Chapter 1: Chapter One - Last Goodbye Rites
In Jemima's Apartment
Hey readers, I am Jemima Stephenson by name and I am 15 years of age, average-height, beautiful and intelligent. I am the firstborn and also the first daughter in my family. I have a naughty and cheeky kid sister named Mildred. She is just ten years old and very cute.
I was a student of Hamill Dayle High School in Neruize but now, of another school. When I was in Hamill Dayle High School, I had two close friends - Joslynn and Gwenn. They were my BFFs. They stood their grounds for me and opened a new world in my life (previously, I was a weirdie, a bookworm and an undiscovered star) but sadly, I changed to another high school.
I could remember when I was writing in my diary and then my BFFs stormed in. They were of irate mien. They looked very infuriated and then I had to hide my diary in my bag.
''Well...sorry for barging into your apartment like that.'' Gwenn said with such remorseful tone but deep down, she wasn't.
Joslynn looked at me with utmost pity, sat down on the couch and said to me lightly, ''We wanna discuss something very critical with you.''
''O-okay...'' I said, looking like an innocent prey. ''A-any problem?''
''Ish. How could you think of not telling us that you are going to another high school?'' Gwenn sputtered as she lowered her anger, waiting for my reply.
''Yes.'' Joslynn supported. ''The tidings are all over Hamill Dayle High School that you're going to some up-to-date high school and you never told us anything about that?!'' She said with unshed tears.
I was almost about to cry with tears gathering with much force. ''I didn't want to see you girls breakdown because of me. It wasn't my fault, it's my parents' decision to take me to another high school but I opposed. They said that it was already late because they've done the registrations so there's nothing I could do. And telling you girls is just as pouring more fuel to the fire.''
