Chapter 3: Heros?
"A what?" I said in confusion.
"Heroes, the best warriors who are meant to save our world from certain doom." The princess explained.
"Huh," I said, "hang on I am supposed to save your world from certain doom."
"Well, that would explain everything" James interjected.
"We are the best warriors in our world I guess," Mark agreed.
I look at the partially transparent blue UI and see.

"What is this?" I asked no one in particular.
[Ding, this is your status it shows your level in this world.] A voice rang out from nowhere.
"Who are you," I asked confused.
[I am the system, my mission is to answer all and any questions about this world and your skills]
"Ok, um, what are the skills weapons and vehicle summoning then?" I asked.
[Weapons summoning allows you to summon any weapon from your previous world, the higher the skills level the more weapons you'll have access to. Vehicle summoning allows you to summon any vehicle from your previous world, the higher the skills level the more vehicles you'll have access to.]
"Ok, so what weapons do I have access to currently?" I asked intrigued.
[Currently, you have access to: M4A1 Assault rifle, HK416 Carbine (Currently using), M16 Assault rifle, Beretta M9 pistol(Currently using), Glock 22, Colt M1911, Benelli M4 Super 90, M203 grenade launcher, M135 At4, FGM 148 javelin.]
"Whoah, so it's just the kit we had access to as special forces, right?" I asked.
[Affirmative, Weapons from other nations and different periods up to your death will be available the more you level up.]
"Ok, what vehicles are available to me?"
[Currently, the vehicles available to you are: GMV, Desert patrol vehicle, SOV, IFAV, ATV, LATV, M1161 light strike vehicle, NSTV, Pinzgauer 6X6, LMTV 'war pig', M-ATV, RG-33 MRAP, AGMS, Stryker (currently using), RATT.]
"Ok, so I assume the more I level up, the more vehicles I'll unlock?"
[Affirmative, however, the more you level up, you will be able to unlock airborne and sea vehicles]
"Got it," I said, "So I assume the equipment summoning is virtually the same, it only being our current equipment, and the more I level that skill up the more equipment is available to me?"
[Correct]
I look around at the rest of my team who had been listening.
"Did you guys hear all that?" I asked as I look at their faces.
"Yeah, we got it," Mark replied, "I wonder does, Status work for everyone?"
As he said it, a semi-translucent blue screen appeared in front of him.

"Wow," Mark said a bit bewildered.
"Interesting, hmm," I said, this is definitely another world, it's like we're in a video game. The rest of my team all said status and the semi-translucent screens all popped out in front of them. All of them had a few unique skills associated with their role in the team.
"Y-y-your… all … heroes," Alyx muttered, wow, she looks like she is going to go insane.
"This cannot be good… n-n-n-no, this can't be," the princess suddenly exclaimed. I look around and it seems the knights all seemed to be bewildered.
"I have a question," Mark asked, seemingly quite confident, "if we're heroes why don't we have a 'Hero' title?"
Alyx's head quickly snapped up, she wandered over to me and looked at my stats, a look of relief washed over her as she read the titles that each of us had. She hurries back to the princess and whispers something out of earshot. The Princess's face quickly brightened as she heard what the knight commander had said.
"What is it," I inquire, curiosity getting the better of me.
"Well, it turns out that you aren't heroes, which is a good thing since heroes have already been summoned," the princess explained.
"OK, how is it a goo-" My answer was cut off by the knight commander.
"My lady we have to get going before more monsters show up, or worse bandits."
"Your quite right, you come in the carriage with me." The princess agreed and then indicated to me.
"O-ok" I replied, I should change the vehicle that the guys are using it's not that comfortable.
"System, how do I summon and unsummon vehicles?" I asked.
[If you wish to unsummon a specific vehicle then specify the vehicle you wish and simply said unsummon and vice versa to summon a vehicle.]
"Got it," I said, now to try it "Unsummon, Stryker."
[Confirmed, unsummoning Stryker]
A red magic circle appeared under the Stryker, and it slowly started to sink into the ground.
"Summon, RG-33 MRAP," I said confidently.
[Confirmed, Summoning RG-33 MRAP]
Another red magic circle appeared and a green MRAP slowly started to rise out of the ground.
"System, does the camouflage change depending on the environment we're in?" I asked.
[Yes, camouflage will adapt according to the current environment that the user is in, however, camouflage will only change after a vehicle has been unsummoned and summoned again.]
"Good," I said, I look at my team "Mount up and fall in behind the princess's carriage, call me on the radio if you spot anything."
I walk over to the princess's carriage with Alyx following close behind, I glance behind me and see my team mounting up into the MRAP. The engine's loud chuckle startles the knight commander and I smiled to myself. I reached the carriage and the door is already open, I stepped up inside the carriage unclipped my guns sling and I sat down opposite the princess; I led my gun next to me against the side of the carriage. Inside the carriage it was quite comfortable, although it's a little bumpy, I am sat with the knight commander Alyx and the princess is sitting opposite me with her head butler sitting next to her. I didn't notice until now but she seems quite young 16-17 perhaps.
"So, why is us not being heroes a good thing?" I asked politely, I am intrigued about this world now is as good a time as any to collect information.
"Well, that's because heroes from your world have already been summoned," the princess replied.
"Also, what is this world, I'd like to know as much as I can?" I said, pressing for more information.
"Ah. Well, I am the first Princess Katrina Dreda Earlean of the Earlean kingdom" she said, "You can drop the formalities when we're not in front of the public".
"There are three kingdoms, 2 of them are strictly human and kill the demi-humans and demons who end up there. One is called the Holy Kingdom and the other is the Hupruhan Empire. My Kingdom the kingdom of Earlean recently gave rights back to the demi-humans and demons however they are still oppressed and some have to deal with slavery. There is also a demi-human kingdom on the other side of the other 2 kingdoms, however, demi-humans struggle to get there. Finally, there is a demon continent across the ocean however the Holy kingdom, which is closer to the ocean, is at war with the demon continent currently and that is where the other heroes have been summoned."
"So why is it a good thing that we aren't heroes?" I asked again.
"Ah, it's good because the last time heroes were summoned into this world they appeared in a kingdom other than the holy kingdom, now … that kingdom does not exist after the Holy Kingdom did a crusade and wiped out the government existing there. The country then fell into ruin and the land was fought over and eventually emerged as the demi-human kingdom called The Furavia Federation. The federation has a lot of bordered disputes however it has been recognised as a country of its own by the Earlean Kingdom That is why we were worried when your status window appeared without going to a church." Katrina explained.
"Ok, so what are we supposed to do now?" I asked.
"Well, that is up for you to decide, you could go to any kingdom you like as long as my father will allow it of course, though I doubt his word will keep you here for long." Katrina continued, "You could always register as adventurers you definitely have the skill to be at least C rank."
"Adventurers?" I asked.
"Yes, Adventurers are like mercenaries however they take quests from a guildhall and if it is completed, they earn the reward that was specified on the quest." She explained almost giddy with excitement, "Are you gonna become adventurers?"
"Uh, I will have to talk with the rest of my team about that," I said trying to deflect the decision for now.
"My lady the capital is coming into view." A call from the carriage driver interrupted us. I looked out the window and a massive stone palace surrounded by thick high walls, the rest of the city seemed to spread out around the inner walls and was also surrounded by outer walls. It is basically a picturesque view of a fantasy city.
