Chapter 150: Let's Go
It was afternoon outside, and the sun was hanging high in the sky.
"So, tell me, what have you discovered in the previous days?" Yang Zhai asked Si Yu and Li Na.
Both of them had sneaked out of the village leader's residence. Yang Zhai had told them to inform him of everything they find after every week.
"Brother Fen, there are a total of eight cultivators remaining in their group. Three of them are rank 2 cultivators, whilst the remaining five are rank 1 cultivators." Si Yu began to tell everything they had found to Yang Zhai.
"Also, there is a room in the village leader's residence, where they hide half of the cultivation materials. There are also no cultivators in the village leader's residence."
"The village leader also only has a daughter, and she is also very nice. I don't think she is involved in killing innocent people."
"Yeah, I think so as well, big sister Xin Yan is good to us and takes care of us. She also doesn't get herself involved in the village leader's matters and mostly stays in her room and her room's yard."

"What about the house that you went to for the past week?"
"There is a door leading underground in that house. All eight cultivators live there. They also want us to become cultivators, as they are short of cultivators. This is why they took us there every night to train." Li Na looked at Yang Zhai and explained everything without hesitation.
Yang Zhai looked at the two and examined their expressions. He could tell that they were not lying.
They managed to fool the village leader and the others not because they were good at acting, no, not at all.
They managed to fool them because of many factors. First of all, both Si Yu and Li Na hated the cultivators. So, the feelings of hatred they gave were true and were not acting.
Second, they thought that they were helping Yang Zhai get rid of the bad guys.
Third, Yang Zhai had trained them for a whole week only to act on a single role again and again.
Fourth, he had told the two to keep quiet most of the time and not say anything unnecessary. It was because people unintentionally give out crucial information and clues without even realizing it when speaking, resulting in their true purpose getting exposed. On top of that, both of them were still kids, so there was a higher chance of them being exposed.
Fifth, and also the most crucial, Yang Zhai had truly injured them when they had acted outside the village leader's residence a week ago. So, the tears were true and not acting.
Yang Zhai had combined both reality and acting for Si Yu and Li Na to succeed without getting exposed. And there was not much lie in Si Yu and Li Na's story to begin with.
They hated cultivators, Li Na's mother was killed by a cultivator, and then they were also attacked by the one who killed Li Na's mother. Thus, there was not much lie in the story that they had told the village leader.
It's just that they added a few things, such as, instead of only Li Na's mother, they said that all four of their parents were killed by a cultivator.
"Very well then, you can go now." Yang Zhai said this and turned around to leave. He now knew everything he needed to know. Now, there was no stopping him and he could act.
Li Na and Si Yu looked at each other with confused expression. They had thought that brother Jaen Fen would ask some more questions. But, he turned around to leave without saying anything.
For the next week, everything was normal and nothing happened.
However, after a week, the night seemed to be darker than the dark, and it was quite quiet.
Si Yu and Li Na exited the village leader's house together with the same woman. All three of them began to travel towards the same house as they had been for the previous week.
They came in front of the same broken house. The woman began to look around to see if someone was around or not.
Si Yu and Li Na were looking at the woman looking around: however, at this moment they saw someone wearing a black cloak falling from above, behind the woman.
The person grabbed the mouth of the woman from standing behind her.
After that, the person moved his second hand forward and cut the neck of the woman with a knife from behind. Blood began to fall from a fine line drawn by the knife on the neck of the woman.
Si Yu's and Li Na's eyes closed instinctively.
The eyes of the woman were opened wide, she fell to the ground, a shock, fear, and disbelief could be seen in her eyes.
The blood was slowly accumulating around her body on the ground.
"Wh, who…who are you?" Both Si Yu and Li Na fell to the ground. They were trembling from fear. They could only see the back of the person.
The person turned around. Si Yu and Li Na saw drops of blood dripping from the knife held by the person. This struck even more fear in Si Yu and Li Na.
The person removed the hood from the face.
"Brother Fen!" Li Na and Si Yu felt a little relieved after seeing that it was Yang Zhai.
"Brother Fen, why are you here and why did you kill her?" Si Yu stood up. However, his legs were still trembling.
"We have to clean some bugs." Yang Zhai only said this.
Yang Zhai believed in no one, not even in the one he could see from the inside out. Even though he himself had sent Si Yu and Li Na into the village leader's residence for more information, he was still careful.
This was the reason he waited for three days before acting. He also did not tell them his plan. To them, it was a surprise.
He was being careful and wanted to take everyone by surprise, not even sparing his own people.
Even though Yang Zhai knew that they had not lied to him, he liked to be more cautious than sorry. Now, even if Si Yu and Li Na had lied to him, the enemy would be unprepared. He believed in no one.

"Let's go, lead me the way to their base." Yang Zhai said this and entered the broken house.
"Brother, are…are you going to kill all of them?" Si Yu hesitated before getting enough courage to ask.

Of course, Li Na had seen her mother die in front of herself, but that situation was different from this. This was Li Na's mother and because of losing her mother, Li Na couldn't think of anything.
But now, she could think straight when she saw the woman die right in front of her. She had a fear of an unprecedented happening.
"Let's go." Yang Zhai looked at them with tranquil eyes, only saying this.
"Okay," However, Si Yu lowered his head and did not dare to deny Yang Zhai.
