Chapter 2: NEW LIFE
'It's pretty uncomfortable here. Although the unusual sensation of floating in the void is no more here But where am I?
Why am I feeling the coldness of wind flowing towards me. So, am I alive?'
I tried to feel my body, But to no avail It was like pushing a mountain with bare hands. But I could feel that slowly the strength of my body was returning. I tried to open my eyes and the dim light in environment sent a streak of joy through my heart.
It was all hazy at the first..... but as time passed the strength of my body returned and eyesight became more clear. I could see the room and it was made of wood. there was little candle beside my bed and it was the only source of light in the room..... the room was pretty small and there was only one door and one window in my room. through the window I could see that there is dark outside so it should be night. The structure of the room reminded me of the houses in 14th century. But if I am alive, I should be in the hospital. So where am I?
gritting my teeth ,I tried to move my body and get my hands in front of my eyes .
I could see clearly that those hands were not mine . It was the hand of a 2 or 3 years old kid. The sudden realization sent a coldness through my spine. What is going on here?
And now when I focus on my body. It was also not my own body and the room... the room was some kind of very familiar to me. And then I recalled something like movie running in my head in fast forward mode. And it was absolutely not very painless . The visions were something that I am not familiar with but very familiar to me. Some unknown people were talking in a unknown language . It was a fully unfamiliar world to me. The sheer pressure of data and visions coming in my head was so high that it had felt like someone crushing my head with hammer. The pain and visions forced me to scream with all I had. And suddenly the candle beside my bed which was the only source of light in the room went out. It was fully dark here and I can feel an intense flow of wind in the room. May be there was a storm going on outside. But in my current state nothing was important. I wanted to scream more and more and wind pressure also increased in my room.
There was commotion going on outside the door. May be some people was coming. the pain and visions had already become too little compared to before.
Although the remaining strength in my body was too little to say something or to move my hands, I could hear and see properly what was going on. A man and a lady could be seen in front of the door holding a candle. they had a grim expression on their faces and one could clearly see the dark circles in their eyes.
their ragged cloths dirty and signs of poverty could be seen properly. They were looking at me with tears of joy in their eyes. The lady quickly came in front of me and took me in her hands. Now when I looked at her. I could totally recognize this unfamiliar face. I could feel a deep sense of belonging to her. She was mother of this body of mine. Beside her, The man who was like a mountain in front of me was crying like baby. He was my father... mean the father f this body. His name was Ralf and the name of my mother was Ela. According to the visions I had seen before, my name was Ren. At that moment, I noticed that the whole room was mess and the things in the room were all being scattered in the floor. The whole situation was so complicated that it was very hard for me to adapt. my brain was running at the speed of a train to understand everything.
The lady was talking in that unknown language that was gibberish to me but when I actually tried to understand the words. I actually could understand them.
"Thank the god that our boy is now better than before....." Ralf said.
"But why is he not saying anything...the temperature is now way less than before. I think the fever is gone now." Ela was said with tense expression But I could see the relief in their eyes.
According to my memories, this body was in a fever for many days. And there was no sign of getting better. The fever got worse and according to everyone the owner of this body may be die in the next few days. This was the most recent memories of this body.
Then Ralf and Ela laid me down on the bed and placed the new candle beside me. The intense pressure of those events already placed a heavy burden on me . So, I kept my eyes close and Unbeknownst to me, I fell asleep.
