MAXXPAIN ELEANOR
"So, you were called here because they asked for permission to get you to prepare to go to the mansion."
I turned my gaze to the principal. I was silent for a few minutes. If I do not go with them, maybe something will happen to me, but I also do not want to go with people I do not know.
I bite my lower lip. This is probably the so-called situation where I am stuck and whichever I choose, I am disadvantaged.
I sighed deeply. No more relatives will accept me now. It doesn t matter if I think about it and choose what I want.
I looked at the two men and gave them a nod.
"Okay, fine. I ll be with you."
A smile flashed on their lips when they heard what I said.
"Thank you. Come and join us."
One of them looked in the direction of the principal and bowed to her as well.
"Thank you so much."
After they said goodbye to the principal, we immediately left the principal s office. We were out of school when I remembered that I could not even say goodbye to my friend. I think I will still study here, so I am sure I will still see her.
We hop in to the black car. It looks expensive, but I didn t notice much of its brand because I wasn t in the mood to look around.
The whole trip was just quiet. One man is driving, and the other is just seating next to him. I did not bother to look out the car window because I felt, when I did, that someone grabbed me and my life was in danger.
I remember my Mom and Dad. Did they really plan me to marry someone I did not know from the very beginning?
I do not understand. . . But what I do not understand more is why they want me to marry someone just the same age as Dad.
"Mom, Dad… You did this for my own good, right?" Tears welled up in my eyes as I uttered the words that had been circulating in my mind.
My brain just returned to reality when the car we were riding in stopped completely. The man in the passenger seat got off first. Then, he opened the door for me. When I got out of the car, a giant gate opened to me. The thief could not enter their place because of the height of the gate. When we stand at the door, the door automatically opens for us.
"Because it is the first day you come here, we will first walk from here to the mansion, so you can look around."
I just nodded to the two men with me. We started walking with one of them, and the other man left behind because he was the one who would drive the car to the mansion.
We had only a short walk, but I was amazed at what I saw around me. An enormous garden was on either side of us. From a distance, I saw a small pond. Maybe the owner of this house is rich.
"Can I know where the master is now? Maybe he s waiting for me at the mansion now because he sent me, right?"
I shuddered when I heard a faint laugh. I got a poker face, but I wouldn t be surprised if he laughed now. Who is the woman who is destined to marry a man who looks like her father? I really feel like Mom and Dad are just thinking about my well-being. Maybe they think that no one will like a nerd like me that do not know how to fix herself. So maybe they just thought of marrying me to an old man. Even if I look bad at love life, I will definitely not experience hardship in life. I was just shaken by what I thought.
"Sorry, madam, but our master is not here at the mansion today. He will come later this afternoon."
I stopped walking because of what I heard.
"Huh? Are you fooling me, or is it your boss who is cheating on me now? Do you know that this is the first time that I missed my class? Then, you say that? You should wait me to finish my study first."
I sighed deeply. I feel it would be better not to get angry at these times until I have talked to the man referred to in the paper. Furthermore, I just shook my head and continued my walk.
A few more minutes passed before we finally reached the door of the so-called mansion. We were greeted by numerous helpers. They are all lined up and bent over.
"Welcome to the mansion, Madam Maxxpain."
I winced when they mentioned my name. I feel like I am a lost child of the richest man in the world. We went inside, and my eyes widened at what I saw. Everything around are twinkled. Chairs, stairs, and even the floors are like golds. Am I in the right place? Could it not be the mansion of a foreign king? I shook my head again and sighed deeply. I should not fall to the things I see now.
"Madam, this will be your room." A maid, who was as young as my fiancé, walked over to me.
We walked towards the second floor and stopped at the far end of the hallway. The maid opened the door for me. When I went inside the room, I smelled a fragrant flower used for my room.
"Stay there until our Master arrive." The maid bowed to me again before she finally left me.
I wanted to ask her some question, but I decided to just ask when the man I was waiting for was here.
I sat on the oversized and soft bed.
Furthermore, I clasped my two hands together and thinking about myself.
Can I live in this gigantic mansion? It wasn t long before I arrived here, but I couldn t breathe now. I feel like I don t fit in here.
