Chapter 71: Chapter 9: Date II [3]
Saying that Rei was calm was an understatement. Cliche or embarrassing moments like these ones in such fantasy setting—nay, even if it was not fiction but also in real life, tend to happen randomly anywhere and anytime. Rei would admit that he was involved in such cases several times already.
But this was an entirely new experience.
To sum it up, it was on a level higher than usual.
To say that he was calm would be a big fat lie just as stated earlier. Rei was in a state of mild shock, slight embarrassment, and wonder.
'Now is this what those guys go through each time this type of things happen, huh?' Rei thought wryly in his head.
Though many would say that 'protagonists' from novels or anime that get into this kinds of embarrassing situations—or rather, lucky bastard situations, were just acting like idiots or dense blockheads most of the time at the end and just bluster out of the room or place in embarrassment, Rei couldn't help but show a little sympathy over them.
In the end, he gave a silent apology for having such a biased view to them at first. With that done, his mind wandered in fast speeds as silent thoughts began forming on his mind.
'Honestly, experiencing the real thing compared to only just reading or watching it was totally different'
Yes, public display of such things was really something new, up to the fact that Rei couldn't help but say that it was 'dangerous' in fact.
Well, not that kind of 'danger' if some are wondering.
"Hehe~ How is it?" Tohka asked in a expecting tone as she gestured her hands over her body on full display.
"Hmph. Like what your eyes are staring at?" On the other hand, Tenka looked smug. Seeing his composure crumble like that was amusing, very much so to her liking.
Looking at such figures, Rei unexpectedly choked on his own breath.
He cursed himself for his shallowness and carelessness for not preparing himself enough for this kind of development. Even though he had seen Tohka and Tenka practically bare naked more than twice already, this shouldn't be a big deal.
However, as some say, many things have their own special appeal, and at the correct time and place of choice, those special appeals will shine brightest like a star.
And that terms could be perfectly applied right in this very moment.
To his surprise, it seemed that the two decided to take a change of pace in tastes. Normally, Tenka would've preferred darker themed colors while Tohka preferred lighter themed colors, this time, it was reversed.
Oh his right was Tohka who wore an extremely sexy black-violet shaded underwear set. The that set includes a sultry underwear bra featuring see-through lace with adjustable straps and a gorgeous satin bow with a heart charm. A garter belt in lace with an adjustable cutout waistband, matching charm and a simple yet very sexy thong complements the full set that was matched with black stockings to complete the look.
On his left was Tenka who exactly wore the same set with slight differences. On hers was a light purpled theme underwear set. The design and set was the same as Tohka's, but Tenka has an almost transparent kimono on top of it.
It took Rei a good amount of focus in order not to let his jaw fall off from awe.
"...you two look... mesmerizing," Rei uttered as he felt his cheeks slowly get hot. "...though if I might inquire, aren't you two at the very least embarrassed if someone like me or anybody else looks were to fall just by looking at you like this?"
Even Rei wondered how Tenka picked these sets up. If he were to know, these sets of lingeries wouldn't be normally sold in such a commonplace lingerie store!
Rei had already accepted the fact that he might be acting out of character this time. Asking if they were embarrassed or something if someone were to see them. Normally, he would just shrug off the opinions of others if they were to see them like this, specially those that he doesn't know about.
However, that would be the case if this world—no, humans in general, was that easy to comprehend. Currently in their 'state' of attire right now, he wouldn't want anybody else to see them in this state like he was displaying some kind of display of collection?
Of course he wouldn't.
In the first place, it's okay if you feel proud and blessed having girls with beauties that could rival goddesses in myth, but displaying them as if he were this trophies to people openly?
No.
They were...his. Only his...
This may be presumptuous of him to just lay and declare his 'claim' over them, but to put it in another way, it would be just his nature to keep them for himself.
For all he had known, Rei himself rarely was overly attached on something except for a few chosen ones. Be it him eating spicy food, or him waking up very early, reading novels, or playing games which is based on luck like gachas even if his luck was very low though, he never himself got 'overly' attached to a person as far as he has remembered.
Even if there are some, that would be in his past life, not here.
And Tohka was the one who he first sought to be the person who he can truly say that he would never let go, added Tenka for she was practically 'Tohka' as well even if they are already separate entities currently.
This attachment of his also borders obsession in a way. Yes, attachment was good, that was a normal feeling to reciprocate to your special people around you, but obsession is questionable in many ways.
However, he would not really restrict them on whatever they want to do in their daily lives. Rei also has his faults, to recall what happened a few days earlier, could be considered as him being a jerk in one way or another.
To be fair, he was already trying to make amends on that and better himself as the time passes. He wouldn't dare make the same mistakes again, specially on a scale like that.
'I might be overthinking but... if anything, I want to keep them for myself, only to me... ah'
It was a idea that Rei could say that was dangerous, but nonetheless, he couldn't help but just accept these. These dangerous thoughts were then cut off as Tohka's flustered reply resounded in the changing room.
"O-Of course we are!" Tohka blushed as she scratched her cheek with a smile. "But if it's you, we don't mind, right, sis?"
On the other hand, Tenka huffed as she crossed her arms under her chest.
"Why should I be ashamed? This figures of ours under this attire couldn't be described any more less than magnificent," Tenka pointed out as she stared intently at him. "In fact, you should be grateful to lay your eyes upon our 'magnificent' figures. Shouldn't you?"
"I am grateful enough, you should know that," Rei simply commented back in an honest tone. "Besides, if anything I wouldn't want anybody else other me lay their eyes upon you right now," he added.
He then moved closer to them, closer to the fact that some of their skins were now in touch with each other. The space in this changing room was only small. In the first place, this changing room was meant to fit for only 1 person, or 2 at best if you push it, and right now, there were 3 of them inside. In short, there was limited space to move at.
His nearing approach towards them wasn't denied by Tohka, and even surprisingly, Tenka. If anything, both just watched silently as they waited what Rei would do next.
Rei moved his right hand and slowly reached Tohka's cheek as he touched it gently, cupping it in the next second. Tohka's faced reddened even further, but she did not overreacted or something, if anything, she remained silent as
Meanwhile, his left hand reached for Tenka's lustrous hair as he took a hold of it and brought it to his face. The pleasant fragrance seemingly brought Rei to a trance as he then spoke his next words.
"You two really look stunning right now. Yeah, like goddesses I say," He said. "Coveting your beauties only for myself right at this very moment would be a blessing like no other"
It may sound cheesy if some heard it themselves, but the two didn't particularly felt that way, not at all.
Knowing that Rei was ever so truthful to his the compliments that he sang just now, Tenka huffed once more, but this time, she did have at least showed a small blush at the compliment.
"Hmph..."
Swatting his hands that was gently holding her hair, and huffing once more, was her short reply. He then backed off slowly as he also retracted his hands from the two.
"Hehe~ Goddesses huh?"
Tohka chimed in delight while stroking down her lustrous hair, it seems that she also wanted Rei to do the same to her of what he did on Tenka.
"So, do you want to try more? We have a lot here to choose from and you can take your time," Rei said. "Or perhaps you have something planned on schedule already?"
"Perhaps we do have but~" Tohka replied a sultry tone as she wrapped her herself on Rei's arms. "Staying here a little longer won't be that bad, right?"
Too open...or rather, bold if he were to say.
If anything else, Tohka was extremely energetic today. Taking the fact that they were just released out from medication, it was quite surprising and worrying to see Tohka this lively.
'But that's just how Tohka is, isn't she?' Rei thought as he smiled.
Even so, this 'aggressiveness' of her right now could be passed of as a small matter, at least, if there is nothing more behind that which Rei firmly believes that it wasn't like that at all.
She was clearly inviting him to do more. More intimate to say in fact. But he normally
"Tohka"
In the end, Rei couldn't help but call out her name.
"Mm?"
"Is there something boggling your mind?" Rei asked. "You act...quite different than usual. Like something changed?"
"Do you hate it? This little change if mine?" Tohka titled her head as she asked innocently not noticing how she was currently fidgeting her fingers.
Tohka was worried. Did she overdo it? This aggressive and bold act of trying to get closer to him? To want more?
But thankfully, her silent pleas were met with a good reply.
"No, I don't," He chuckled as he leaned over her. "So, what do you want to do now, my princess?" He whispered lowly right on her ears.
"R-Rei-?!"
This made Tohka jolt her body from the ticklish sensation that she felt. She then stumbled a few steps backward, but luckily someone caught her preventing her from falling back.
And it was not Rei.
"You need to be more careful, Tohka. I would not be always there to catch you back, you know," Tenka pointed as she gently helped Tohka back up.
"A-ah... Uhmm. I will, sis," she replied as she slowly recovered from what just happened.
Rei who was surprised at Tenka's reaction time that seemed to be out of this world when it involved Tohka only could smile in content.
"Don't worry, 'onee-sama', I will be there to catch her in your stead," Rei said teasingly, but there was a hint of seriousness laced in those words that only a few people would notice.
"Shush bastard, because just like me, you wouldn't be always there to be with her. It's better to let her try to walk on her own without my, or your support," She added not even concealing the sarcastic tone veiled on it.
It was a clear that she was pointing it out on Tohka which is surprising, if anything, Tenka wouldn't normally say such things to Tohka, but she did. However, those words were not laced with malice or anything negative.
In fact, she was just giving a plain advice with a tease, if you just remove the sarcastic tone of hers on the picture that is.
Rei who heard those words blinked for a second before playing along, "Oh. I get it...yeah, we shouldn't indulge Tohka too much, is what you are trying to say?"
Understanding that he was playing along, Tenka then took a quick glance at Tohka who was flabbergasted about what the two of them are talking about.
Tohka was not the most knowledgeable person out there, but she was no complete fool. She knows and literally understand what these two were talking about right now!
"Mouu! Why are you treating me like some child!" Tohka exclaimed as she puffed up her cheeks.
"You often act like one"
"That how you usually are"
Rei and Tenka answered the exact same time, their answers were also nearly the same. Both then stared at each other before the latter broke a chuckle while the latter simply smiled.
"Mumumu....." Tohka cutely grumbled. "Rei, you know that—mmph?!"
Tohka couldn't finish her words in the end. She would've complained about it usually if it wasn't by the fact that she was visibly surprised and ecstatic about what happened right after.
Tohka's lips was swiftly stolen by Rei preventing her from saying anything longer. The kiss lasted for a while much to Tohka's enjoyment. The room's heat seemingly heightened up that time.
"How shameless," Tenka commented as she blankly stared at the two.
"Ah, would you believe me if I say that it was a sudden impulse that came over me in that spur of a moment?" Rei explained.
Tenka just snorted as she blankly stared at him, "Hmph"
"That's a no, I guess," He sighed in defeat.
'At the very least, he didn't blast me off out of my blatant display of affection towards Tohka,' he thanked her silently in his mind.
"Ahn... Rei, doesn't this place feel hot...and weird... also, down here," Tohka said as she was begging for an answer. "Nee, what should we do next? Rei~?"
"Tohka, we—?"
"Hm?"
It was then after Rei's incomplete reply, the curtain of the ruffled resulting the three of them to turn their heads on it.
It was a girl dressed in a worker uniform with a clearly embarrassed expression on her face.
"U-Uhm... D-dear customers, please mind your what you are doing in p-public!" A girl who was probably a shop assistant in this lingerie store stammered her wordings several times with a flushed expression. "W-we don't tolerate any dirty or not decent businesses in our store, please refrain from doing so, and if you don't, then please immediately leave the store!" She then bowed.
'...it seems that she is new to work?' Rei thought before answering.
"Ah, I'm sorry about that," Rei quickly apologized and took the blame as he slightly bowed. If anything, he doesn't want to escalate any potential bad things from happening right now, after all that would probably ruin their Date.
As soon, as he heard the curtain ruffle less than a second ago, he swiftly took a lengthy blanket from his dimensional storage and quickly placed it on Tohka's shoulder while also giving one at Tenka who was slightly surprised at it but did not reject. Those said blankets covered almost their whole body in the process.
Even if the one looking was a girl, he still instinctively covered the two. His moves were so natural that it seemed that the blanket was already there in the first place. He wouldn't take any more chances than this.
"Mm mm, a-as long as you understand, okay?!" The worker huffed, still red on her face. "T-Then, I'll leave you guys to finish whatever you're doing," and ending with those words, the shop assistant walked away.
Tohka who looked that she wants for more understood what just happened knew that they should stop now.
"You two should probably get dressed up," Rei said before patting Tohka in the head to at least appease her from the unfinished business. 'Also, I don't really prefer outside plays or anything...' was left unsaid.
In short, Rei was okay to postpone such 'intimate' matters for now. That could be dealt with in the right time and in the right place.
However, she wasn't the type to leave it unfinished just like this. She leaned over Rei again and out her 'mark' on Rei's neck, much to his bewilderment, and then whispered next to his ear.
With an alluring and craving tone, she spoke.
"We'll continue this later, okay?"

[A/N: And here's the chap guys. Hope ya like it cause I am noticing the repetitiveness of many things in latest my chapters. Need to check the quality and such, hope its still on par with your reading.
Quick notice by the way. Man, my schedule is starting to get packed IRL starting this late August up to probably in the next few months. Need to study up.
Still, I managed to get this chap off the bat in schedule...though I promised to release it earlier which was not done....
I'm contemplating if I should put this on hiatus at the beginning of September because I won't probably be able to post any chapters, or even if I do, it's quality should be not up to par with my previous ones because I am focusing on something entirely different from writing.
I could probably make another chap or two before this month ends. Let's just hope for the best to come.
