Chapter 57: War (part 7)

Riley watches from the roof of the hotel as the clan bustles around about its business and duties. As he watches the others he loads magazines with freedom pills for his horde buster, a treat he had thought would never be his again. As he works Riley arranges his thoughts on what to do for the future. It occurs to Riley that he should return to Camelot to get them in order and begin setting up trade with The fort. "Still so much shit to do i need another fucking vacation." Riley grumbles. "Well a armed and supplied vacation, maybe do some fishing." Riley chuckles as the image of zombie fish on a line circle his mind. "What's so funny?" Rat asks approaching Riley. "I was imagining fishing and pictured a zombie fish on the line. I found it quite funny." Riley explains. "That kinda sucks when I think about the fact you might be right dude, I was hoping some meat was safe." Rat complaints. "Death to the fauna no animal is safe a good pet is a headless pet." Riley says in an almost rant-like fashion. "What is our plan for today boss man?" Rat asks before the rant can continue. "I am going to head to Camelot to see how things are going there and to try and set up trade they have a blacksmith as well so im pretty fucking sure i could utilize him what about you? What are your plans for the day?" Riley asks. Rat scratches his head for a moment. "Kinda why I asked the plan for today Ri." Rat says tiredly. "Well you did shit when everybody thought i was dead just continue business as usual." Riley says staring at the boy closely. "We never thought you were dead Ri." Rat says sternly. Riley waves his hand dismissively. "Could you have some people find me a large supply of fertilizer?" Riley says finishing his bullet loading and begins moving the loaded magazines into his returned backpack. "We have some fertilizer we use for the gardens should keep us going." Rat says curiously. "I need a lot of this fertilizer with strong p.h. levels Rat also i need it taken to Alex to have it broken down and diffused we are looking for fertilizer that will give us piss yellow crystals." Riley explains. "And why are we doing that?" Rat asks. "Bullets actually do have an expiration date but i know how to make smokeless powder so we can keep our bullets going when the rest of the world has to return to primitive warfare." Riley says with a evil grin. "Oh that is cool yeah ill get somebody on that is there anything else we should be on the lookout for?" Rat asks. Riley stands stretching briefly before shouldering his backpack. "Lots of guns and food the usual things as well as tools and because we have so many members we will need more vehicles as well as people who are well versed in mechanics which we will be instructing others in, and of course we are going to need to expand our territory begin building another wall further out to capture our territory more and try to get control of a power plant to maintain power to the city." Riley says listing off his thoughts. "Huh i was thinking about making a repair crew but never got around to it so nows better than never." Rat says nodding. "I was thinking we should set up check points for our hunters and scavengers for loot drops and supplies between us and Camelot." Tank says behind the boys. "Fucking a you sure your stupid Tank?" Riley asks jokingly "that is a very good idea and we should set up a few so we can reach out farther in our looting and hunting." Riley adds. Rat nods to himself as he sets off to begin his work. Riley checks to make sure his handguns have reasonably sufficient bullets before he looks up at a nervous Tank. "whats crawling in your rectum bud?" Riley jokes. "Are you leaving again?" Tank asks worriedly. "Yes." Riley says moving to the roof door. "Are you coming?" Riley asks over his shoulder. "What?" Tank asks surprised. "Are you coming with me? Come on man you were doing so good there don't fuck it up by being dumb now." Riley groans. "I thought you wanted to be alone." Tank admits rushing to catch up with Riley. "No one wants to be alone Tank." Riley says as the duo descend the stairs.
