Chapter 72: Issue #5
The next day around 7 pm, 3 figures were floating outside of Essex Corporation. They could not be seen due to each of them being invisible but the few in the building felt as if there was a blade at their throat, ready to cut at any moment. Thus, everyone was eager to get off work.
Jack and the two avatars were wearing black zentai that disguised them. These were made out of unstable molecules secured by Emma.
{Troy. Make the initial move and distract anyone that comes. Qilip, find Sinister. I will secure the data first before coming with you to kill Sinister.}
{Got it!} the avatars said at the same time
Jack and Qilip flew a bit further away to give Troy some space. After they backed away, Troy began to smirk.
Troy's body became visible before black energy began swirling around his body. He then broke these swirls off into several crescent shapes before sharpening them.
"Agh!"
The crescents flew off of Troy's body and traveled through the air rapidly. The further they got away from his body, the larger the crescents became. By the time they reached the building, the smallest of them was about 50 feet wide while the largest was over 100 feet from tip to tip.
The blades tore through the building like scissors through paper. Just from his initial attack, the entire building was brought down in one blow. But he was not done yet.
[Chaos Orbs]
Several orbs made of pink energy appeared all around Troy's body before being launched at the rubble of the building. They caused several large explosions and lifted most of the rubble into the air.
This was a fraction of the true power that Jack could exhibit if he went all out. While most heroes were street-level, Jack was easily able to destroy a small island if he wanted to.
Just as Troy was about to launch another attack, he felt something on his arm. When he turned to see what it was, he saw a long string of web that had a man in a spider suit attached to the end of it.
"Hey... guy? The BDSM convention isn't until next week and is in Brooklyn. Also, I think this might be a little too much for even the most durable masochists," Spider-Man said as he swung onto and landed on a nearby skyscraper.
"Spider-Man!" Troy yelled out
"Nice to know that I'm famous. Mind telling me your name?" Spider-Man asked. He was trying to hold off and buy time
"Haven't come up with one yet. Will think about that later. For now though..." more black energy began to swirl around Troy's body
"Umm. Can we wait like 5 minutes? My backup should be here by then. While I don't wanna sell myself short, I'm pretty sure that I can only beat you in a meteor comes crashing down," Spider-man pleaded while he quickly began thinking of methods to stall for time
Surprisingly, the black energy around Troy stopped swirling and he began to sit in the air.
"That's fine. I did this specifically to test my limits. As long as none of them perform a sneak attack on me when they arrive, I'm more than willing to wait for more competitors."
"Oh. Well cool. Let me tell them that sneak attacks are off the table then," Spider-Man said as he pulled out his Avenger Card.
While he was surprised that he had managed to meet a reasonable villain, minus the building he just demolished, he decided to try and stall for as long as he could. Spider-Man had met several weird villains before so he was not very suspicious of Troy's words.
Unknown to him, Troy was also stalling for time. As soon as Spider-Man had arrived, Jack and Qilip had phased through the ground and entered the underground library.

As soon as they reached the underground, the pair split off. Neither had a chance to perform reconnaissance on the place. As he was exploring, Qilip felt the world spin and he lost his ability to become intangible. When he came to, he saw several individuals standing in front of him.
"The Marauders!"
Qilip recognized each of them from Jack's memories. Each of them was a violent killer that only wanted to bring suffering. They would kill for pleasure or money. But the weird thing about them was that no matter how many times they were killed, they would always come back. The number of Marauders that had stayed dead was barely a percentage of the number that had been killed by the Avengers, X-Men, and others.
The ones standing in front of him were Vertigo, Sabertooth, Prism, and Hans. Each of them had killed hundreds for Sinister, and maybe even more for themselves.
"Good. I wanted some powers that he doesn't have," Qilip said to himself
"What are you talking about, boy?" Sabertooth asked as he extended his claws
"Doesn't matter. Dead men do not need this information," Qilip replied before he began to breathe fire on the group. And with this first assault, the battle had begun.
On Jack's end, he had already found both of the main goals for coming to the place. Sinister was sitting on a throne while Jack saw a room that most likely contained all the information he wanted behind him.
"My, my, my. I wonder which rats have dared to enter my home," Mr. Sinister questioned from his seat playfully
The man would terrify children if they saw him. He had pure white skin along with glow, red eyes that did not have irises. He also had a red diamond in the middle of his head.
Jack didn't answer but created a spear of black ice before shooting it through Mr. Sinister's skull. But as the body fell toward the floor, Jack didn't enter the Dark Place like he usually did. Instead, he just stood there like normal people did when they killed someone.
"So you're an assassin then."
Mr. Sinister spoke once again. Though it wasn't from the body that had an ice spear through its head. Instead, another Mr. Sinister appeared from behind his throne.
Jack remained silent as he tried to piece together why Sinister wasn't dead. While he was thinking it over, 4 mutants appeared and surrounded him.
Vertigo, Sabertooth, Prism, and Hans stood around him with Mr. Sinister standing next to the throne while looking at Jack in amusement.
"It doesn't matter if you don't want to speak. I will be sure to dissect your body and get the answers I want from that later.
