Chapter : Human vs the King (1)
¶ Alexander pov¶
I sit in the Arena,with one leg placed on the other and a piece of paper in my hands. The duet looking like a child's game with no one attacking.
The boy has come to the age just few days back, and he was acting like a girl scared of getting her extensions broken. 18 years is when all boys become real men and enter this Arena to train ruthlessly.
To become what they say "worth serving the royal blood"
While his opponent was no better than him,a boy of mere 19 who was an Omega in my pack,a mere servant to others, however their resemblance was striking,showing they were related.
"Stop"
I say and their anxious movements stop to look at me in surprise. Their eyes held fear , knowing what happens when I stop a fight in between.They bow their heads almost immediately as I lift my pen and strike off their names from the list in my hand.
"Alpha! I beg! Please-"
I show him my palm and they look at each other. Useless scared mutts who have no use in my packs,just a fuc**** burden.
"You two are brothers?"
I ask and they nod almost immediately. Folding the piece of paper and tucking it in my pants,I sigh and fold my hands to give them my undivided attention.
"Defeat and stay or loose and get lost from my estate. Simple'
They both refused to fight each other to stay back and I was going to move to next when one of the boy broke in tears.
"Please Alpha! My mother is alone here…we can't leave her…you can't let us go rogue! We have no one!"
The crowd around,looked bored of such emotional pleadings and shit. Even I hated them with passion.
"You have each other now,you both are going rogue. I have no place in my pack for cowards like you,leave!"
The guards started dragging their crying bodies and their mother screamed in the crowd to let her children go. I see the scene with disinterest.
I am not a sadist,you may think what I am doing is wrong but you have to be thrown in front of wolves to learn to command them.
Running my hand through my hair,I looked at Ben to see him already staring down at me.
"Where is she?"
I ask checking my watch to see she was already 20 minutes late.Ben's eyes flicker to someone on the field and I look in front.
There she stood in the centre of the Arena blocking the guards path who was dragging the boys,with hands on her hips and a sports bra and track pants on,she screamed confidence and sexiness.
My eyes take in her form,her toned stomach on full display ,her tattoos all raw and visibile,stance confident and eyes?
Rebellious
"Where are you taking them?"
She says and the guard looks up at her,his eyes taking fer form from top to bottom and I clench my fists,there men were seeing what belonged to me,how dare she wear a sports bra to a place where women are not allowed.Not only that,they are afraid to even show there faces to unmated males by hiding behind veils,and here she stares back at me with defiance.
Some men chuckled while others stared at her with lust. I take deep breaths to calm my rising monsters.
"To hell sweetheart,do you wanna join?"
The guard replies mocking the human and laughter resonated through the silent forest.I look up at Ben to see him staring at his feet already,head bowed down.
"Were my instructions not clear,Ben?"
"I am afraid Sir,the girl refused to wear the clothes we offered."
The girl steps closer to the guard, her eyes hardened to slits as she gives him a death glare.I already knew what was going to happen and I cursed in my mind.
Trouble
I was cent percent right when I called her that.
"We don't have to go anywhere for that,I am sure I can give you a trailer of what hell looks like ,here itself"
Deadly silence followed as everyone was astounding to see a mere human challenging one of their kind.
The guard left the boys to approach her,I looked up at Ben and he understood my order without me even saying.
Before the guard could even touch Valerie,Ben ordered in his Beta voice.
"Tobias! Refrain"
And that's when everyone bowed facing me ,while the girl still stands tall looking defiant.
"Miss Ana,you are late "
Everyone started discussing among them, surprised as to this human joining them. Will they train with this human? The idea itself very absurd.
"Well I should say I am on time,or else a child would have been seperated from his mother"
I clenched my fist,she should not interfere.She knows nothing about our world yet she dares to defy my orders.
Her brown eyes are set on me as she hardens her jaw while offering her hand, lifting up the boys who have fallen on the ground.
"Miss Ana,I am afraid the decision has been passed by the Alpha. It can't be altered"
She snickers and I clench my fist. What is the meaning of this? My men are watching this,her audacity to defy me in front of everyone.I wanted to punish her badly,right now.To teach her sone respect ,to tape that filthy mouth which always utters nonsense.
But my hands are tied…I fuc**** couldn't…she is a human after all,it's better she doesn't sees my beasts or she will be traumatized all her life,this spark and sass in her will be dead in her before I am even done with her.
"What decision? This bullsh**! What do you get by ruining a family? Didn't you listen to them that their mother will be alone?Are a sadistic basta-"
"Enough!"
My voice echoes in the forest and she flinches for a second,my angry orbs telling her it was not the right time to mess with me.
Shielding the boys behind her,she straightens her back and tries to act strong,when I can sense her fear from here.
"You seek justice right,human? Fine"
People started whispering but with my show of hand they lower down their voices.
"1 match ,you win and I let the boys stay"
People cheered excited as she looks around unsure,she now realises she is a weak human among us werewolves,good. The earlier she admits this ,the better.
I thought she will back down,but how wrong I was.Straightening her back she stares back at me before replying.
"Bring it on"
This stupid girl! She wants to die or what…I proposed the offer just because I thought she will back down,but what is wrong with her?
Ben looked unsure, waiting for my final command and I nod at him.
Fine,if she wants to learn the hard way,let it be.
"I give you the benefit of choice,you may choose your opponent"
She looks around at the werewolves circled around the Arena,few minutes of silence passed and the spectators were growing impatient now.Her eyes landed on the boys behind her back and they looked sh** scared.
"Miss Ana ,the time is limited"
Ben whispers and she nods, looking back at me.She has decided,I can see it in her eyes.But I don't know why I can't stop myself from looking lower at her toned abs and those perfect shaped legs. The thought of any other male touching her in the fight entered my mind and I clenched my fist to suppress the growl that was going to leave my lips.Maybe this was all a mistake,I shouldn't have agreed to this stupid idea in the first place.
"You"
She answers and I look up to see her staring back at me.A chuckle leaves my lips as I look at her with a raised eyebrow. Was she serious?
She is challenging me in a duet?
The crowd shared looks of disbelief as Ben stares between me and her,confused
Atleast no other man will touch our mate.
My wolf says in my mind and I agree with him.Getting up from my seat,I move towards her.Pulling my shirt over my head,I stare at her to see her eyes already fixed at my pack of abs and she gulps.Handing over the t shirt to Ben I step closer to her.
Let the fight begin.
