Chapter 106: David and Goliath(2)(corrected)

Goliath began to walk menacingly toward him and although it was not fast, with each step it took, the space it traveled balanced its speed.

Once it was close enough, it tried again to step on Mark, who jumped dodging and hanging on one of the wall ledges but could not stay long as the monster's fist was heading toward him.

When the fist was close enough, he used the wall for support to jump higher and land on the monster's arm.

Now that he was up, Mark was headed for the face to blind it, but his run down the arm was about to be stopped by the monster's other hand, which tried to shoo him away as if he were a gnat.

With little room for evasion, Mark headed for the arm edge, where he jumped but did not fall to the ground. Before he fell, he had pierced his blade as far as he could into the monster's arm, while with his other hand he held on tightly to the skin, avoiding the monster's palm, which made him flutter like a kite because of its strength, but he still managed to remain steady.

Seeing how the monster was trying to shuck the arm he was in, Mark did not have time to pull his sword away, so he got up quickly and continued running again while creating three magic circles for 'electric javelin,' which he charged as much as he could while adding more rotation to make it easier to pierce.

He arrived at the monster's shoulder where it was easiest to aim for the eyes but had to immediately duck when he saw Falna build up in the boss's mouth, from which came a cannonball made of air flew over Mark and crashed toward the walls of the room, where it created a small crater.

Losing the possibility to aim at its eyes and with the fact that he could no longer hold back his magic, the three rotating electric spears were fired directly into contact with the shoulder he was in, doing extensive damage.

'ROOOOOARR!'

The three holes, which reached almost to the shoulder bone, sent Goliath into a frenzied state, causing Mark to fall.

As soon as he fell to the ground, Mark immediately had to retreat if he did not want to end up in the chaos the monster was generating by dint of stomping the ground, causing the whole area to shake and making it difficult to stay balanced, and because of all that movement, the sword also fell and he immediately went to retrieve it.

With its injured left shoulder, the arm movement would be slowed down, so Mark headed in that direction once the monster stopped moving chaotically.

'Inhale'

Noticing how the monster was building up the air in its mouth, he realized it was about to shoot something similar to before, so he fired an electric dart in that direction.

'Booom'

When the jet of air and thunderbolt collided, they canceled each other out, but Goliath kept firing them one after the other, but they were still being handled by Mark, who approached the left side of the monster, which was the weakened one.

'rumble'

Perhaps realizing that its attacks were doing nothing, the boss who saw Mark had come too close tried to kick him, but Mark did not hesitate to keep moving forward.

When its foot was about to collide with him, he jumped, but even though he was in the air, he still remained within the range of the kick. By now the blow was about to hit him, when two magic circles formed under his feet, from which came two electric spheres that immediately exploded and sent him toward the ceiling.

While he was in the air he changed his position, so once he reached the ceiling, he used his legs to give himself a downward thrust and by increasing the weight of the sword with the Falna, the descent was even faster and because of the kinetic force, he managed to make a long cut that reached the base of its neck.

'sizzles'

'GRAAA!

Since the sword was well stuck, he ran as much electricity as he could, which seemed to have a good effect on the way the monster was twitching.

'swing' 'swings'

Trying to drop the cause of pain, Goliath turned its body sharply, but Mark refused to ease his grip and increased the electricity output even more.

Sizzling noise and the smell of burnt flesh could be heard from the monster's neck, which grew blacker and blacker, being burned by the electricity. Unfortunately for Mark, he had to stop when Goliath tried to catch him.

Falling, he tried to use the opportunity to hit at least one of the monster's tendons and succeeded in making a good cut, but not being close enough the cut failed to cause any damage to its stability, in fact, Goliath was still standing menacingly.

'crack!'

As before, as soon as he touched the ground, he backed away, but unlike the attacks before, Goliath thrust its hand into the ground, picking up a huge amount of rock, which it threw mercilessly in Mark's direction.

In Mark's eyes, an endless rain made of sharp stones flew toward him, preventing any way of escape.

All his concentration went into his eyes, which narrowed like needles as he saw the various incoming stones. When one stone was about to hit his face he deflected it with his sword, the next stone with his scabbard, and the next again with his sword. He moved his arms as fast as he could, deflecting the stones that were about to hit him, while the larger ones destroyed them with magic, but even so, it was impossible to block everything, and some smaller stones, managed to cut some exposed areas by slowly dripping blood

'fush!

Unable to distract himself from the attack of the stones, he heard too late the sound of the wind being cut, and as if a car had come at him, he was sent crashing against the wall.

Rising with difficulty from the rubble, he wiped the trickle of blood from his mouth. The blow went through his entire body reaching his internal organs, fortunately, the armor had absorbed most of the power, otherwise, he would have suffered a serious injury. But even so, in his lifeless eyes, only the boss was reflected while his mind worked only to find a method to win.

He quickly drank a potion and when he saw it gathering more stones, he climbed the wall dodging the stones and countered the incoming blast of air with magic.

At that point, Mark realized if this continued, they would stall, so he created a magic circle from which an electric snake came out. 'Snake shock' was an useful magic because of its mobility and the damage it did, but its consumption varied depending on distances. Since it was a magic connected directly to Mark, it had to continuously provide Falna throughout its duration, so he was careful about when to use it, but he had to gain an advantage.

The electric snake, snaked through the air, heading toward Goliath, who tried to shoo it away, but Mark was carefully controlling it so that it did not happen, and like a well-placed arrow, it went into the monster's eye and then exploded.

'GRAAAAAOOAR!

The monster held its face in pain, while Mark did not hesitate to run to its blind spot, even though his breathing was heavy because of the magic he had just used.

Once he recovered, Goliath began to look for Mark fiercely, who had disappeared. Having lost both its left eye and the fact that its neck wound prevented it from turning, it could only turn in on itself when Mark appeared in front of its face.

To spare Falna, Mark got as close as he could to the monster's leg and began to jump from side to side until he reached the Boss's face, which began to generate air in its mouth, but he did not allow it to do so.

Six magic circles formed in front of Mark, from which six concentrated electric orbs flew into the monster's face.

'BOOOOM!'

'CRACK!'

The explosion generated a blue light that illuminated the combat zone, and what followed was the sound of something heavy falling to the ground.

As the dust cleared, something unbelievable came to the eyes of Tiona and Riveria, who had sweated each time when the boss's blows came too close to Mark.

For the first time since the battle had begun, the Goliath was sent to the ground as Mark stood over its chest indifferent to everything.
