Chapter 36: Chaos
[Alubarna Castle, Royal Garden]
'' You were the one who messed my hair!?'' ten year old Vivi stomped to the ground in anger as she glared at Abel.
' Relationship formed with Vivi(intermediate character). Current relationship -10.'
Abel who already positioned himself in a cool position smiled at Vivi on top of a rock.
'' Yeah'' Abel declared proudly.
'' WHY!?'' Vivi was very annoyed.
'' Well, I am a master at making hairs. I thought it was very poorly made. Come, I will make your hair for you.'' Abel casually spoke nonsense.
Vivi looked at him doubtfully. '' Are you really good at making hairs?''
Abel looked at her disdainfully '' I am sure, I am better then you, brat! Come over.'' Even though Abel was not a master of making hair he was decent at it. He wouldn't lose to a ten year old girl! Vivi was reluctant but didn't want to go back and emberass herself with her messy hair. She was a princess, decorum was something expected from her. She reluctantly sat in front of Abel and let him make her hair. Abel kept speaking as he made her hair.
'' This place is very very boring. I shouldn't have come to Alabasta! İt is extremely boring!'' Abel spoke angrily but his eyes were calculating.
'' A-Alabasta is not boring! Me and Kohza always play outside, it is very fun! Also castle is also beautiful. You don't know anything at all!'' Vivi immediately disagreed.
'' İs that so? I walked around in castle but didn't see anything good at all. I think you are just biased because you are the princess!''
'' I-I am not biased! You just saw the banquet hall! There are many places you don't know!''
Abel's eyes shined brightly.
'' İs that so!? I don't believe you at all. İf it is so good show me around!''
'' I... I can't. Outsiders shouldn't go inside.'' Vivi's voice got softer.
'' I knew it! You are just boasting randomly. Where did you learn speaking such nonsense?'' Abel scolded in a disinterested tone.
'' I AM NOT LYİNG! FİNE! I will show you around! But you must do something for me in exchange.'' Vivi shouted with a red face.
Abel looked at her a little surprised. '' İt is just showing around the place. What do you even want?''
Vivi snorted. '' I haven't decided yet. This is my birthday. You must do something for me or I won't show you around!''
' Oh... Banquet is because today is her birthday.'
'' Fine, deal!'' Abel agreed casually.
[ Outside the Capital]
Norris looked at the mess of skeletons in front of him and spoke to Crocodile calmly.
'' Since you finished playing the hero, we can speak business now, right?''
Crocodile looked at him and sneered.
'' You are from Cipher Pole, aren't you? I have no business to talk with you. Also me playing the hero is for my plans after becoming a warlord. İt doesn't concern you.''
'' Being a warlord means you are allied to world government in a way. Help us find that person. With your ability you can find anyone in desert by spending some effort.''
'' I said I am not interested. Get lost.'' Crocodile turned around to hunt other pirates. Norris frowned and threw him a den den mushi.
'' İf you change your mind, call me.''
[Alabasta, Trainee Room]
'' Congrulations, you all passed the tests. From now on you will be proud members of Baroque Works. But before entering the base you must prove your loyalty...''
Nana ignored the instructor as she finally managed to take Barbossa out of the conversation.
'' YOU!''
'' Uh, what's wrong?'' Barbossa asked.
'' Why are you so close with that guy? Anyways, I have an idea. You go and distract them.'' Nana spoke. Barbossa sighed as he turned to new recruits and some of the instructors and gave them a cunning smile.
'' Who wants to play poker? I have lot's of money left to spend!'' Barbossa said as he took out some of the gold Abel gave them with pained heart. 'İf I lose much he must compensate me.'
Galdino(Mr.3) was interested. '' We have no chips.''
'' You can make with your candle fruit.''
İn the end everyone started playing poker happily after Barbossa convinced them and even gave away his money for free with a bleeding heart. ' Fuck! I want compensation!'
Nana saw everyone was distracted and slitted the the throat of a guard that is guarding the door that opens to underground. Nana hided the body and sneakily went towards the base of operations for ordinary members.
[Capital, An Alleyway]
Mr 2. was kneeling on the ground while bleeding. He looked up and asked confused.
'' Stop joking around! I don't even know you... Ah, I might have seen your face before somewhere?''
'' That's why I am taking you out. Sorry.'' An extremely calm voice answered before leaving.
[Alubarna Castle]
Abel took Vivi as they ditched her birthday and roamed the castle. There were knocked out guards everywhere. Vivi looked at Abel conflicted.
'' Why are you knocking them out!?''
'' Well... We don't want to get caught, right? Your father might get angry to you. I don't want you to get scolded in your birthday. İt is just knocking them out, relax.'' Abel soothed Vivi with a happy voice while searching for some important room to find clues. Abel was planning to gain their trust first before robbing them or getting clues about ponegliph but since Vivi was with him showing him around he wouldn't bother with it anymore. After a while Abel finally found some private rooms that might have clues and roamed inside. Vivi looked at him with a red face.
'' Thats father's room, get out!''
'' Ok, Ok. Just for a minute. Why are you so anxious? Do you think I am a thief or something? I am a prince.'' As Abel spoke nonsense he also looked around and saw some important looking documents. He distracted Vivi while storing all the important things in his spatial ring. Just as he was about to happily leave he saw some sand in the room and frowned. ' Even though this is a sand country, other rooms are all clean without any dust. İt is obviously cleaned daily. Someone else entered here before me?'
Abel felt a little anxious. Just as he was about to call Nana and Barbossa to ask for some intel about Crocodile he felt a signal in his broadcast den den mushi. The contents shocked him. ' These guys managed to infltrate their underground base? What are they even doing there!?' Abel sighed and wanted to call Nana but didn't call her in the end. Even though she somehow managed to find and put a broadcast den den mushi there she was probably hiding around. Even a small voice could get her caught. Abel turned towards Vivi with a warm smile.
'' Well, let's go back. This is your birthday after all. Alabasta is not boring, I was blind!''
'' Hmph, as long as you know it. Don't forget your promise or I will tell father you are a scammer.'' Vivi told Abel who sighed and escorted Vivi back to Banquet room. He searched for Bernard and saw him dancing at the center of the room while spinning the red haired girl they met in random directions. People already got used to Bernard and was laughing as they watched him fool around. Abel sighed and went to Cavendish. There wasn't enough time to explain things to Bernard.
'' Hey! Come here.'' Abel commanded but didn't wait for Cavendish to respond as he just pulled him from the neck of his fancy clothes.
'' YOU!'' Cavendish was furious but Abel didn't care as he ordered immediately.
'' We are starting the plan now. Nana and Barbossa already sneaked inside their operation base and broadcasting it. Take this and place it on the platform at the main street where the royal family make speeches. Handle anyone who is in your way.''
'' Where did you even find such a big broadcasting den den mushi?'' Cavendish asked stunned.
'' Stole it from the castle. Mine wasn't big enough. Anyway, go already!''
'' Wait! Where are you going?''
'' After the broadcast starts, Crocodile will be back. I will go and meet him.''
A few minutes after Abel and Cavendish left, while Bernard was dancing chaotically, the man with the horn-shaped hair's eyes glinted melevolantly while looking at the red haired girl who is with Bernard.
'Shigan'
Screams appeared and blood flowed to the floor and everyone was in a paniced state. Red haired girl looked at Bernard with a shocked face. '' Y-You... Why did you take the hit? I already dodged.'' She asked but then realized after she dodged Vivi happened to be on the way of attack and Bernard came in front of her in last second to take the hit.
'' Boss would do the same!'' Bernard's explanation was simple. He knew Abel liked kids. Since Abel was not here to save Vivi he took the hit instead. The man with horn-shaped hair smiled at Bernard and spoke with a warm voice.
'' This was a misunderstanding. That girl is a spy from revolutionaries. I was just trying to...''
Unfortunately Bernard was not a person that thinks things too much. After he took the hit for Vivi he directly punched the man in the face. The man didn't expect this and fell from the window of castle. Bernard didn't stop as he also jumped from the window after him.
The girl watched them with a shocked face and took a den den mushi hurriedly. '' Leader. İt is me, Rena.''
'' Rena, will Crocodile accept the position of warlord? This system is very disadventagous for us. Did you find any valuable intel?'' Dragon's deep voice responded.
'' L-Leader. Something big is happening on Alabasta. Cipher Pole is here and someone is fighting with them!''
Cobra and other nobles looked at the happenings with pale faces.
'What is going on?'
[Main Street]
Cavendish finally put the giant broadcast den den mushi and started the broadcast to show the whole country the operations of Baroque Works. There were many guards knocked up around him.
'' W-What is this?''
'' There are people scheming about our country!? Who are they!?''
People finally realised the broadcast and it gathered a huge deal of attention. Even the nobles in the castle realised something was going on at the main street.
'' Stop this stupid shit immediately.'' The cold voice of Mr 1. came towards Cavendish.
Cavendish flashed him a charming smile '' Ah, this is the beginning of my fame! How can I end the show in the middle!''
Mr 1's eyes turned cold as he immediately attacked Cavendish with his blade hands. Cavendish was surprised but managed to block him in time.
'' I see, you are a bad mannered person. As expected from someone this ugly.'' Cavendish talked arrogantly as they started fighting in the middle of the street. People screamed as they got out of the way. As they fought they started to destroy buildings and went towards an open place.
'' İf you want to learn more about your enemies, don't stop the broadcast!'' Cavendish screamed before he disappeared with Mr.1.
Cobra who watched everything from window was stunned. ' Who are these people? What is happening in this country!?'
Cobra frowned when he watched the broadcast and ordered coldly.
'' Don't let anyone cut the broadcast.''
[Underground]
While people were playing poker, their den den mushi's started ringing one by one. Barbossa sighed as he realized his farce won't pay off anymore. Just as people were about to answer Barbossa took out the rifle and started killing them in one hit. He didn't need to reload as he killed one and shooted another one immediately afterwards. 30 seconds of chaotic struggle later, there were 15 corpses on the floor as Galdino(Mr 3) looked at him with a frown.
'' So you were a spy?''
Barbossa smiled at him flatteringly and spoke.
'' Brother, I actually don't like doing such things. But I am forced by a very crazy and scary person, you see. How about we just keep playing poker? No need to fight, right? Actuall-'' Before finishing his sentence Barbossa immediately shooted at Galdino to catch him off guard. Galdino took a few steps back with a smile on his face. He showed the armour under his clothes made from candle.
'' You are a smart person. However you choose the wrong person to serve! After I beat you, I will be promoted and become Mr.3'' Galdino declared as he sent a candle attack towards Barbossa. Barbossa sighed as he shooted at the attack while sighing inside. ' Ah, Nana, This is all your fault! I became enemies with this brother while trying to cover for you!'
[Outside the Capital]
Crocodile's face was red as he screamed at the den den mushi.
'' You idiots! You are being watched by the whole country. Go find where the broadcasting den den mushi is hided and kill the person broadcasting immediately! Why is none of the instructors answering!? Find out!''
Crocodile fumed as he took out another den den mushi.
'' I accept your deal. Go find the person who broadcasts this event and kill that person. I will help you to find that other person afterwards.'' Crocodile accepted the previous deal with a red face. Crocodile immediately went towards the Capital to find the person who orchestrated this thing. ' I will destroy you!'
[Capital, a street]
A man with a huge sword on his back while his face is covered by a mask examined the bloodstains left behind by a struggle. ' I am close.' He concluded as he kept searching and collecting clues.
