Chapter 6: Chapter Six - Rivalry...

After the brief meeting, the students were dismissed to their classes right away by the principal. Seems like she was multitasking.

"Thanks for your cooperation but now you need to go to your classrooms, lessons would commence soon. Later news would be delivered to you." Principal Natalie said with hint of urgency in her voice. It seems like there was a quick board meeting and her presence was needed.

OMG! Crowds of students were goin back to their classrooms and I felt like a foreigner in an alien land. Thanks to Vice Principal Jensen, he was a savior at the mean time.

"Seems like you're perplexed?" He asked and I innocently nodded while staring at his honey-colored eyes. "You must be the newest scholar, Jemima Stephenson?" He asked again and I nodded like a meek girl I was.

"I am Mr. Jensen Kirk, the vice principal of Skye Evander High School. Sorry for not properly introducing myself." He said like a kind gentleman he was. He was probably in his early thirties judging from his handsome looks.

"Never mind." I replied. "Sir, I would like to know my classroom, please?"

"Oh! And that..." He drawled, peeking from a blank paper in his briefcase. "Your classroom...Classroom...number 528..."

Geez! Classroom number 528...?! What the heck was a number '528' doing with a classroom? I was so confused. I could still remember that the classrooms in Hamill Dayle High School were not even up to the half of 528. And I know that the number of classrooms in Skye Evander High School would surpass ten thousand, based on my parents' description.

"I can see you're confused...but not to worry, I'll take you there..." He said with such fatherly tone that I could feel at ease with him. We took the elevator so that we could reach there in no time, using the stairs would definitely stress me out and I never planned for that either.

On my way to 'classroom number 528', I could see robots here and there and that freaked me out. That was definitely my first time of seeing robots with my two naked eyeballs. I could only see those weird gadgets in movies or photos but seeing one with my eyes, I now knew that Skye Evander High School wasn't an ordinary high school.

"H-here we are!" The man said and I snapped out of my thoughts. There was a classroom as large as five stadias joined together. There were convoluted robots and gadgets all in neat orders. I couldn't see a blackboard or chalks and dusters, all I saw were a large television, mini bookshelves, and so many other things that could keep my mouth in an 'O' shape.

Just then a robot offered to give me a handkerchief to wipe away my sweats. I just freaked out, there were a lot of things that I could not explain but keep me in utter awe. And that was when I could remember that Evander was the largest and most civilized state in Ohreja, followed by Betyria (known for its intelligent and notable people, mostly scientists, poets, actors and all that), Esphyx (known for its gem importations and exportations), the disintegrated Eridan both North and South (known for its beautiful denizens) and Neruize (the smallest and poorest state in Ohreja).

"Hello students, this is Jemima Stephenson. She is your new classmate and please, socialize with her in both academic levels and other aspects. Just treat her nicely." The vice principal said and dashed out 'cause his presence in the board meeting was important at that moment.

Cripes! How can these students with mean faces socialize with me? They seemed not to care about me as they continued their random discussions. And as I was wondering myself out, a robot offered me a vacant seat. Damn! You needed to see the way I was gaping at this cutie robot. It had tyrian-colored lenses with pipe-like arms and legs and oval torso but the head was something I couldn't describe. I felt like hugging it but I controlled myself.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

On the other hand, those three girls that emotionally assaulted Jemima were seen at the very ends of the classroom. It seemed like they were infuriated to the core, planning on how to ditch someone. This SOMEONE must be an obstacle to the accomplishment of their goal.

"I still can't believe that the ugly crumpet, that bitch is still in this school?" Alyse Vanderbilt said with immense anger bubbling up inside her.

"Yeah." The orange-reddish hair-colored girl backed up. She must be Bitsy Kingstown. "With all those humiliations and embarrassments, she should be crying by now or possibly, dropped out from this school. She can't be here. She'll wreck stuffs for us." She continued.

"J-Jemima S-Stephenson?!" The bluish ombré blonde girl (Desha Sinclaire) muttered angrily, between heated gritting teeth. "Let's watch and see how this game will be played."

Only immortals could know the kind of heated battle occurring between Desha and Jemima. There was some sort of invisible friction between those girls but all that would be known soon.
