Synopsis

This is based on 40 chapters & includes spoilers. There are a couple of grammatical issues but for me they don't really stop me from understanding the story. I like that the story is set in the 80's & how both FL & ML are in equal standing - they are both poor & powerless but know how to take action when needed. It's easy to feel annoyed at FL's situation who has a stepmother that won't stop trying to marry her off & a spineless father who, though hasn't mistreated her himself, knows his daughter should be treated better. Even without power & being overly smart, FL begins to plan her escape from that/her family. I like seeing the steps she takes to ensure her freedom. As for ML, he's not in a position to help her yet but he's a decent man. I want to see how he gains power & begins to pursue her.
This such a great story so far as of 35 chapters in. However, who every is uploading this isn't doing any proof reading or pronoun checking. not give any spoilers but it would be a paragraph about a female character doing something and it would be saying 'He did this...' instead of 'she did this...'. I understand that the Chinese language , at least written, doesn't have specific gender pronouns or something but if you're going to take the chance to translate it into the English language or any language that does have specific gender pronouns then maybe take the chance to pander to your targeted audience?

This story is actually cute 💜. Just the translation is not so good. It needs some good editing. It started out well but then just progressively got worse and worse as the story went on. So once you get to chapter 40 your mind is screaming at the mixed up pronouns and words 😭❤️🩹. This is my biggest problem with the novel. I gave trranslation a 1 star ☹️. On another note, I feel like the FL is so awesome she doesn't need a ML 😂. I mean I know he's a great ML, but the FL really has started to create an independent life for herself and I hope even when they get together she maintains that aspect of herself 💖. Hope this one gets picked though. I want to see what the FL does next! ✨

This story looks so interesting! It’s also something new to see a shy male lead and it was and that he did not just fall in love with no reason but it was because of something that he had been hoping for this whole time😂 Really hope this book gets chosen!:D

Author please write more chapters! The flow is great and the characters are solid! I like a rebirth story where the main character doesn’ automatically have superior strength or super smart! The FL has to work hard to become strong, this is totally a weak to strong FL story!
