra T-shirt" Explained lux.
"Wait, you mean those clothes?" Asked hayato.
"Yes, why?"- lux replied.
"Hah, why do you still have it?" Asked hayato.
"Why are you making a fuss about it? And why do you ask so many questions just because of T-shirts?" Asked gallahan curiously.
"Is there something bad about it?" Asked takeshi curiously.
"No, nothing really, it's just that those clothes are from a person we know and we actually stole it from that person." Said hayato.
"What!!!"
Everyone was surprised to hear that except lux who was busy buying food.
"Wait, let me explain it first. There was actually a reason why we stole it. The seller of those clothes was actually a fraud and he sells those clothes for a hundred thousand saying it has magic that can protect you from any disaster but, it has no mana in it or runes that can protect the people who buy it, he showed to people that it has barrier but it was only an illusion created by the seller, so, we stole it so he can't sell anymore and we like the design of the clothes." Explained hayato.
'I see, I was wondering why he said that he stole it from someone. I was about to ask this question but he already run away when I was still trying to wear it.' Thought David.
"By the way the food that you are about to order I bought them already," said lux to David.
"Oh is that so, thanks I guess." David appreciated what lux did.
With that, they sit next to others and start eating.
While they are eating, they start to ask some questions to make the mood feel better.
The first one to ask a question was lux.
"Phil was it true that your age is above 30? Because your looks are not the same to what Tommy said" Asked lux curiously.
Hearing that, hayato and others were also curious. Of course, they wouldn't believe that he is already above 30.
"No, my age is only 20. Don't believe to what this spoiled kid says." Answered Phil.
With that, they were convinced after hearing what Phil said. Most of them will never believe to what Tommy says.
"What do you mean you even have a wife"- Tommy convincing others to believe him.
Of course, none of them did and looked at Phil if what he said is true.
" of... Of course, I don't have, but, there's someone I'm seeing." Said Phil.
"See, he already has and her name is-" Tommy was about to say something but Phil covered his mouth.
"Shut up Tommy," said Phil after covering Tommy's mouth.
"Anyway, let's change the topic," said lux as he felt that Phil doesn't want to continue it anymore.
Phil immediately agree but, the others did not let it slide.
"Will we shouldn't interfere with someone's love life but, Wilbur you were once rejected by the woman you like right?" Asked gallahan with a fake smile.
"That's right, it was the most embarrassing day of my life. My friend gallahan, Tommy, hayato, and lux were giving me some advice to confess before someone took her from me, but, I ignored them, and just like what they said she has already had a boyfriend before just when I was about to confess my feeling for her." Said Wilbur while creating fake tears.
'We just meet today though, also, don't tag me along with you, I refused to be part of it.' Thought lux as he can't say anything. If he says something it will only make the situation worse for Phil.
Meanwhile, Phil is about to die after hearing what they said. It's clear for Phil what their Intentions are and just thinking about it makes him about to die in embarrassment.
Phil looked at David, but David was busy eating his carrot soup and ignored Phil. Then he looked at lux and takeshi but, just like David, they ignored him by looking away as if they don't know him.
"Hmm, that's right I remember brother was also rejected before even having a handsome face." Said hayato to help others.
'Since when did I confess to someone?'
"Yeah, no matter how handsome you are, if someone took the woman you like first then it's all over." Said gallahan while pressuring Phil.
"...."
"There is only one solution in this situation and this solution has only two answers after you did it. Yes, that's right your only solution is to confess that you like her." Said Wilbur.
"..."
"But...but I'm still a student," said Phil as he absolutely doesn't want to confess yet.
What they said so far is true, a woman is so unpredictable, that's why Phil agrees with them but half of him is saying no.
Of course, everyone would say no if someone asked them to confess to their crush.
"Being a student is not a problem even if you are older than us." Said Wilbur.
Meanwhile, Tommy and gallahan are dancing in order to convince Phil to confess.
"Confess, confess, confess." - Tommy and Gallahan while trolling Phil.
Phil was sweating intensely just by hearing the word confess but, he did not give up and still tried to refuse.
"I won't-" Phil was about to refuse but before he could say something, Wilbur took his phone and was about to call the person Phil liked.
"I remembered Phil asked for her phone before, so I think it's just somewhere here." Said Wilbur while finding the number.
"You, when did you get my phone," said Phil before he tried to take the phone back as he was terrified just seeing Wilbur tapping the phone with his finger.
But Tommy and gallahan stopped him from taking his phone back.
"Ah, found it," said Wilbur after confirming the number.
Then Phil's face sunk after hearing Wilbur.
Wilbur makes a smile before he taps the call button.
Ring... Ring...
"Hello, who is this?" Said the woman on-call.
"This is Wilbur" replied Wilbur.
"Oh, that guy I meet before, as I remembered I gave my phone number to Phil so why is it you that is calling right now?" Asked the woman.
Just hearing Wilbur and the woman Phil likes conversation, makes Phil want to commit suicide.
"Well actually-" just when Wilbur was about to say the reason, David said something that make everyone stop saying for a second.
"So, what do you guys think about the invitation from that guild?" Asked David.
"....."
"Umm, hello, what did you say?" said the woman on-call.
"Uh it's about-" Wilbur was about to explain but the phone suddenly turned off.
The phone vibrates as a sign that the battery is completely drained.
"....."
With that Wilbur, Tommy, and gallahan went back to their chair and gave the phone back to Phil without saying anything.
"...." Phil couldn't say anything as he was speechless by their behavior, but he was relieved that he didn't confess and thanks to David and the phone Wilbur wasn't able to say that Phil likes her.
"Well, I rejected it since I don't have any intention of joining a guild," said Wilbur.
"Me too" - takeshi.
"I rejected it because everyone didn't get an invitation" answered lux.
"I guess we all rejected it." Said David after hearing everyone who got their invitation.
"But, aren't we in trouble? Most guilds that got rejected will target us." Said Wilbur.
"I think there is a much bigger problem than the guild," said lux as he points his finger behind him.
Then everyone looked in the direction he pointed, only to see amber sensei with a smile at the same time with killing intent.
"So this is where you guys are at" said amber sensei while pulling out her sword.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh"-everyone.
Everyone run away without any second thoughts, when they saw her pulling out her sword.
