Chapter 3: CHAPTER 3: The value of a man
After the alarming story of humanity's past, the self-proclaimed elf continued by saying am sure you are aware of the rest of the story.
"Wow" said Herman in dazed expression that was a tragic tale by the way you should know that I don't remember the past so this story you just told me is a real eye-opener so what happened to humanity. At that moment although my memory was gone their expression told it all, then Enoch talked and said the humans never kept their vow to any that deared reveal it's existance and in exchange, they pushed us towards extinction labeling us as demons, evil spirits, heretics of their gods, and then they placed bounties on us any time we were discovered amongst them and hordes of humans started hunting us where ever we went. Then whatever was left of us went into hiding to preserve ourselves only to eventually discover that the human numbers were growing wildly.
At first, we thought that was the start of our problems only to discover that the further we went on hiding, our numbers kept going down then we had no choice but to pull some humans into our society to preserve our bloodline.
As time went on infighting amongst humans became quite chaotic that non was safe from the brawl of men, they kept on fighting bringing everything in their way down. But we needed them, Each human carries an immeasurable amount of essence that is required for our lively-hood, our existence requires a price, and humanity provides. man, a being gifted by God had all he would ever need and more from the point of his creation. We are the evolution of humanity but even at that we still rely on humans.
we cannot exist without humanity. "sob!" sob with the clearing of hers nose Cruz a character that i had only recently met was weeping in regards to the tale of humanity. yet even I felt pity for their existence, bounded to another that you do not love, one that seeks your demise and does not wishes you prosperity.
'' Hey! what the heck do ya think your doing '' the other elf hidden within shadows said we don't want your pity, we've been doing alright on our own, thank you very much but then you probably would not mind dying said Enoch suddenly he was cutted off by Cruz and then Cruz began by taking a deep breath before speaking herman just as much as you need us we need you. After a very touching moment of staring at my captor within the shadows, herman finally replied, wrong!!!!!.
You coc*y bastard, don't get full of yourself, shouted Enoch we might need you from time to time does not mean we need your presence at all and besides if we ever get tired of you we can sell you off for a very good price.
Now after recomposing himself the self-proclaimed elf Enoch went on to say, well that's one way to deal with this situation but am afraid a lot of lives are going to be rely on said Enoch smiling to Cruz as if signalling to go with their second option. Cruz finally spoke after a moment of silence how about we make you a deal.
