Chapter 6: Chapter 5
I reached my HQ. It was 100 story tall skyscraper with a .50 cal bulletproof glass exterior, remote-controlled titanium alloy shutters that could be activated at anytime from any of the executives offices. It featured 500 bathrooms. A private desk for every worker, which they could bring valuables from home to make themselves feel comfortable, and set them on. 1 office on every floor. The last 10 floors were just really large offices where each Duke had their own private workers/grunts that worked while they handled their whole branch of work by themselves. A lounge in an underground floor for only the Dukes, and their grunts to enjoy. Of course I could go in there too because I was the King. There was the bounty room where bounty hunters and mercenaries could call in and accept jobs. Then we smuggled drugs out of there on an underground railroad. No literally. I had a railroad built under my tall ass skyscraper (which I earned with my own money and I'll get to that in a second) that went across the whole city to every single warehouse/dock/hood/project/etc. Every single drug lord in New York ran through me. Every single mercenary or bounty hunter ran through me. Every single scammer had to pay me 10% of their profits in the year. Every single thief had to pay me 10% of their profits in the year. Every single criminal in the east of the U.S.A. ran through me, and had to pay me a 10% cut of their profits. I had made 300 billion dollars in the last 7 years off of running the underground crime network.
I started off with 1 million dollars I had gotten for my 10th birthday. And while all the chaos was going on with the Avengers, and Baxter, and Oscorp crumbling because of them creating the most monsters, I was building my HQ under a fake I.D. and taking over the worlds economy slowly. I ruled the medical industry, gaming industry, movie industry, comic industry, streaming industry, social media industry, phone industry, etc. I even found a clean renewable source of energy that was still being tested but was likely to be cleared by the U.S.A.'s government for safe use. All I did was make a stronger version of the arc reactor, and an energy teleporter that sent the batteries to places so that it didn't have to be moved. I made batteries that were so complex that it took me 2 years to make them. They could hold Mtoe 13,972 each. Which is a fuck ton of energy. The reason it took me 2 years to make them is because I didn't have a material that could hold that much energy at first. So I just made the machine bigger so it could spread the energy around more, and the whole thing was a 30 meter tall 5 meter thick layer of silver covered by a 4 meter thick layer of copper, and a 6 meter thick layer of titanium. Silver and Copper, because they conduct electricity, and titanium so it couldn't be opened after it was done being made. The reason I did that is because if it opened or exploded it would most likely destroy the U.S.A.
Now on to the big question...."Why the huge ass info dump?" because this is very important and the key reason for what I'm about to tell you.
As soon as I reached the HQ I got a notification on my smartwatch that the Quasi-Fusion Reactor had been cleared for safe use in the U.S.A. and that the government wanted to meet the one who made it. Also that they would pay me 1 trillion dollars for the rights to it, and the schematics. Basically meaning they would make me the richest man on Earth if only I would not make anymore of them, and hand over the way to make them. And obviously...I said no. Why the fuck would I give them the way to rule the world and promise not to make anymore or else I'd be sent to jail and probably executed. And plus I didn't want to meet them. But the point is, me not accepting this deal caused a lot of problems. The government aren't exactly nice people to be around when you're a criminal like me. Especially since I was the biggest criminal in the world. And no one had seen my face yet. Why? Because I made sure anyone who did only saw a fake face.
"Ahh....fresh air. It's nice to have that mask off my face."
That's right. I have a skin tight, breathable, synthetic mask on my face whenever I go out in public. Only people who have seen my real face are my siblings, and my right hand man. An original character who didn't exist in the comics. Pierce Jackson. I made him my right hand man so that I could keep an eye on him, and because I trusted him more than anyone outside of my family in the world. I trusted him more than I trusted my Dukes. I had read his memories when I first met him, and he wasn't reincarnated. This meant this world was an AU. But we'd known each other since kindergarten so he was kind of like a brother to me. Hopefully he wouldn't backstab me, because I stopped reading his mind as a sign of friendship.
Pierce was probably one of the smartest people I know. I mean he kept up with me all the way until I started studying college courses. Meaning his IQ is around the 150's like mine was when it was limited. He couldn't keep up with me after I started making arc reactors and all types of other shit like serums to make your limbs regrow, NZT that didn't have side effects but didn't give as much of an effect, etc. But he also had freakish physical capabilities because of a enhanced super soldier serum I made and gave to him. He could lift 5 tons, and run at 100 miles a hour, and was as flexible as any Spider-Man. I focused on his speed more because I wanted someone who could move swiftly and nimbly.'
Speaking of Pierce I saw him as soon as I got up to my office on the 100th floor. I used my secret executive elevator that I kept hidden in a customized phone booth about 1 block away. The booth takes you underground where you then step out onto a moving floor kind of like an escalator that doesn't go up or down but just forward and back. Then you step into an executive elevator that only Pierce, and I know about that leads up to my office. It's the only way there unless you have something stronger than a .50 cal bullet ready to break the glass of my window which is 100 stories up, and very smooth so it's nigh-impossible to climb unless you're Spider-Man.
"Hey, Pierce, what do you have for me today?"

"Nothing that you haven't already heard of I'm sure, but the Quasi-Fusion Reactor was approved in the U.S.A., and will be tested in the other countries of North America soon. It's also being tested in Asia, and Europe. The price will be 200 billion dollars a battery, plus the 10 billion dollar teleportation fee. And the batteries last for 100 years. So we'll be making a trillion dollars just from China, Japan, the U.K., U.S.A., and Canada, but they've all asked to pay in yearly installments of 20 billion. Also the U.S.A. has secretly requested that you don't accept any offers from North Korea, or Russia. The Dukes have all been running over the expectations/quotas we had set before hand. We've made billions in profit this month. The workers who run the railroad are asking for a raise since they are the only ones who haven't gotten a raise. I advise you to give them a raise. We haven't had anyone that has tried to sell us out yet but it could happen anytime soon if you make them angry. Their salary is 200,000 a year so a $100,000 bonus to their monthly pay check to the grunts, and $200,000 bonus to the managers should do. Only a suggestion though, sir. Also we've had some trouble expanding into the west because of some other criminal lords there. We already sent out 2 of the dukes to handle it. We should have conquered all of the U.S.A. by the end of the year, sir. At that time we should think about expanding into Asia. It is the biggest continent in the world. I also think we should start trying to raise the living conditions in India, and Africa too. If we can get the whole worlds economy on almost equal levels then we could definitely become praised by the whole world. We've already bought Disney, Apple, Microsoft, PlayStation, Funimation, Crunchyroll, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and AMP Movie Theaters. We are already moving workers to Asia to take over the anime industry. We are starting on the 'That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime' script you wrote, and 'Naruto'. We are withholding 'Bleach', 'One Piece', and 'Dragon Ball' until Cour 1 for 'That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime' and 'Naruto' are over. After that we will release those 3 and one other anime. The choice is still between 'Overlord', and 'Demon Slayer'. That's all of the noteworthy things that have happened so far today, sir."
"....Pierce I didn't mean everything....*sigh*. Okay well go ahead with everything. We'll sleep on the North Korea thing for now. Wouldn't want a war starting over clean energy. Release 'Overlord' before 'Demon Slayer', and merge Crunchyroll and Funimation into one company named VRV. And please accelerate the making of 'Food Wars'. Also if any anime named 'Highschool DXD' ends up popping up in the world. DESTROY IT IMMEDIATELY! Priority Alpha+. And adjust the raises for the railroad workers to 1 million and 2 million. Also raise every other workers paychecks to an annual salary of 100 million dollars. The dukes can stay at 1 billion dollars a year for now. Are we still within company budget levels?"
"We're in the red zone, but after we release the energy source, and the full dive VR and 'Sword Art Online' we should be back in the yellow zone minimum, green zone most likely. Also with the new supply of fentanyl, and opioids going out we'll definitely be in the green zone even without the energy supply. But, with all due respect, if you want to stay in the green zone more; Maybe we should stop going willy-nilly with the paychecks, sir. And we definitely need to expand into Asia, and Europe. We will need 5 more dukes for that though. Domino, Wade Wilson, Sabretooth, Silver Sable, and Romulus have already been chosen for the roles. Are you sure you don't want to deal with Essex right now?
"Yes I'm sure, and go ahead and send out the invitations to them. If Sabretooth, Wade, and Romulus don't accept I'll go persuade them myself. Okay, now before I get to work, is there anything that I need to handle by myself."
"Sir, there is something. I almost forgot actually. Hydra is trying to resurface. Though their tries have been for not since they are crippled to the extreme. Especially since we control the underworld in the U.S.A. ."
"I see. I'll be dealing with that myself. Keep everything running while I go on the trip to wipe them off the face of the map completely. Where's the location?"
"Los Angeles, sir."
