(MC's POV)
After getting back home, All Might was incharge of making dinner today so I went straight to my workshop and continue soldering the copper wires in the miniature Arc Reactor.
Blowing the smoke away then looking around the core,
"Okay, that should be it... Let's power it up."
I turned on the power supply.
*Tiktiktiktiktiktiktiktiktiktik*
The arc reactor lit up while making ticking noises.
Watching it become stable, the noise disappeared.
"So... It's really possible to make this here. Why didn't anyone thought of making this? With their advance technology, this should be a piece of cake for them."
Seeing the poster of All Might that I placed on the wall,
"Don't tell me..."
The reason I'm making this kind of thing is because I looked up to some superheroes like the iron man of avengers, spiderman, batman and others. I like Star Wars too.
Remembering that this is a world of superheroes and people rely to much on their quirk, the only role model they have here was the no. 1 Hero, All Might.
"Having a muscle head for number one hero is really contagious but that also applies to me though. As Captain Falcon, I don't need these gadgets because I already have these quirks to become a hero. Being a fan of someone, they tend to copy those who they look up to forgetting that they have legs just like a friend of mine."
Glancing back to my working miniature Arc Reactor,
"Most people here are born with quirks and they rely too much to their abilities. They came forget what a hero really means and that anyone can be a hero. They took Hero role like some job to earn money or fame. This will cause the fall of society in the future--"
"Ichika! The dinner is ready!"
"Wah?!!"
I was surprised when All Might suddenly appeared in his muscle form behind me while I'm thinking deeply.
"Dad! Since when you've been there?!" I yelled in anger.
"Ever since you called me the number one muscle head hero."
"Ugh... You were listening."
"You're mumbling loudly that I heard all of it."
"But I said same thing to myself. When I'm still Captain Falcon, I used violence to those villains who stand on my way."
"Well, we are alike after all. No wonder we became father and son, my friend. Hahaha!"
"It's annoying but I don't have any choice. It's better than being care of others. I'm under watchful eyes of the hero association after all. That's why, I'm already thankful enough that you're the one who adopted me. If not, in annoyance of this hero association who won't let me live peacefully, I'll already become one of those infamous villains just like my real father then I make this society bend to my will."
"...That sounds frightening."
"Yeah, but that's very unlikely to happen now since I'm in your care. I can have my peaceful life back while not being bugged by hero association. You just have to report to them that I'm acting like an ordinary child here and in school while doing whatever I want."
All Might looks at me with serious expression.
"Falcon! Heroes or Villains? Which side really are you?"
I just smiled at him,
"Heroes and Villains....huh? The two are more alike than you realize, All Might."
"...Why do you mean?"
Standing up then facing the glass window,
"In childhood we all love heroes but now... as an adult we understand villains."
Then I turned towards All Might,
"You'll realize... Just like heroes... People are not born villains, they are created by the people around them. Some of them are broken that caused by others. There's no person on this world who just woke up in the morning then he already decided to destroy everything."
All Might looked down as he trembled and yelled,
"Then what about All for One? Are you telling me that there's a reason he became a villain?!"
"Oh, you mean my real father? He is just some crazy old man who was drunk in power and lost his compassion. We might not know the reason behind why he turned evil but he's someone we must purge from this world. Many people are suffering because of him.
"...."
All Might became silent and I walked and passed him.
"Regardless, Dad just made a curry tonight, right? I can smell it from your shirt. I want mine to be a little bit spicy."
"Yeah, I bought a medium hot."
*Ding!*
There was a mail sent to my laptop.
"This must be it."
I immediately went and opened the mail.
All Might went to my side and see what's on my screen.
"Those are..."
"Yeah, it from the old man barkeeper. He finally gathered all the information I needed about Hagakure Toru and her family."
"Ichika, isn't this made you look like some kind of stalker?"
"No way, I'm doing this to foil All for One's future plans! It's for the greater good of humanity! I'm saving Japan from destruction."
"You're saying something heroic but this isn't right for me."
"Good grief, we're already on point of no return. I already spent a lot of money for this information."
All Might was completely shock
"What?! Where are you getting your money? I thought they already confiscated all of your money and close your bank accounts?"
"They are just telling me that but do you think I'll just give it to them for free? Those money came from my blood and sweat. I came prepared if something like that happened. If they try to access the bank account of the orphanage, the people will get angry at them but that was just small portion because I only left some of money there as an allowance for the children. The truth is... all my money is not in my possession. That is why, they got nothing from me. I'm telling you this because I trust you."
"Then where are you hiding them?"
I shrugged my shoulders.
"I don't know."
"Huh?"
"I said it's not in my possession. Do you think a child like me can hold that large sums of money? I need a help from an adult."
"You mean..."
"I left it all to the old man since he's the one who's taking care of my transactions anyway. I'm planning to invest all of my money to the new technology industry I'm going to make and I'll call it, Yagi Industries."
...
All Might was speechless.
"What? Aren't you proud of your son?"
"In such a short time... You already come up with a lot of things... Just how much more advanced you have to think... You're too genius that it's frightening ."
He just had a headache.
"I am Captain Falcon after all."
Looking at mail and reading the content in my laptop,
"Hagakure Toru... 9 years old... Lives in Tokyo... Her favorite food is Caramel... She likes to watch shows with hidden-camera surprise pranks... Her three sizes--Wait! Why did the old man included it here?! I never ask about this kinds of information--What?! She's already this big at her age? There are some private information about her here and I don't want to read it."
I decided to skip that page.
"Ichika, what are you reading? You should stop that!" All Might scolded me.
As I read the information in the next pages,
"Her father's salary is above average and her mother is the same... Hmmm..."
I didn't find any involvement even from her grandparents and ancestors. All of them just live a simple life without standing out too much. Their quirk are inherited down to their childrens and just passed to the next generation. I can't find any reason for them to be involved with All for One.
This clears her from my suspicion as a traitor. My friend in the past lied to me or he just got misinformed.
On the last page was about All for One. There was a rumor in the past that someone can giveaway quirks freely. This should be the real worth of money I spent for this information.
There was even a list of people who went missing after that rumor spreads and most of them are from wealthy families. This kinds of humor only spread among the upper class or these poor pro heroes can get a sniff out of him. These missing people were never even mentioned in any news or television.
(I found some useful information. For now, I'm rest assured that All for One is not currently watching me closely.)
Closing my laptop,
"How was it? Is she innocent?"
"Yeah, I'm 100% sure now, she's innocent."
"You went that far just to prove it!"
"It's better to be sure."
I stood up from my seat.
"Let's eat, Dad. You're curry must be already cold."
"Oh, I forgot about that."
My suspicion of Toru ends here and I decided to become her real friend.
