I have finally made up my mind and am going to give him a chance too. I know am risking my life but I can't deny the fact that I like brian even though I might put his future in danger but I want to take the risk and whatever the consequences it might be I hope that I won't blame myself for it.
Even though martha is asking me not to do it but am willing to make this sacrifice for myself for ince in my life.
I have played the role of a good daughter to please her in every way but now am doing this for myself and I won't let anything stop for what I want to believe in.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Martha asked curiously.
"Yeah I do,besides what could go wrong?"I asked.
"Alot could go wrong samra,what if your mom doesn't approve of him?or worse expels him ?then what? Will you take the blame?" She asked worried.
"I know that you are worried about me and so am I, you should also know that am putting myself at risk too, she might do worse than just expelling him he might also be accused of things he didn't do" I said knowing what my mom is capable of.
"What do you mean by accusing him?" Martha asked curiously about what I said.
"I mean she will do whatever it takes to make him be seen like a bad influence or something "I said trying not to mention anything about her.
"You mean to say that your mom is capable of falsely accusing someone for something they didn't do? Wow!" She said being surprised of who my mom is.
"Promise me that you won't tell anyone about this" I said.
"I ju...just can't believe it, she seems so calm and loving, h..how do you even live like this?" She asked.
"Well that's how my mom is, if she doesn't accept you,she will do whatever it takes to push you out of my life" I confessed.
"Fine,I promise not to tell on your mom and I'll help you keep your dating secret" she said as she showed me her hand to shake it.
The next day
I woke up early than usual and got myself ready for class and woke Martha as I went to the bathroom.
By eight I was having my breakfast which Martha has prepared as I was taking shower and I was waiting for her to get ready.
We both left our dorm room to go to class, martha and I have the same schedule and we do all the classes together except for art and games.
She loves playing volleyball while I like drawing and painting things. So today we had Mrs Maya's class in the morning so we went in together.
As I was putting my books down, someone joined us and it was Brian, he sat next to me while martha sat on my left side.
As I was preparing for the class, Martha tapped my shoulder and I looked at her only for her to point infront of me.
It was Sophia, she was looking for a place to sit when Mrs maya came in and started her class by 5he end of it, she asked us to be in groups and gave us an assignment where we have to do research on technology.
Everyone sat in groups except for Sophia who had no one to let her join their group,I was about to raise my hand and ask her to join us when Martha stopped me and shook her head as "no".
"Whay can't she join us?" I asked her.
"I don't think it's a great idea to let her join us when everyone else doesn't want to "she grinned at me.
"Well am not everyone and besides it's a group project and she can't be by herself she will fail" I sympathized with her.
"It's not going to he your fault either,so let it be" she said as she turned to look at her.
"Well it's not fair, besides why did you say that she was confessing her feelings for Brian when you weren't sure what she wrote to him?" I asked as I remembered what she said the previous day.
"I just did it to piss her off, I just don't know why but I don't want to be in the same group as her ok" she said as she rolled her eyes.
"Well you need to suck it up Martha, it's a group project and you need to put your personal issues aside and let's work together ok?" I asked as I grinned back.
I then put my hand up and asked Sophia to join us, by the time we sat together in group the class ended and I turned to Brian to talk to him.
"So I was wondering if you want to come to my house this weekend for us to study in group" I said.
"Really,is your mom going to be ok with it, you do remember I almost got caught sneaking into your room" he reminded me.
"I know that but my mom is on business trip and wot be back till next month or so" I said looking at him.
"Ok sure,I'll be there after practice just text me your address "he said as stood up.
I was picking up my bag when I noticed Sophia was leaving and I stopped her she turned around and I asked her to come to my house so that we could all do the project together.
She was silent for a minute before she agreed and I was glad that we will spend time together and know each other.
I just want to start having friends again,its been years and I want to enjoy this moment as I can, I don't know what the future holds but am willing to spend every moment of my life in college as many times as I can.
Ever since that incident, I forbade myself from having friends because of my mom but now am going to do it,I want to enjoy this journey in college in the most beautiful and memorable way and maybe fall in love.
Who knows I might make the best of it and hopefully this weekend will be the start of new beginnings of friendship and love.
Crossing my heart hope for the best thing possible....
