Chapter 122: Ch 111 – ZA WARUDO!
With a flash of subtle black and white light, Rintarou's body appears behind a set of bushes in a flash while holding the Yamato in his right arm like a suspicious person.
"Sigh, we're still far off from fighting against beings like Sirzechs or Ophis, but we're already Satan Class in combat effectiveness with the intense training I went through with the Gamer Socks," Rintarou said, clearly satisfied from the previous fight against the overpowered maid and finally confirming how strong he truly was after his intense gaming session.
[Well I'm off to sleep again, don't wake me up unless it's really important.] Ddraig said, still in line with his sleeping habits of sleeping whenever he has a chance.
"Yeah yeah, sleep well Ddraig," Rintarou said, and with one click from his black shoes, he appears right inside his class early in the morning meaning he was the only one here at this time.
And as he looks around the room with distant eyes, he starts to slowly realize how lonely he truly was.
A huge lack of friends, a large number of secrets, and with infinite realities weighing on his mind, loneliness seems to be certain for the rest of his life.
Letting out a sigh, he sits down on his chair and looks up towards the ceiling with a blank stare.
"My family… they're seemingly the only one that would be a constant for me, this universe… the universe I came from is the only constant I can find, sigh. My mental health is really getting worse huh, oh well, it would only get worse from the things I've done in this short period so maybe it can act as my retribution, all in the name of science is what I would say, but sometimes I'm not even sure it's worth it at this point," Rintarou mutters, confuse on how his life has rapidly changed from getting this… curse as he would like to call it.
He would have been fine if he just simply lives in one universe and was not cursed with knowledge so vast and mind-breaking, but no, he was put into a position envied by many but for him, it's sometimes hard for him to be mentally sane.
Ironically enough, his greatest weapon called his mind is also his greatest weakness.
Oh well, he thought. Dismissing all of his worries away with a single constant smile on his face that just says… I'm alright.
(A Few Hours Later)
A loud ring was heard all around the school building as cheers of joy erupted from the whole classroom for this day's classes had ended, leaving them with nothing else to do but go back home, Rintarou picks up his bag with one hand while clicking his shoes and with a soundless swish, he appears on top of a rooftop that is essentially his place of peace.
Then with a coin pick out from his pocket, he inserts it into a familiar vending machine and chooses the first drink he ever brought from this vending machine, a bottle of green tea.
A bottle that was used to make his first-ever invention of Yes or No, and luckily enough, the bottle was indeed right, God is real.
With a pop and a swig, he takes a sip of nostalgia from the bottle while looking at the setting sun in the distance, so beautiful and magnificent, that he stretches out his hand as if he was grabbing the sun itself.
"To harness the whole sun, a good end goal if you will. To reach the peak in science is to throw away most of your humanity to reach horizons never before seen. Do I continue this accursed path to reach an unknown goal? To continue traveling from one reality to another? Perhaps, even more sets of realities other than this one? Who knows!" Rintarou says with a wide grin as if he was disconnected from the reality he was in, clearly showing something was more to him than what he likes to show.
"All I know is that I want to have fun and see the end to this adventure of mine!" with a loud chuckle, Rintarou chugs down all of the green tea while letting out a satisfied sigh at the same time the sun was fully sniffed out by the horizon, leaving nothing else but its glow.
"Hehe, enough with that melancholy! Let's just start project Annihilation Maker Balance Breaker!" Rintarou says, and with a snap, he suddenly appears in another reality on top of a huge floor of leaves?
"Kukuku, it seems like the World Tree has been growing well, I can just feel the average mana quality in the world is growing at a rapid pace. But it's time to harvest the fruits of my labor!" Rintarou said, and with one tap to a random gigantic leaf, the whole world seemingly shakes in response as he appears at the base of the gigantic tree that encompasses a whole world.
"Okay, let's just do the experiment one last time and if it fails, then I'll resort to sacrificing the World Tree to Balance Breaker Annihilation Maker, and if that fails, oh well, I'll just go to another parallel reality and redo the experiment again. Besides, what's one reality when there are infinite!" with a snap using his right hand, the shadows around him start to flutter around like dazzling butterflies of the night while a ginormous amount of mana is starting to get dispense from Rintarou's body.
"Kuk!" Rintarou lets out of his mouth, clearly struggling with whatever he was doing as his right arm was trembling, and in the end, the shadowy silhouette of a person in front of him fades away back into the shadows as the experiment seems to have failed.
"Hooh, just like last time. I knew it would take much more than that to basically achieve something only a god could do," Rintarou sighs, clearly annoyed at how he failed.
"Ddraig, wake up! I'm going to commence the experiment right now!" Rintarou shouts as it made Ddraig wide awake from Rintarou's call.
[Oh, you mean the Life Maker plan?] Ddraig asks with a groggy voice due to him just waking up.
"Yeah, I've done it for another time and it seems like I'll have to resort to using this World Tree," Ritnarou says while patting the base of the tree.
[Well go on then, I'm watching.] Ddraig said with curiosity coating his rumbling deep voice.
"Okay, commencing Experiment 1!" Rintarou shouts as a floating drone appears in the distance whose task is to record the experiment he was about to do.
With everything prepared, Rintarou walks to the tree and pats his palm on the woody trunk, feeling the life force and vitality coursing through the tree that has absorbed the vitality of a whole planet, he lets out a chuckle and starts his plan for doing the impossible.
To make a life with a soul.
With a single tug to the seemingly endless vitality in the tree, roots upon roots around the whole world started to become lifeless as their life was sucked dry by Rintarou.
And as he did that, Annihilation Maker is churning with all its might to achieve his wielder's goal, to make a new life.
With the shadow around them gathering in front of them to form the silhouette of a person, more and more roots around the world have their life sucked out of them to contribute to the being that was forming in front of them.
[It's working!] Ddraig shouts, clearly excited at how the experiment is seemingly working without a hitch.
And soon, mana and vitality funneled into the Annihilation Maker as it even started to produce cracks in his soul but Rintarou pursued on, not worrying about Annihilation Maker's current status.
Soon, inside Rintarou's soul, the color black started to spread all around as Annihilation Maker did all of its best to control the shadows and make his user's imagination into reality even if it was near impossible to do with its current state.
And as the project continues, earthquakes and natural disasters appeared all around the world as more roots soon died, having their vitality sucked out of them by a singular person.
With a cold gaze, he watches the silhouette of the being he wants to be created slowly get stabilized in front of him.
"Maybe going Balance Breaker isn't even needed," Rintarou said who was surprised at how well it was going right now, perhaps he underestimated Annihilation Maker.
But soon, the silhouette starts to get wavy as the Annihilation Maker in his soul received more cracks.
With a calm face, Rintarou increases his control over the energy coursing through the Annihilation Maker as cracks filled its whole body, creating more and more miniature cracks that are starting to destroy the darkness in Rintarou's soul enveloped by the shadow of Annihilation Maker.
[Sigh, it seems like it wouldn't work first try.] Ddraig reluctantly said, clearly wishing that all of this would have been done in one take.
"Perhaps… or maybe this is a blessing in disguise," Rintarou said, and as the darkness in his soul got more and more estranged from Annihilation Maker's cracks, a single mote of light suddenly appeared from nowhere.
And as lights started to seep out from the cracks in his Annihilation Maker, the silhouette in front of them got stabler and more solid as the tree around them started to rapidly get destroyed.
"Almost there!" Rintarou says, and as the leaves on top of them fall down towards the ground creating large craters, more light starts to seep through the cracks along with the being in front of them starting to get completed.
And as an explosion of light burst from the darkness of the Annihilation Maker, a new change started from nowhere as the being in front of them started to gain a real form.
From top to down, a floating being with a strange appearance was made, the color yellow was prominent all around it. Having a very humanoid figure, it holds compact and tight muscles all around it that show unrivaled strength. And as the last bit of its body was formed, the being was complete along with Annihilation's Maker's new form.
"Balance Breaker: Life Bearer!" Rintarou mutters, letting out a sigh of relief at their success while the being in front of him looks at Rintarou with intrigued eyes.
[Success! We did it!] Ddraig shouts as mental fireworks appear in their shared mindscape, making Rintarou chuckle while walking toward the being in front of them.
"Since it took a whole world to make you, I shall name you… The World," Rintarou said, with The World nodding in response and entering his soul, binding with it as a new life was born from the bug called Annihilation Maker.
[Now go try its ability!] Ddraig shouts, clearly excited for what is about to come as if he knows what The World is for.
"Hehe, let's do it!" Rintarou said while the ethereal figure of The World appears right beside Rintarou.
"You ready pal?" Rintarou says, and with The World nodding in response, Rintarou's grin widens preparing for The World's special ability.
"Za! WARUDO!" Rintarou shouts and as he did that, everything… stopped.
With gleeful eyes similar to those of a child, Rintarou peeks around this world of stopped time and lets out a gleeful laugh.
[Hohoho, so this is what stopping time is like, a broken ability indeed!] Ddraig says as time resumed back to normal.
"Indeed, a fitting ability that takes a world to make. But… it wouldn't be a useful ability if there wasn't an exploit!" Rintarou said with a nefarious grin alongside Ddraig.
[Fufufu, indeed!] Ddraig agrees, clearly showing that there was something they added to The World's ability that would be considered a bug in this world.
"ZA! WARUDO!" Rintarou shouts once more, stopping time within a split second as they mentally count down 5 seconds.
And as time resumes once more, it simply… went back to being stuck in a world of stopped time.
"Ha… ha… hahahahaha!" laughs Rintarou, clearly showing that their scheme has succeeded!
[KUKUKU! To think we can make it so that it only requires your life energy to stop time! Something that you have an endless amount of! Now we can simply stop time without a cooldown!] Ddraig explains, finally showing their scheme to light as two megalomaniacs constantly went on to stop time, savoring in the feeling of power they now have.
And with Rintarou messing about in the world of stopped time, a new power has been added to his weird assortment of abilities, is it a coincidence or not? Returning back to purely 3rd Person POV has been eye opening once more after sticking to only 1st Person for a few weeks, I've somehow improved that aspect of mine even though I haven't written in 3rd Person for a good while.
But yes, Dio could theoretically just keep going ZA WARUDO because of his vampire physiology bringing endless life energy/stamina or whatever you like to call it.
