Chapter 7: The Notebooks

Death Arms was a hero shown in the anime on the first episode. I hadn't read the manga so I don't know if he was mentioned or not. But 5 months ago I came across an attack going on with him battling this villain. I put the villain on a different page. I've almost filled one notebook. With 300 pages it's incredible I've gotten this much. Of everyone recorded the most popular is Death Arms.

His quirk name is unknown but from what I know it is one that grants him superhuman levels of strength in his arms. It allows him to lift heavy things that would usually require machinery. A good quirk, it's unfortunate it doesn't grant him superhuman power everywhere in his body like Captain America. If anything, it's a water-downed version of one for all but only in the arms and can't be passed on.

Standing at an incredible height of at least 200 centimeters he is a muscular man with a wide build. He also has a square jaw, like a brick. His costume consisted of a large headband with a striped yellow and black pattern. He has thick wrist guards and wears a belt around the waist which consists of a square buckle with 2 triangles as decoration. He wears what looks to be a cyan-colored cardigan, which exposes his lower torso and the center of his pectorals, held onto his chest on each side by small metal nuts. His pants are dark blue, a white stripe down each side, and are slightly baggy on him, and his shoes are plain black with a simple design.

The other people I have in this notebook are either of lower status or I haven't observed much about them to make an accurate description of their quirks. Or their villains which are already detained and are in either prison, jail, or dead.

I have also procured another notebook but not for individuals as it's geared toward organizations. Gangs, mafia, corrupt hero agencies, anything I could find on the internet new and old. Of course, a lot of them have been destroyed or detained but the information and patterns exerted from these groups will be useful in planning routes to patrol. I wonder if this is what pro heroes do as a lot of the information on which areas they resided in and what common actions they took were all online and easily accessible.

I am going to need another notebook when I'm older to collect information on brokers. I could also trade notebooks to other heroes to catch villains easier. This would also be a good way to make money. No that's wrong, such information is too valuable for the possibility of it landing in villainous hands.

Holding the notebook in my hand I realize I need a place to store them. I can't create some crazy mechanism like Light did with the death note nor can I create an impenetrable safe with an AI capable of leveling the city. But I can start to learn how. It's like an epiphany, like lightning stuck and I gained an understanding of something I overlooked. I need more than just knowledge on how to fight. It would be incredibly useful if I got knowledge on materials and how to apply them to better myself up against opponents. Even if I was quirkless, if I could create a piece of armor or a weapon unmatched and had the skill to use them properly. The playing field would be evened out.

Something else I could try to do was physical enhancement. Become stronger, faster, have better reflexes. Naturally, this would be incredibly difficult to do and take a ton of time to procure and test but the results, if any, would be marvelous.

With these plans in mind, I'm going to get another notebook to write them down on and revise in the future. Standing up I put my notebook under my bed and walk towards the computer, determined to use this week break that I have to study ways to craft swords. I won't be able to get any experience in the field as my age would still restrict me and I don't know anyone who could teach me so I'll read some books online for now and cross-reference them.

I type in the search bar "different books on craftsmanship for swords" and see one that says "The Art of the Japanese Sword: The Craft of Swordmaking and its Appreciation".

Releasing a sigh and hyping myself up for the reading and notetaking I'm about to walk into before I hear "Jackal. It's time for dessert!" It's muffled from the distance and the door obscuring the noise but still heard from how loud the sentence is produced. "Okay! I'm coming!" I shout and power down the computer, rushing to the door.

(Short chapter I know but I'm getting ready for school to come back in soon so my schedule will change with releases. But in turn, I will try to make the chapters longer. I'm sorry to those of you who like daily releases but know that I will continue to strive for that. As always thank you for reading!)
