Chapter 2: The wedding preparation
Hailey woke up by 6am that morning. Her eyes were welcomed by the beautiful wedding dress that was placed right in the middle of her room."So beautiful!"she exclaimed. It was the lovely wedding dress her mum had made a prominent fashion designer. Hailey admired the dress but her smile faded when she remembered this would be her last day in this particular room.
How she wished she could be given extra time,but it wasn't possible. She sat down on her bed letting out a deep sigh. She began to wonder how her new life would be. Hailey had always wished her wedding could be done on an open island. She had always wanted to experience nature!
While lost in her own thoughts, a maid entered her room. "Ma'am, I came to inform you that the makeup artist will soon be here. So please have your bath before she arrives". "Thank you, I'll do so!". The maid left the room after passing the message. "Everything is just happening so fast". She said to herself. Hailey couldn't believe she was actually getting married to Jeremy.
He was the least man she wanted to spend her life with. A boring personality that was never amused by anything. Hailey prayed within her heart that the marriage would bring out something good. She headed to the bathroom.
A few minutes later, she came out with a towel wrapped around her body. She went to the dressing room and got dressed. She wore a tentative dress and came out. Just then, her mother and the makeup artist came in. "Hailey my dear, this is your makeup artist, her name is Tinashe". Her mum introduced her to Tinashe. They exchanged pleasantries. Her mum left the room and Tinashe began her work. Hailey looked at the mirror while Tinashe continued her work.
"Tinashe, how would you feel if your parents arranged a marriage for you with a guy you know nothing about?"she asked. There was total silence in the room until Tinashe broke it with her response. "Well ma'am, I wouldn't be happy with such an idea and to be honest, I would probably run away!". " That's exactly what I wish I could do!"she sighed. "Tell me,do you know anything about Jeremy Reign?". "I don't know much about him but the little I know is that he likes to keep to himself!". Hailey let out a sigh. "I'm done Miss Hailey".
"Nice work Tinashe! Thank you so much!" Hailey said to her reflecting a sweet smile. She got up from her chair and headed to the dressing room to put on her wedding dress. Ten minutes later, she came out looking extremely beautiful. The dress was a perfect fit for her. Tinashe escorted her out of the room but before they left, she took a last look at the room. This was her last day in this room and so she decided to take a last look at it. They both left the room.
On getting to the ground floor, Hailey's parents and guests who had come to congratulate them were amazed by her beauty. She was the goddess of beauty herself. Her father approached her " You look so beautiful my dear",He said to her. "Thanks Dad", she replied giving him a courtesy. She was led by a team of men in black. They worked for her dad. She was taken to a black Limousine. As soon as she settled down, the limo took off to its destination. Her parents and other guests followed them behind.
