Chapter 16: CHAPTER 15: REWIND
Let's rewind the time a bit.
Two of the attacked knights went ahead and rushed into the castle's Knight Headquarters.
"There is an urgent report. Please contact the captain or vice captain," one of the knights said.
"The captain is not in the capital right now. I think the vice-captain should be here, so let's go to him instead," one knight in the station said while entering.
In the office was Dante Hane Ford, Deputy General of the Knights of the Guard.
The knight who was tasked with escorting the Princess immediately reported to him.
"What?! Fifty orcs and fifty goblins?! Are the princess and Duke Hiro safe?"
Dante slammed the desk and stood up, filled with shock and worries.
"Yes, ten of us tried to defend the carriage, and we managed to kill 20 of them. But we were vastly outnumbered. Four people died, and the rest were heavily injured, and it seemed that we were on our wit's end before reinforcement came." The escort knight kept talking.
"Then, a boy about ten years old came to help. He was the Second son of Margrave Jake named Fukiba. He annihilated the remaining orcs himself using his magic and swordsmanship. He was fighting at a speed that we couldn't follow.

"Are you sure he is only ten years old?" Dante asked with suspicious and shock.
"There is no mistake, Sir. After Fukiba defeated the rest of the orcs and goblins. Margrave Jake also joined us and came with us to the capital," the knight replied
"Are the injured knights okay now?" Dante asked.
"Fukiba cast healing magic that healed the rest of us," the knight responded.
"Is it possible to use attack magic, swordsmanship, and recovery magic at the age of ten? This should be reported to the castle as soon as possible. I accept your report. You should go and rest now." And so, Dante dispersed the knight.
"I need to report this to the king," Dante mumbled as he rushed out of his office.

In the drawing-room inside the castle.
The lord of the castle, His Majesty Alex Tera Arizona, Prime Minister Hane Terapin, Duke Andrew Hane Rohan , and Dante, the Deputy Knight, were all gathered in a room.
Dante began retelling the report reported by the escort knight.
"I'm sorry for the sudden gathering. Actually, the carriage carrying Princess Valentina and Duke Hiro was attacked by a horde of fifty orcs and gobins."
"What!? Are they safe?"
"What?!"
King Alex and Duke Andrew slammed the desk and exclaimed as they got up.
"Yes. Out of the ten knights guarding them, four people were killed before they were able to kill twenty of orcs and goblins. The one that saved them was Fukiba when they were unable to hold on any longer. Fukiba came and went on to destroy the remaining orcs and goblins alone."
"What?!" All the people exclaimed this time, they were too shocked.
"Isn't the child of Margrave Jake studying at the school in the capital?" The Prime Minister Terapin questioned Deputy Knight Dime.
"No, it was the ten years old, the Second son, who's going to attend this year's announcement, that rescued the princess and Duke Hiro," Dante replied.
"Is that true that he is ten years old?" One lord asked.
"I heard about Fukiba from the Knights who accompanied him, but they said he was a genius who, while only being ten years old, was already able to cast advanced magic skillfully."
"A ten years old using advanced magic…" they mumbled.
"And what's amazing is that Fukiba, after destroying the orcs, healed all of the knights with recovery magic, and stored the orcs and the corpses of the knights in the item box before heading towards the capital." Deputy Knight Dante continued.
"He also had an item box?"
Everyone on the spot was surprised.
"Andrew, do you think that there are a lot of people who have an item box, able to do recovery magic and not to mention offensive magic at the age of ten?" King Alex asked Duke Andrew.
"I have never seen such a human being. And since Fukiba is the Second son, so he shouldn't have the right to inherit the head title," Duke Andrew analyzed.
"And also Her Highness Princess Valentina are already obsessed with Fukiba, and they seem to have sit together with him inside the carriages and entangled their arms on both sides…"
"" … ""
King Alex face cramped.
"And he is only ten years old. I was wondering … how does the boy feel about this, Dante?"
"No… I don't have that information on me." Deputy Knight Dante received a chilly stare from the King and answered with a cold sweat.
"Herapin, what do you think we should do?" King Alex asked.
"Fukiba is the Second son, so there is little chance of him inheriting his father's title. How about granting him his own title so that he can have his own house? In the future, he won't have any problem with marrying anyone. And also since after the announcement is done, he will return to his territory, how about giving him a mansion in the capital and have him live here. Fortunately, his other brothers are already living in the capital city, so there will be no problem," Prime Minister Terapin suggested.
"It is good," King Alex and Duke Andrew said in sync.
At that moment, someone knocked on the door.
"His Majesty, Princess Valentina and Duke hiro have arrived at the Royal Castle." The guard reported.
"Bring both of them here," the King ordered.
A little later, Princess Valentina and Duke hiro entered the study room.
Both of them bowed down.
"Daddy, sorry for worrying about you this time," Princess Valentina cooed.
"It's okay. Tina, as long as you're safe, everything is fine," the King warmly replied.
After the reunion, they heard the princess' and Duke Hiro side of story, which was no different from what Deputy Knight Dante had reported.
Although there were instances where Fukiba was beautified in their story, in their eyes, Fukiba was already some sort of prince charming. Moreover, they talked happily about Fukiba.
King Alex and Duke andrew sighed.
"So, in the report, I heard that a princess Valentina fell in love with Fukiba," King Alex mused.
With those words, princess Valentina blushed as they turned their face down.
"Looks like the reports are true." Prime Minister Terapin responded.
"Do you want to be of you Fukiba's fiancee?" King Alex asked them.
"I want to be!"
Realising that princess hand answered at the same time, Princess Valentina causing their face to flush even more.
Both King Alex and Duke Eric sighed yet again.
"How about we engage Princess valentina to you with Fukiba?" King Alex recommend.
"Andrew, is that okay?" King Alex asked to Duke Andrew.
"However, for his deeds this time, baron is the limit. If he wants to marry princess Valentina, he must rank at least an Earl or more. How about that?" Duke Andrew mentioned.
Three people, King Alex, Duke Andrew, and Prime Minister Terapin, smiled suspiciously.
"Okay, that way we can marry them to Fukiba when he is ready." And then they came to an agreement.
It was the moment when the engagement of Princess Valentina with Fukiba was decided, without Fukiba.
