Chapter 3: CHAPTER 3 FULL MOON
Max looked back and saw that the figure of man wasn't human at all it was a wolf in human clothing. He ran as fast as he could out of the woods,into the garden then entered through his window and shut the window, breathing heavily.
'What have I gotten myself into?,he winced in pain looking at his flesh battered and clawed. He went to the bathroom and washed the wound and he didn't feel much pain after that.
'Just what was that?,he thought and he's not feeling much pain after the bite. He used painkillers and tried to sleep but he couldn't sleep,he couldn't get the scene out of his head. He was shivering with cold. Yet he was sweating.
The next morning,he woke up very early and went out.
'Hey,deepshit...what about saying good morning!,his dad yelled out at him as he was going.
He went straight to Sam's house,entering he showed Sam his wound.
'Ohh that's nasty,he brawled. Are you in pain?
'Not too much,he replied hastily
'So,what in the hell bite,when did you start raising a dog?
'No..it wasn't a dog's,he retorted.
'Then what the fuck was it? Wolf or Fox,Sam grinned.
'Yes,Max said nodding.
'Wait, what? Are you serious? There are no wolves in CHARLESTON since like 50years
'i saw a wolf bite me! Max groaned.
'Hey,sorry.....I know you are sure but it's just hard to chew. Well, I'll help you buy some antibiotics that you can use. And we need to get to a doctor as soon as possible',Sam said.
'Which doctor would believe me? They would think am a freak asshole liar! Max gritted his teeth.
'Since when did you get this temper, Max',Sam wondered. 'We'll do something about it okay' he reassured Max patting him.
********
'Dad is insisting we don't go into the woods alone or without a weapon'
'He's kidding right',Gina retorted.
Luke scoffs,'He may be right,who knows whats lurking behind those woods'.
'Okay bro,I won't go alone,Gina smacked.
'Sure you won't', Luke rolled his eyes. He knew his sister to be naturally stubborn, she should have been a male counterpart while he should have been the female counterpart. He walked away to join his group of guys while he left his sister to do her thing.
'So,have you talked to him,one of her friends said.
'No,he should come to me,am not meant to chase after guys,Gina said.
'You should be gentler these days Gina,you may have to shoot your shot on a guy',Another friend of hers commented.
'Am not sure I will see that guy that can make me run after him'
****Next day******
Grey looked at the marks closely and saw a claw-like shape take place. Sighing,he took his gun down and held his forehead. He hated when he's right. 'They are here's,he said... He further took his gun and looked around the shed. He went through a narrow path and saw blood trails again he dipped his knife into the blood and examined it closely. 'This just happened recently,did something else came here?,he asked inwardly. Looking around,'I would have to come back tonight,it's full moon,have got to see what will happen',he said and went back.
*****At school****
Sam was seen running and panting. He rushed into class and took Max by the arm into the male toilet.
'Hey what's wrong,did something happened to you?,Max asked.
'I should be asking you that. Are you okay?,do you feel well?
'Since when don't I feel well?,Max frowned.
'Listen,I made a further research on what bite you and it was no wolf bro',Sam panicked.
'Then what?,Max asked uninterested.
'Its called a WEREWOLF and it's a lycanthrope. But I don't see why a wolf would bite rather than tear you'
'So,you wished it should just tore me to pieces!,Max snapped.
'No,I meant it has never happened before,Max. And I don't know what it might do to you',Sam sighed.
'I feel fine,Okay. It's just a bite. And I don't feel the pain anymore',Max said
'Okay just let me see the wound,Sam pleaded.
'You don't need to.....Fine! Max removed his shirt and both looked at each other
'Its healed....Sam's voice trailed off.
'Yeah.....Max shook..
'I believe you are in big trouble', Sam said terrified.
'Yeah,I know' Max said sadly.
'Full moon is tonight. If anything happens to you,then you may have graduated from being human to being a werewolf,you are cursed.
'What do you mean?,Max asked frowning. 'That am a monster now',he was now angry
'No,not that. Listen,I have an idea',Sam whispered
'What is it?,Max asked.
'Let me chain you up just tonight at my place,My mum isn't home tonight'
'Am I a dog or something, why'd you call that an idea!?
'We have to be cautious,Max. You need to call your Dad that you won't be coming home tonight.
'Oh God...This is just bullshit!
******
'So,he called that he's not coming home tonight?
'Yes, he did. He's no more a kid's, Aldor replied.
'What if something happens to him?,how can we help him?,he asked worriedly.
'Its okay. Max gonna be fine. Aldor knew Wade really loved his brother and is worried for him too. 'You can eat something,Okay'
Nodding,Wade grabbed a cheese and munched it.
**** Night****
'This is a bad idea!,Max gritted his teeth
'Dont worry,I hope am wrong.
'Then if you are wrong,I will skin you alive!
'Its better am right then....I don't wonna die by getting skinned, Sam chuckled.
'Fuck you,Sam!
****After some time,the full moon was appearing***
'This was a total waste of time! Luke said.
'Something is gonna happen tonight believe me son. Full moon is approaching,they will be at their peak now and won't be able to control their shape', Grey explained
'Why didnt you take Gina along?
'I want you to learn everything you can from me. Anything can happen to me anytime',Grey said looking far into the moon. Suddenly,Luke saw someone running towards them far away.
'Dad look at that! He shouted.
'Lets go! Both ran and pursued the guy running and Luke shot him an arrow and it hit his arm. The guy screamed in pain and he fell down. He has blue eyes and has claws in his hand,hair was on his face and his canines were very long with pointy ears.
'Your eyes are not something have seen before but I know what you are,Wolf! Your kind are the cause of my wife's death! Grey shouted and drew his sword,he ran forward to attack the guy on ground but he was kicked by another guy and he was swept away with such a strong force.
He landed and his upper lip was cut. He cursed and stood up. Luke aimed at the guy and shot but the guy dodged the arrow. He walked up to the guy on ground and sniffed him then carried him and whooshed away.
'What was that again!?,are you okay dad?,Luke rushed to him.
'Am fine',Grey grunted. 'This just keeps getting better and better' he said.
