Chapter 2: You remember this song?

Rian held his photo with Rania at the amusement park. He leaned back in his oversized chair looking up at the ceiling. Slowly a clear liquid slid from his eyelids. He closed his eyes to cut off the flow of warm water. He is a great man who can become weak because of Love.
'Eight years, the time I spent without you was not easy, Rania. During these eight years I also harbored a love that was getting deeper and deeper. I regret my foolishness in realizing true love too late. I miss you so much. When I know you are happy, I give up. Trying to forget and hold on to our memories. You seem to have suffered so much all this time. If only I had found you earlier, maybe by now we'd be happy with our little family.'

All the employees in the lobby of Big entertainment's office bowed their heads respectfully to their superiors. Rian walked without looking at anyone. His body is well proportioned and athletic. His facial expression always looks cold, never smiles. However, that cold face radiated his handsome aura even more. His admirers are mostly female employees.
"Where are you headed, boss?" asked Dion the assistant.
"Ordinary cafe," he answered flatly.
The assistant nodded then gave the order to the driver to immediately go. Rian leaned back and closed his eyes to expel the tiredness of the day.
Arriving at the cafe Rian was referring to, he ordered his two subordinates to go home and upgrade the car with him. Then he ruffled his long hair to cover his ears and forehead. Then took thick-rimmed glasses and put them on. He quickly changed his appearance so that no one would recognize him.
Rian entered the cafe and sat at the back table near the window. He looked around looking for the figure of a woman who had worked for a month at this cafe. During this month, Rian always came, even if he only saw the woman's face.
It wasn't long before a female waiter came over to him. After ordering food and drink from the menu, he had time to ask about Rania's whereabouts. Today Rania's part time work schedule is here.
"Sis Rania is still busy in the kitchen, sir," replied the waiter, he thought maybe this customer was Rania's acquaintance.
Ryan nodded and thanked him. He waited for more than an hour, but Rania never came.
A few minutes later Rian saw the figure of the woman he missed coming out of the kitchen. Rania works as a waiter here. Occasionally he also helps the kitchen work which is often a hassle when there are many customers.
Rian called the waiters earlier to ask for paper and pens. Then he handed over two pieces of paper, one with the title of the song to be sung by the cafe singer. The other one is to be given to Rania when the song is finished.
When Rania heard the song, she fell silent as if thinking about something. He asked his friend this song at whose request? The waitresses didn't want to say anything before the song was over. Rania looked around guessing the person. It wasn't long before he knew anyone.
Shadow Lover (Kekasih bayangan) song by Cakra Khan. Rania listened with great appreciation, remembering the memories when she once sang this song. Rian has been watching him ever since.

Rian's gaze did not leave Rania. He praised the woman's beauty the same as before, only now she looked more mature. Sadness etched on Rania's face, she lived every verse of the song she heard. Until the visitors' applause was heard, Rania realized. Then Rania received the second paper from Rian, Rania read it.

Rania frowned, she looked at where Rian was. Their gazes met, Rian smiled at him. Rania suddenly left and walked hastily to the back. Seeing that Rian got up and immediately followed him.
Rania turns into the break room for the staff. Rian thought Rania would leave again after seeing her. When he was about to enter, the cafe owner suddenly came up to him. It seems the owner can recognize him even in disguise.
"Mr. Rian?" said the owner holding out his hand, Rian greeted him.
"Oh yes, Mr. David."
"I didn't expect Mr. Rian to come to visit this cafe."
"Yes, of course Mr. David, I also need to relax, work at the office is very confusing, there's no harm in refreshing my brain right?"
"Hahaha, of course it's not wrong ... anyway, what do you need Mr. Rian to do here?" asked David without further ado.
"Ooo ... this is Mr. David. I saw my acquaintance earlier and he is your employee. May I talk to him for a moment?"
"Rania, you mean?" asked David guessing, all he saw coming inside was the woman.

The door to the room opened slowly. Rania is sitting on the sofa to rest. When he looked back, he was shocked and suddenly stood up to see Rian's arrival. His face was tense, unsure of where else to run. Rian approached him, Rania was silent seeing him.
Rian came closer and whispered in the woman's ear. "Hi… Rania, long time no see, how are you?" The voice sounded soft in his ears, the fine hairs on his neck trembled.

They were facing each other, very close. Rania's heart seemed to be jumping, Rian smiled very sweetly. The smile that once made him fall in love.
"What's with that weird expression? You don't miss me?"
"I-I…." His tongue was tight, it was hard to answer.
"Okay, I missed you a lot." Rian quickly pulled the woman's body into his arms. Rania who wasn't ready was wide-eyed.
He was silent for a long time, then Rania returned the warm hug. He also felt the same way, missing Rian. The figure of a good friend in his youth, his first love.
“Ri–Rian… I….” His chest began to constrict, Rian's embrace was so strong that it pressed there.
"Ahh, sorry." Ryan let go. "Where are you going all this time?"
Rian doesn't seem to know anything, he actually knows everything about Rania, except when she disappeared eight years ago.
