When Harry woke up, he found Daphne looking at him like she was trying to analyse him head to toe, but based on the frustrated look on her face she is not making any headway.
This is not the first time Harry has seen this look on Daphne and this probably won't be the last. But it is odd to see Daphne looking at him like this, in the previous timeline there was very little about Harry that Daphne didn't know. She was the one person he trusted after the war and she proved time and time again that he was right to put his trust in her.
While Harry would like to be honest with Daphne but he can't because this is not the Daphne he once knew. He would like to be honest with a lot of people in his life, but the world Harry came from doesn't exist anymore so there is no use thinking about the past.
As the train stopped Harry said a quick goodbye to Daphne and Tracey before getting off the train with Oscar. He didn't need to look around because he felt two magical presence very similar to his own as soon as the train got near the station.
Harry found his parents standing next to Alice and Frank Longbottom who thankfully didn't have a horde of reporters following them around like last time.
"Where is uncle Remus?" Harry asked as soon as he reached his parents.
"Remus couldn't come today so he asked us to pick you up" Harry's mother directly said to Oscar who only nodded.
Harry wondered why uncle Remus couldn't be here but seeing that Oscar wasn't really bothered by this so he didn't give it much thought.
Then Harry and Oscar stayed with his parents and Longbottoms waiting for Charlie and Rose. It took a while as Charlie spent some time just saying goodbye to Ron, Neville and the Weasley twins. After that, the Potters and Oscar used the floo to get to Potter Manor.
A month later.
Charlie pov:
Charlie ran out of his room and rushed downstairs after hearing that Tonks is here. His cousin had promised to get them tickets to the finals of the under 18 World Duelling Championship.
When he got there Harry and Tonk are already talking, "Tonks" Chalie yelled in excitement before rushing to hug his cousin. But before he could even get near Tonks, Harry grabbed Charlie by his clothes and pulled him back.
"Harry, what are doing?" Charlie asked as his brother continued to hold on to him.
"Tonks performed the black family enhancement rituals just a few days ago. She is still not used to her enhanced body yet" Harry explained.
So this is why Tonks is acting so strange, usually, his cousin is the one who tries to crush him with her bear hugs.
"But you are only seventeen!" Charlie heard Rose's voice from behind him, when did his sister get here.
"Only very talented witches and wizards can correctly perform those rituals at such young age" Rose continued.
Tonks grinned "So you guys finally realised how awesome I am" she said while flexing her bicep but it just looks ridiculous because doesn't really have any muscles.
While Charlie wanted to laugh but he somehow kept a straight face "So you are like super strong and fast now like those muggle superheroes?" He eagerly asked.
Tonks nodded without missing a beat, but Harry quickly disagreed "Even the strongest rituals only provide a small boost in the beginning. The main use of these rituals is to enhance the overall potential of the wizard or witch. Tonks has to properly train her body, mind and magic for a few years to make full use of her rituals"
Charlie couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, he turns towards Tonks "Did you at least bring the tickets? He asked hopefully.
"Of course, I got them right here" Tonks said as she took out the tickets. "These are some of the best seats, I had to pay quite a bit to get these" she said excitedly.
"Why are guys so excited over some underage duelling tournament? It will most likely be just a bunch of kids throwing spells at each other" Harry suddenly said.
Rose backed Harry up like always "yes these underage duels are always boring. The participants just stand there and constantly throw the same basic spells at each other"
"If you don't like it then you don't have to come. I can give your tickets to Ron and Neville" Charlie retorted.
This shut Rose right up but Harry spoke "you can give away my ticket"
"No, I got us these tickets so we can all go and watch the finals together, so everyone is going" Tonks spoke with a tone that left no room for arguing.
