Chapter 197: The Final Meeting
Ryuu took Itachi out of the Uchiha compounds and they stayed above the river just outside the compounds.
"You need me?"
"There's going to be another meeting tonight, and in 10 days the clan will make its move, will you be attending?"
"Should I?"
"Do what you see fit, that's why I told you the plan after all."
"I still think the clan can be stopped, I have to try again tonight, I'll try to reason with them, help me, big brother, they'll listen to you." Ryuu frowned.
'Itachi wants no part in this, I'm sorry but I can't do anything now.' He ponders,
"Itachi, we have a plan, Uncle agreed to it, let's just stick to the plan. I understand you don't want to go through with this, but we have to. I'm sorry."
Itachi's eyes drifted away so Ryuu ended the conversation,
"I hope you'll be there tonight, you stopped coming for meetings recently, but these meetings help create a cover for yourself, plus they also help when you want to see who genuinely wants to fight, you know?"
Itachi nodded.
"Alright."
Ryuu left, waved, and swirled into Kamui before appearing at his doorstep again,
"You're back!" Naruto jumped on Ryuu with a smile.
"Hey, what's the hug for? Did you break something again?"
"What?! No way, big brother! I just missed my big brother, you know?"
Ryuu narrowed his eyes and stared at Naruto.
'Naruto has a wide smile and his eyes are closed. He's trying to appear innocent, but whenever he makes this face, I just know something is wrong…'
"Alright, spill it.
What did you do this time? Just know, whatever you broke, the repair cost will come out of Gama-chan."
"Naruto!" Ichika yelled from upstairs.
"I'm going to kill you!" Ryuu gulped.
"Quick, big brother, protect me!" Naruto jumped on Ryuu's back and hid.
Ichika stomped towards Ryuu and Naruto, each footstep crushing the floor with her immense chakra.
"Hey, what's going on here?"
Ichika slowly turned her head as she explained,
"Naruto replaced the shower gel with some kind of sauce!"
Ryuu facepalmed.
'What an idiot…'
Ryuu pulls him from the back and begins questioning him,
"Naruto…
What did we say about the pranks at home?"
"I thought it would be funny if you were to go in there, I never expected Ichika there too, I swear!"
Sigh…
Ryuu sighed out of frustration.
"Ichika let's talk about this calmly, alright?"
"Oh, so you're siding with him now?!"
Ryuu immediately started sweating, overwhelmed by her anger.
"No, of course not, it's just that-"
"I don't care what excuse you have! Either move aside and let me punish him or you'll be punished with him!"
Ryuu drops his head depressingly.
"Ichika, it was just a joke, let me talk to him first, and then we can come up with a peaceful solution, you know?" He mutters,
Ichika frowned, her eyes were twitching, and she had a massive tick on her forehead, the last thing she was thinking about was a peaceful solution.
"Peaceful solution? I can do that… sure."
She said with a calm voice, hiding her anger in her massive grin.
Ryuu gulped.
An hour after being scolded, Ryuu and Naruto were outside with two pillows and blankets, their heads swollen from the beating.
"Great, now what should we do?" Naruto asked.
"We're lucky she was in a good mood tonight, otherwise she would've done more damage than a punch to the head, you know."
The door opened.
"Oh, Ryuu, if I hear you using wood release to make another house and room, you'll sleep in that room for the rest of the year.
Love you."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"Hey wait a minute, Ichika!"
Boom!
She slammed the door.
"How uncivilized," Ryuu commented as he held his chin.
He started walking out of the compound while Naruto looked at him.
"Hey, where are you going?!"
"Come on, Naruto, are you coming?"
Naruto happily ran towards Ryuu.
They walked out of Ryuu's compound and walked down the silent hill. Everyone was asleep by now.
"Where are we going right now, big brother?"
"To Kakashi's House, he should have an extra room we can share." Naruto nodded.
Ryuu took Naruto to Kakashi's house, he lived in a smaller house with Mina.
Knock knock!
"Yawn…" Kakashi yawned as he lazily opened the door.
"Just great, what are you doing here?"
"Aren't you happy to see me?
Naruto messed up and now we need a place to stay." Ryuu said with a shy smile.
Kakashi lazily wiped his face and waved for them to enter,
"Come in, I have a room for you."
"Thanks, Kakashi," Ryuu said as he entered with Naruto.
'This is perfect timing, I've been meaning to talk to Kakashi for a while but unfortunately, we've both been too busy.' He remembers.
While Naruto was setting his and Ryuu's bed up, Ryuu sat in the living room with Kakashi and Mina.
"So? What happened?" Kakashi asked.
"Well, it's kind of a funny story…
Naruto wanted to prank me and so he poured some kind of sauce into the shower gel, only to find out that it wasn't my gel and it was Ichika's."
Ryuu scratched his head nervously as he told that story.
Mina's eyes widened in shock,
"That's not funny at all, I see why Ichika did what she did, but I don't get how that involved you."
"Well, I tried to make a peaceful solution between them, but… Ichika saw it as me choosing to be on Naruto's side instead of hers."
"I see…
Well, you can stay here for the night." Kakashi said.
"Kakashi, do you want to grab a cold one with me?"
"I have a mission tomorrow."
"C'mon Kakashi, we'll be back soon, plus that'll give us a chance to talk, you know?"
"I think that's a great idea, Kakashi could use a break while I take care of Naruto," Mina suggested as she pushed Kakashi towards the door,
Sigh…
"Alright," Kakashi said with a tired look.
'Just when I thought I could escape him…'
Ryuu and Kakashi opened the door and were about to leave before Naruto ran into them at the door,
"Wait, where are you going?"
"We'll be back, we're just going to get a drink."
"Can I come?"
"You kidding? No way! Kids aren't allowed to drink the stuff we're going to drink."
"Man, that's so unfair." Naruto folded his arms and closed his eyes.
Ryuu smiled.
He kneeled near Naruto and whispered something in his ear. Naruto's eyes excitedly widened as he heard what he said,
"Is that a deal?"
"Alright!" He yelled, nearly shattering Ryuu's ears.
Ryuu got up,
"Later!" Ryuu waved them off and left with Kakashi.
They walked around the silent forest above the Hokage stone faces,
"So what is it you wanted to talk about that you even lied about grabbing a drink?"
"Have you talked to Obito recently?"
"Obito? Yeah, we were on a mission yesterday."
"Jeez, the old team 7 without me, huh?"
Kakashi scratched his head with a smile as he replied,
"Come on, you know it's not like that."
"Heh, whatever, listen.
Kakashi, what I'm going to tell you is top-secret information on a top-secret mission I've been planning for quite some time."
Ryuu stopped walking when they were far enough into the woods.
"First, I'll start by saying Shisui Uchiha isn't dead."
Kakashi widened his eyes.
"What do you mean Shisui isn't dead?" Ryuu nodded,
"I faked his death to stop their momentum."
"Whose momentum?"
"The clan's momentum.
The Uchiha clan is planning a coup d'état.
Years of mistreatment and distrust are coming to an end.
Even more was how Danzo made one of us attack the Hokage, making us look even worse.
Obito, Itachi, Shisui, and I are planning to stop them."
"To stop the entire clan? Even Obito is in on this?" Kakashi's eyes widened,
"However, the way I'm going to stop the clan will be ruthless, but for the long run, I'll be doing them a favor.
The ends justify the means this time.
I'm telling you this because I need your help afterward."
"My help? What can I do?"
"Kakashi… we're going to…" Ryuu's eyes shone a crimson color and an intense aura surrounded him.
"We're going to kill Danzo Shimura and the village elders!"
Feeling a powerful aura, Kakashi stared at Ryuu.
'That look in his eyes… he's dead serious…'
Kakashi nodded,
"Alright, I'm in. I'll help however I can."
"Good, just remember, don't be mad at Obito and the others for not telling you.
I asked them that because I wanted to tell you when the time was right, and the time is now." Kakashi nodded.
"Alright, you head back and I'll go to the Uchiha compound.
I'll come back later."
Fwoosh!
Ryuu teleported to the Uchiha compounds and followed Fugaku.
They met at Naka shrine again, all the Uchiha were there, and Obito sat next to Ryuu.
'He's not here yet… damn it! I'm trying to protect you, Itachi…'
"We shall begin." Everyone looks at Fugaku as he speaks,
"I'll start by giving the date for the coup d'état.
In ten days, we'll attack the village."
Fugaku looked at the crowd and they were all satisfied with this date, so he continued,
"I've given you all roles for what you'll do, but I'll ask one more time.
How many of you will go through with this plan?
Remember, I'll only call upon those who volunteer, no one is forcing you to fight. In fact, for those who won't fight, you'll be in Naka shrine, where it'll be safe."
The majority of them put their hands up, most of the ones who didn't raise their hands were the elderly, women, and some younger men.
"Forget volunteering, don't back down now that we're this close! Don't forget, we have Ryuu-sama with us!" Yashiro shouted to encourage the others.
"Yashiro, sit down." Ryuu coldly said as he stood up.
Yashiro didn't back down, and he stayed standing to defy Ryuu.
"It's true, I will fight for the clan, but I won't force anyone else to fight with me or for me, this coup isn't to slay everyone in the village, it's only to give them a message, if you don't want to do that, then that's alright with me.
With that being said, how many of you don't want to fight? We'll only take those who are sure they want to fight, nothing less, even the smallest hint of doubt can cause a great deal in such a fight."
The hands of the many people who wanted to fight started decreasing.
More people were unmotivated by Ryuu's words.
'Just as I thought.'
"What are you doing?!" Yashiro asked, furiously glaring at Ryuu,
Ryuu turned his gaze to him and answered,
"Yashiro, if we take most of the clan and there are few who don't want to fight, we're sending them to their deaths.
I won't allow even one of my clan members to die, will you?"
Yashiro looked around at the other clan members and quickly calmed down,
"Of- of course, I won't, even so, we need numbers, the village is too strong, and I know that."
"The Uchiha clan is stronger, we have the wicked eye Fugaku, Obito Uchiha the Unkillable, myself, and now, even Itachi Uchiha Of The Blood Moon Eye."
"Itachi? Itachi is-"
"Here, Itachi is here." Ryuu pointed at the entrance, where Itachi stood.
He walked in and sat down next to Obito and Ryuu.
