As the two of us walked towards the Infirmary, the girl kept on stealing glances at me from time to time.
There was a mixture of delight yet sadness radiating from her pair of eyes occasionally, making me really puzzled as to what exactly was going on within her mind.
Still, I knew when to have some tact at least as even I wouldn't bother someone badly injured with my own stupid questions.
After arriving at the Infirmary, I helped the girl lay down on the bed and went around to ask for the Nurse's whereabouts. As it turned out, she really wasn't there and would only be back in around twenty minutes at the earliest.
Haah... I guess that I won't be attending the first lecture today. Let's hope the attendance issue doesn't becomes a big problem this time again.
Then again... would missing out on just one lecture be a really big deal here? After all, this isn't a school where perfect attendance would be sought after. Gathering merits should be more important than anything else here, as far as I remember.
As of now... I know that I have the choice of leaving this girl on her own here... but, I just don't have the heart to do that. Even if she is a complete stranger to me, I feel like I would lose something important if I really walked away from her right now.
I think I am somewhat proficient in providing first aid... from the time of my school days, tending to my own injuries...
And as such, I began to search around the cabinets to collect the first aid tools.
Okay. These would do. Now, onto actually applying it to her body.
"Hey... um, can I know your name first? I think it would become troublesome if we don't know each other's names at least. I'm Carene, by the way. Nice to meet you."
The girl became very surprised by me speaking to her, as she immediately screamed out as she replied,
"Ah... AHH! M-My name is Nihara. It's... it's nice to meet you too, Lady Carene."
Lady Carene?? What's with that? Is that something of a quirk with her language?
Oh well. Now is not the time to mind these matters. Let's focus on the important stuff first.
"Ahem. So, Nihara... I think it would take the Nurse some time until she gets here. But, I don't think it's okay to leave your wounds in this condition unattended. Can I apply some medicines to them until the Nurse arrives?"
The girl became super happy after hearing me that she quickly shifted herself near me as she spoke to me excitedly,
"Y-Yes! Lady Carene... you can do whatever you want to my body. Please, use it to you desire... I-I won't complain at all."
Hey hey. That sounded really ambiguous there, alright? I'm certainly not going to be doing anything shady to your body in the name of treatment! Even if I accept myself to be a very lustful being... and have joined this College to get myself a few sex friends, that doesn't mean that I would put my claws on anyone that I find.
Even I have some morals left, you know?
Deciding to not mind these matters anymore, I began to apply medicine where ever it was needed.
These... look bad. And some of them look much older too. For how long has she been putting up with such violent behaviors?
Those people... what monster ate their hearts to let such a thing happen right in front of their eyes?!
And, it didn't look like an isolated incident either. Is she being bullied by a lot of people?
But... if that's the case, then why is she not speaking up against it? She didn't have to actively seek it if she was against it, I think. She could have changed colleges too if her circumstances were becoming too much to bear.
Just what is binding her to this state and this place? It's all too strange.
And... It's the first time I realized how weird it feels to be stared at when just applying medicine. Or is it the way that she is looking at me that's making me nervous?
I don't know right now.
Feeling a bit satisfied after doing whatever I could to help, I sat down next to her on the bed. Obviously, I had to stay by her side until the Nurse arrived to give her some professional treatment.
As time went by, some awkwardness began to creep into the silent atmosphere between us, prompting me to start conversing with her again.
"Nihara? Um, what was going on in the Hall back then? Why was he hitting you so badly? You didn't oppose his attacks either."
I expected her to start telling me all about the sufferings that she had to put up with until now, however...
"Lady Carene... y-you are really worried about me? Aaah... how nice it would have been if only you were a man. Then, I could have submitted my body and heart to you completely!"
Hey hey! That wasn't the answer to what I asked, alright! And, you are still thinking about that?
What good would it have been if I was a guy?
Oh... wait a second. Is she into guys only? Is that the reason why she said that?
Well... I can understand that too. Even if I were a female now, I would never be able to accept a man as my partner, ever. I just don't feel the basic attraction towards them at all.
On the contrary... I am immensely lustful toward women. No, wait! This is not the time to think about this!
"I-I am glad that you think of me so highly. But, I was asking you about what happened earlier..."
Nihara looked somewhat confused, as she began to seriously think about my question.
"Um... did something wrong happen there?? Ah! Yes. He refused my request so easily. It didn't use to happen before, but now... they all refuse to do it with me..."
Wait, what?! Why is that an issue? Did she really not feel bad at being beaten up like that?
"That? That guy had beaten you up so badly! Aren't you the least bit angry towards him?"
To my agitated question, Nihara's response came about like a totally strange thing.
"I-Isn't that a normal thing? It's obvious to be beaten up when Masters refuse their Slaves. I cannot go against the Masters."
Hey! That's not something obvious at all! And where did this Slave-Master thing pop up from?
"W-What? Masters?? What do you mean by that? And, how could you be a slave? Slavery is universally banned now, okay! How could you think like that?"
As I tried to plant some senses back into her head, Nihara shook her head heavily, as her bright persona disappeared, giving a shade of despair upon her face.
"N-No. Master's orders are absolute. I can never go against my Master. If I do..."
The girl's body began to tremble badly, as she hugged her own body while her eyes closed shut.
Is she remembering something traumatizing? Just what did those guys do to her to end up in this state?!
Damn it! I was just planning on living a cozy life here, being surrounded by beauty and living my life happily. But, with these kinds of Monsters as my classmates... how am I supposed to be able to interact with them?!
Should I just ignore it all and join their group instead?
Never!! This bunch of demons... they are too unscrupulous already!
And, Celesta had been dealing with such crazy people all by herself until now..?
No. I must stand up against them! If I submit to the circumstances now, by the time that they start affecting Celesta, I would be too powerless to resist!
Those guys... I must do something about them. This situation cannot keep going on like this.
But, I am just a single person, not to mention that I am totally new here right now. There is no way that I would be strong enough to oppose them all right now.
I must explore this place more. Must gather more information. I have to know exactly who are those that are behind such evil acts.
Huuu... that's too hectic of a problem. How am I supposed to enjoy my days as a Futa lady here?
No. Don't give in yet, Carene. I would completely lose my drive to come here if I get saddled with just messy situations.
I must find some time to enjoy myself too! Rather, I must actively go for it now. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
But then there are two problems in front of me right now.
Firstly, how would I make any friends when I am surrounded by these wolves in sheep's clothing?
And secondly and most importantly... how do I deal with Nihara's situation now?
I cannot just leave her to suffer her own fate. And, approaching Celesta right now would be no good. She is already busy dealing with a lot of stuff. I cannot bring even more problems to her.
What if I find more such cases from now on? Troubling Celesta to resolve all of them would be putting the cart before the horse.
Just for my own sense of ideals, I cannot let my loved ones be troubled.
Still... what can I do here?? Right! Information. I lack any information about this matter or about the weird things happening in this College.
Let's try asking Nihara first about everything she knows. Although her mental state looks to be somewhat distorted, I should try speaking in some other manner to make her speak up about those 'Masters' of hers.
As Nihara slowly calmed down from her strange state, she began to gloomily stare at her own feet.
Knowing what my objective now was, I softly spoke to her,
"Hey. It's alright. Your Masters aren't around here. I have already checked and rechecked multiple times. No need to feel scared, alright? Relax."
"A... aah. I-I'm fine n-now. Thank you for worrying, Lady Carene..."
Looks like she is still being affected by those past memories of hers. Or was it some brainwashing attempt? God knows what they have done to this poor girl.
"It's no problem at all. Um, there is something I wanted to ask you, Nihara. Would... you become my friend? I am new here, see? I don't know many people here. Would it be alright for us to be friends?"
I had wanted to form some sort of camaraderie with her so that she is more easily able to share her feelings and troubles with me.
"R-R-Really?!! Y-Y-You want to become friends... with me? ME?? Are you sure? You don't mean someone else, right?"
Hey, hey. Why are you this surprised? I didn't agree to marry you or something, alright?
"Of course not. I would be very happy to become your friend actually."
To my astonishment, Nihara screamed out loud in happiness as she gloatingly spoke,
"YAY~~!! I made a friend! I finally made a friend too~!! Mother would be so happy! Ah! Then, we should exchange numbers too, Lady Carene."
Finally, made friends..? Don't tell me that her ability to make friends is even worse than mine. Well, I still got Celesta... at least now anyways.
"Okay. By the way... you can call me just Carene too. I won't mind if you do at all."
That Lady Carene bit really had started to give me goosebumps already. Although she hasn't been speaking that in any insulting way or something, too much respect feels kind of weird right now, especially between friends.
"Yes! Thank you very much, Lady Carene!"
Oh, I give up. She won't be changing her habits or mindset in just one day.
I would have to be patient with her and try to improve my bond with her. She doesn't look like a bad girl to me, at least. It should be fine being friends with her.
"Ehehe. Now we could serve my Masters together too..."
Wait. What was that?? I couldn't hear her properly at all.
Oh well. It's all fine if she is happy.

As I felt Nihara's mood becoming better, I began to try asking her some more things about her situation.
"So, how have your grades been so far? I mean, are you still able to focus on your studies when you are being... troubled like that?"
With how much abuse she had been putting up with, possibly from a long time till now, it would be a wonder if she didn't get affected in her studies or something.
"No no. It's no trouble at all. Masters used to reward me well whenever I spent my time with them earlier. Also! It feels so good when they cum inside me! The warmth... the stickiness... it's really amazing!"
Wait, I asked about academic studies! Not that kind of study! And, that much detail was not needed here at all!
