Chapter 7: Chapter 7-Sword Art [3]
As I slowly and safely get out of the cave
"Haa...finally some fresh air"
Taking a deep breath outside I felt my body slowly relax, helping me regain some of my energy
The air outside was incomparably different compared to the air inside of the cave, which was extremely stuffy
Staring towards the east with my improved vision, I could catch a glimpse of the huge megacity on the horizon. The tall skyscrapers and the ever-moving sky trains that operated non-stop made the city look extremely lively
"Beautiful..."
Was the only word that I could mutter as I stared at Ashton city
It's truly fascinating how despite humanity's situation they managed to unite and build such a beautiful city. And now this beautiful city that I was staring at will be my new home
"Alright!"
With renowned vigor, I immediately head down the mountains
It's about time I collected the [Karv style]
If nothing had changed then the sword art should be located a couple of kilometers behind the Corsica ridge
It took me 5 hours to hike down the mountain, and a further 10 hours to reach the approximate area where the sword art was located
A large forest that spammed over several kilometers appeared before my view, and as I reached the entrance of the forest, without even thinking twice I chose to enter
Although I was exhausted from constantly moving all day, I decided to grit my teeth and continue my journey.
Some might say I was too impatient with regards to how I was neglecting my body in search of cheat items, but I beg to differ. Not only was I reincarnated inside a world where the weak were prey to the strong, but in the near future, if one was not strong enough, only death awaited them
If I want to be strong enough in hopes to overcome the certain death flags that awaited me, my only option was to increase my strength as much as possible
Every minute that I saved was a minute I could use to train myself
Despite being dark outside my vision was fairly unaffected, partly due to my improved body which was all due to the miraculous trait skill {Titan Body}. The only problem was the fact that I was in the middle of a forest. So even if my visibility was clear it was still hard to make out what was in front of me
"If I don't remember wrong there should be a river nearby"
My current goal as of now was to look out for a river that directly flowed from the highest peak of the Corsica ridge
It didn't take long for me to find the river, but by the time I found it I was really exhausted. I think I've been at it for more than 18 hours at this point, but I continued to walk ahead
These last two days are probably the best days of my life. Never before had I traveled, never before had I talked to someone who didn't look at me with disgust and discovered so much, from a magical garden to the majesty of a city that will probably never exist in my old world
Pausing myself as I looked ahead me at what appeared to be a tree, which stood alone by the river and with a giant 'K' on it
I slowly approached the position of the tree, and dived into the river, the deeper I went, the more I could not bear the pressure and I still can't see the bottom of the river
As some blood started to follow from my nose and ears under my mask, I gritted my teeth and cursed because normally with my strength now, I could stand more pressure than what I stand now
'It probably linked somehow to the legacy of Grandmaster Ivanov, I just hope it not like the test made by Grandmaster Suzuki where time plays a major role'
As I went deeper and deeper, my hand started to contract and some blood also come out from my hand because I used them as a shield
It wasn't until I hit the ground that I breathed a sigh of relief, that's when I started looking for a small cave where there would be a bloody "K" on its surface
It didn't take long for me to find the cave, as it was pretty flashy, as I enter the cave a light flashed me and blinded me, when I opened my eyes the surroundings has completely changed, from the deep bottom of the river to a messy room
As I started breathing again and recompose myself, a huge pressure that I never felt in my life come down to me, I couldn't move, I couldn't even flinch or even blink my eyes
It was as if a huge mountain crashed down at me, as pain started to assault me, I endured the pain cause I was used to it, and started to look at my new surroundings
What appeared in front of me was a man with long black hair and a beard sitting in a relaxed manner and with a bottle of vodka in his hand with a bored look on his face
As the man stared at me I felt like he was staring at my soul, I felt naked in front of him, I was like a sheep that was ready to be eaten by a wolf, as if all my secrets were being revealed to him and I knew who that man was he was Grandmaster Ivanov
"Who are you lad? and why do have that old man energy on your body?"
I wanted to answer Grandmaster Ivanov but I couldn't, I tried to speak but I couldn't, no matter what I try to do I can't do anything, Grandmaster Ivanov looked at me deeply as if he find out the answer to his question he started to laugh
"Hahahaha, so you are his successor, but what are you doing here lad?, aren't you already his successor so why did you come to my legacy?"
The longer Grandmaster Ivanov was emit the pressure the more powerful it become, finally I couldn't stand anymore as I kneel and spelled some blood, which came out through a hole that opened and then closed in the mask
"Ohh, sorry about that I totally forget about it" just as Grandmaster finish speaking, the pressure was gone as if it was never been there
Staring at Grandmaster Ivanov with cold eyes, I stand up, it was the first that after I was reborn that someone caused me so much damage, before shaking my head as I take a deep breath
"Hello, Grandmaster Ivanov, my name is Arsene Lionheart, as you guessed I am indeed the successor of the [Yūrei style]"
Standing up Grandmaster Ivanov walked up to me as he stared deep into my eyes
"So what are doing here lad, but before that could you please take off that sh*t of your head"
I sigh as I take off my mask out of respect for Grandmaster Ivanov but I have a feeling that if I don't take my mask off something probably bad will happen to me
Just as I take off my mask, Grandmaster Ivanov silently stares at my face before cursing out loudly
"Fu*k you all, fu*k gods, I don't care who was that created me but fu*k them all, if only I have that face I would not be single and those two bastards would not mock me, girls would not escape when they see me!!!, for the fu*k shake this is unfair!!!!"
As Grandmaster Ivanov throw the bottle of vodka before letting out a sigh and starting me again
"Sigh I need to calm down, now I don't have any more vodka, as for you, put back your sh*t on your head, I don't want to see your fu*king face and can you tell why are here now?"
I let out a small chuckle before putting my mask again 'he is pretty direct, he says what he thinks without caring what others would think'
"I am here for your legacy, I want to be the heir of the [Karv style]"
Staring at each other eye to eye for a couple of seconds, grandmaster Ivanov suddenly smiled and asked
"I am curious, if you are already that old man heir, why would you want my [Karv style]"
"Why I want the [Karv style]?, it is pretty simple, I want to fusion those art and form an ultimate sword art"
Grandmaster Ivanov laughed out loud at my answer, before making a serious expression
"You have quit ambition here, but I like it, if you don't have ambition you are just an empty shell, but if you want to be the heir of the [Karv style], I hope you are well prepared, if you pass this test I give it to you"
Grandmaster Ivanov snapped his finger, as a giant rock like a meteor clam down at me at high speed as I cursed
"Fu*k"
As I held that giant meteor, I felt my hands torn apart and my bones cracked but I didn't fall, I continue to resist and gritted my teeth
But that was still not enough, as the power of the meteor continue to increase and put me down on my knees
all of a sudden I started to remember all my previous life 'if I had that power even just the half of it in my previous life, I would not be abandoned, I would not be tortured nor betrayed, nobody could see me with that expression of disgust because even if they would not love me, they would fear me. Now that I have a second chance and have a chance to have that power that brings fear to my enemies, I will not back off, I will get that power no matter what!!'
"Ahhhhhh"
A massif power suddenly come out of nowhere that passed through my body as I slowly stood up
Grandmaster Ivanov watched me as I slowly stood up, he then snapped again his finger and the meteor disappears like if it did not exist
"You are quite well built, to have that much power at your age is impressive but what impressed me the most is your mentally, if you could not endure that bit then you would probably never master the [Karv style]"
"Very well"
Slowly he walked up to me and tapped my forehead
Immediately I felt my mind turn blank like the first with Grandmaster Suzuki as a flood of information rushed into my mind
While I digest the information, Grandmaster Ivanov's body slowly became more and more transparent.
By the time I managed to sort out all of the information inside of my brain Grandmaster Ivanov was already almost fully transparent
I immediately got on my knees and paid my respects
"Thank you! I will make sure to remember your kindness!!"
Grandmaster Ivanov let out a smile, as he says
"Let's the world once again know the terror of the [Karv style]"
