Natsuki Subaru opened his eyes and met with an unfamiliar sight and a very familiar feeling in his chest. Something he had felt almost two, or maybe three, years ago.
"Another world? Again?" He asked himself as he got up from his meditative position and dusted off his black kimono with a frown. "Since when do people get to have two isekai adventures?"
Though this world... it felt weird. There was a distinct lack of negative feelings that had been practically an everyday part of his now old world, yet the negativity would also come up and disappear every few moments. So, he was likely in a world that was not completely filled with war but not exactly peaceful? Still...
"Can't be worse than what I've been through till now." He said as he picked up his shakujo and started walking around in order to get some information.
As far as he was able to piece together, he was in the capital city of a kingdom called Lugnica; which was populated by humans and demi humans, humanoids with non human characteristics. There probably was some sort of rarity based division between them, great. It was kind of nice to be in a country with an actual name though; much better than being called the Land of Fire or the Land of Water or the Land of Vegetables or Land of Grass.
Still, it was kind of bizarre to be in a place that felt like it was only populated by civilians. As far as he could sense, nobody around here actually had chakra. It kinda creeped him out after spending years trying to get used to the weird energy that now ran through his body after... after...
No. No, he was not gonna think about that awful day and screw anyone who wanted him to. He was not gonna think about that asshole Mui... damn it!
"Oya oya." A voice roused Subaru from his thoughts and he realized that he had walked into an alley while lost in thought. Now, he was surrounded by a rather weird trio.
A thin looking guy with blue hair and pinkish highlights, who for some reason had his tongue out and was wearing a thick metal collar with chain on it.
A huge man with muscular arms and a huge belly who not only had his purple hair in braids but also had huge lips.
Finally a very small guy, as in smaller than a literal child, with a very punchable grin and a bowl cut haircut.
Subaru dubbed them as 'Weirdo', 'Fatty' and 'Shorty' in his mind.
"Mister monk, would you like to make a little donation to the less fortunate?" Weirdo said as he licked the knife in his hand, gross. And of course they were thieves, he already had realized it by their emotions though.
"You three should just go home, the ending of this story will be far less pleasant than you think otherwise." Subaru did the bare minimum in order to get them to leave, already knowing form their emotions that none of them had the smallest intention of leaving. So it wasn't much of a surprise when Weirdo just tried to stab him, only for Subaru to step aside and hit him in the stomach with the butt of his shakujo.
The next few minutes were spent with one of the dumb trio trying to attack, Subaru dodging and Subaru hitting them back till all three were on their backs with defeat.
Still, Subaru found himself unsatisfied with the current situation and decided to haul Shorty up from his collar and just started slapping him. Left, right, left, right.
If master Chiriku or elder Chūkaku saw him abuse the weak like this, they would have had some stern words with him but at the moment; Subaru could not bring himself to care.
He had been spending the week trying to avoid shinobis as much as possible since the tensions were high between countries for some dumb reason, almost got eaten by a giant chameleon, almost got cursed by an old ring possessed by a long dead Daimyou and even got too near to a fight between a jōnin from Iwa and the fucking jinchūriki of Nibi! And now he was experiencing an isekai situation once more, he was officially out of fucks to give and needed to let some stress out.
That's why he didn't stop slapping Shorty even as he felt someone's panic and stress come near him at an impressive speed or gave any attention to the little girl, who was the owner of the panic and stress, that ran past him while saying something about 'strong life'.
He did at least slow down when a feeling of panic and very big stress started to approach him.
"You!" And finally stopped as he heard the voice of a girl throughout the alley, making him turn his head towards the source of the voice and... he was mesmerized.
Throughout the last few years in his new world, Subaru had seen his fair share of beauties. Hell, he had even caught a glimpse of the legendary Tsunade herself once in Tanzaku Gai. Yet the girl looking at him felt far more beautiful with her silvery white hair, amethyst like purple eyes and her slightly pointy ears.
She was... beautiful.
"Give back what you stole!" And she was accusing him of theft... a typical day for Natsuki Subaru.
