Chapter 1: Chapter 1

"Soo… let me get this straight, I died in my sleep, huh, well I suppose it's not the worst way to go."

Raphael was still sceptical of this self proclaimed god's story, he personally thought he was in pretty good shape, his abs were as tough, thighs as hard as diamond, and he had a pretty good metabolism.

'Well, no matter, the point is I get to reincarnate, and if the price I had to pay was death, then I don't mind, personally if I knew I would get to reincarnate after death, I would have ended my misery long ago!'

The God muttered something under his breath

Raphael mustered the courage to speak to this imposing figure, despite the malicious aura hounding his soul.

"Phew… okay then God, so how exactly does this work, do I get wishes, a system, or just a random cheat?"

The God wasn't really listening, he looked like he was in autopilot, I would assume reincarnating a bunch of undeserving trash for eternity would do that to you.

"Hmm… oh umm, you can have wishes, I believe three would be the traditional number, so go ahead and tell me your wishes mortal."

The God answered him in a lazy tone, which did no go unnoticed by Raphael.

'As much as I'd like to pull one over on this humanoid lightbulb, I'm not fond of possibly ending my journey to God-Good before it even starts, especially after what he told me, it seems like I would thrive as an Origin-God, but then again, all good Deities need to have a starting point, and I must make the most out of mine, I require an immortal body, that can resist the ravages of time, a strong mind that can resist temptation, and a strong physique that can go ravage armies.'

All of a sudden he thought of something, or rather someone that met his criteria, an immortal body, a mind that has weathered a thousand years of history, and can resist his most basic urges, even when drained of blood, a physique that tank damage, and heal instantly, an indestructible body with the ability to sire himself an army of vampires, and the cherry on top is the demeanour of this person is what he tried to perfect in his previous life.

"Elijah!"

He whispered.

"My first wish is to have the body, powers, and wisdom of the original vampire. Elijah Mikaelson."

The God agreed with a resigned sigh, that was more like a dozen wishes in one, however he did not much care, and simply wanted this mortal to leave.

"Very well human, I shall grant this wish, now speak your others."

The moment the God spoke those words, he was bathed in an ethereal light, he could feel the changes, the appearance of his soul avatar changed into that of Elijah Mikaelson, and his mind, it felt like he had gone through the trials of hell, and came out the other end, he could feel his willpower had been tempered, and his mind had become a fortress that could only be broken with the power of 100 witches channeled into the right spell, which was odd, given how neither he nor the God had mentioned witches, but he guessed it was become of whom he had now become.

"Hum, I can feel it, a surge of power originating from my soul, I suppose this is why the soul of a vampire is powerful to be caged in a human vessel."

The God was a little frustrated by the mortals rambling and urged him to hurry up.

*cough, cough*

"Human named Raphael, would you mind hurrying yourself along."

'Sigh* you'd think an Origin-God or whatever would have more patience, I hope they're not all like him.'

Of course he said non of this aloud.

"Right, you'll have to forgive me."

'now let's see here, that wish alone had pretty much covered the foundation of of my power, I suppose what I desperately want now is a way to increase the power of my soul, incase the strength of my body becomes irrelevant, oh right, he mentioned something about how Gods can devour the soul brands of spirits that inhabit creatures created by a God with the power of creation, he mentioned that Gods are entities that have always existed, and simply pop into existence when the time is right, and how they are not truly birthed, and any being that has existed before creation, would supposedly have the power to create, let me ask him.'

"How exactly could I become a God?"

The figure looked amused at this question.

"A God, unthinkable, the best you could do is become a Deity, but that's only if you have the right opportunities, and survive them."

"But it is possible, right?"

"Sigh* yes it's possible, fine I will tell you, first you must increase the strength of your soul, and challenge a god for their innate domain, which holds their divinity, and well, umm… I forgot the rest!"

Raphael looked at him perplexed, like he had crushed his grandmother, and walked away after saying oops, expecting nothing to happen.

'You, you… TRASH BASTARD DOLT MORONIC IMBECILE.'

He released a heavy breath, like he had been holding that back for a while.

"Hey, that's quite rude, would I expect you to remember your 1st grade homework, no I wouldn't because it's something that no longer concerns you, since you've already passed that portion of your life, just like how I've already become an Origin-God, why would I bother remembering the mundane cause when I could simply enjoy the effect, also that was eons ago, you can't fault a man for being a little forgetful."

Raphael looked straight forward, and remained expressionless, a pale face, and lifeless eyes.

'Crap he could read my thoughts, damn, of course he can read my thought, he's a God that can grant wishes, how foolish of me to expect anything less.'

He thought his future was ruined, because of his momentary lapse in judgement, luckily however the entity shrugged it off.

"Mortal, how many times must I insist."

Raphael had suddenly remembered why he had asked his question, along with this gods impatience.

"Ah right, right, so I was correct, consuming souls to refine my own, is not only desirable, but necessary, okay I wish for the ability to assimilate the soul brands of mortals, and refine my own soul brand, which will increase the quality and quantity of my soul without limit."

'Finally, it seems I was right to intimidate him a little, now this slow little bastard is finally making his wishes with haste.'

"Very well, it shall be done."

He felt his soul had fundamentally altered, before he was prey, but now… a predator.

'This, it's a feeling I never had before, euphoric, also this god, I can feel it, his soul is also like mine, he can devour soul brands.'

"Your second wish has been fulfilled, now as much as I've enjoyed our time together, I think it's time we part ways, to please make your final wish."

The God implied with as much sarcasm as he could muster, which Raphael couldn't help but find funny. This almighty being is an entire universe compressed into a humanoid being, and presumably it contains the law power of time, and yet he was so impatient, although I guess having a bug squander even a second of his time he'd probably react the same way.

"For my final wish…"

Raphael was stumped, he could not think of something that would truly benefit him in the long run.

'Well I suppose I'd like something to make daily life easier, as well as increase my threat level, I suppose the dark one's dagger could be nice, but then I could be controlled and killed by that little dagger, and then he'd have two mortal weaknesses, and I doubt the God would waste time tweaking the blade for me, to get rid of the previous dark ones and give the blade a clean slate, and also I'd like to not simply be bound to the dagger that holds the darkness, but I would like to be the darkness, then I wouldn't be corrupted by it, I would be the things that corrupts, plus I would have access to such large reserves of black magic, being injured by anything other than the dark ones dagger, and the white oak stake would not hurt that much, *sigh* it's a shame I can't have…'

"SHUT UP, with all your wining you've wasted more time than it would take more me to tweak that piece of metal, now your third wish is granted f**k off."

The God flew into rage, the impotence of this mortal, no matter how many times he was kindly warned he still would not learn his lesson.

The moment the God spoke those words from out of nowhere his avatar burst with black liquid, as if a pond of water was sealed within him for it to burst out now.

The liquid was swirling around him like a small tornado, making whipping sounds as it swatted away at the empty white space, the liquid was irregularly flashing with blue light, like there was a storm inside the swirling black liquid.

As this was happening he looked helpless to do anything, but along with that was a feeling of omnipotence, as if everything rightfully belonged to him, the shine in his eyes went through a change, the once brilliant and expectant gaze, turned cold and malicious.

The god looked at this in awe and thought.

'Ahh whoops, I don't think I took into account the amount a dark one is corrupted, it's in their nature to be devious and calculating, but it's been so long since I've seen something so amazing, the beauty and allure of this darkness is so, soo… sumptuous.'

The gods eyes shined with a perverted glow as his tongue had started excreting saliva.

"Ohh… whoops, that caught me off guard, I hadn't expected my attraction to the dark could still be so active."

The darkness was enveloping his body as a rapid rate, and the God could only catch faint glimpses of Raphael, before eventually, any gaps in the black liquid had had been filled, and Raphael was lifted into the air by the sheer force of this magical dark liquid.

"The darkness is in becoming one with him, the very essence of his self has been altered, even I would have to put in a lot of effort in order to restore him to his former self, although I suppose simply creating a new Raphael would be more efficient, ahh forget it, I can't be bothered."

The darkness got smaller and smaller, until it compressed itself into oblivion, seemingly disappearing, and out of the darkness dropped a wavy silver and black dagger, with the name Raphael Mackenzie engraved on the side, the dagger dropped to the ground as Raphael vanished.

The God waltzed on over to the spot that Raphael disappeared, he leaned over and picked up the dagger.

"Huh… well, what the heck should I do with this?"
