Chapter 6: Chapter 5

Back To The Main Cast...

Jason bolted across the marble-tiled floor. Eyes darting around, he skidded across the floor, looking left and right. He cocked his gun, aiming down the sights at a corridor before turning around and beckoning for them to continue on.

As one could probably tell, he had absolutely no idea where he was going. How was he supposed to know? This place, while less complex and annoying then Light Containment, was still a complete maze! Why didn't they have any maps! How did those Scientists know their way around?

"So, Arjun. Where do you wanna go when we get out of here?" Benedict asked, grinning cheerfully.

"To early to ask man… We've been through thick and thin, and it may seem like the worse of it is over, but it isn't over for me at least until we are at least a hundred miles away from this sh*tty Facility. Hell, we have no idea where we even are…" Arjun, negative as always, responded, hurriedly moving along.

It had been another five minutes, but it seemed like they were moving around in circles. They probably had. It was like that with Light Containment.

"In a few hours, I may be able to taste fried chicken once more!"

"Let's go!!!"

"Screw chicken, I want blueberries!"

"I'm never committing a crime again!"

"Tacos."

"Tamales."

"Scones."

"Beer and Wine!"

"Shut it, drunkard."

Suddenly, Jason saw something. To the side, a hallway. This one was different from the rest of them, as within, he could see a giant metal door. Different from the small metal doors, this one was heavy-duty, with no windows, just the Foundation symbol.

He rushed the rest of them over, and then, trembling, Jason looked up at the clear bolded words in black paint above.

"Gate B" He whispered, touching the cold metal.

The chatter of D-Class died down as they stared. It was a rare moment of silence as they saw these words. This was freedom. The group knew it. After they exited through this gate, the D-Class would be out of this hellhole. They would be away from all the creatures and monsters that tried to kill them. Then again, they might possibly have to deal with a new type of danger. The danger named MTF.

Mobile Task Forces. Bunch of trigger-happy sh*t eaters. They were the Foundations loyal lapdogs who would light up anybody the higher-ups wanted. Bunch of losers. And the ones they would and already send in were the Nine-Tailed Fox.

The Nine-Tailed Fox, aka, the Nine-Tailed F*cks, (By D-Class), were the ones the Foundation sent in to deal with Containment Breaches. They also happened to have the highest D-Class kill rate. Least to say, the two vastly different personnel had lots of beef.

Jason reached into his pocket, taking out a card. This one was pitch black with a few words printed on white. It was a Clearance Level 4 Keycard. One that he had "borrowed" from a dead researcher.

He tapped it to a panel on the side, and the panel turned a bright green. The large gate slid open slowly, groaning and scrapping. The D-Class charged in, but immediately, they noticed a particular figure standing in the middle of the room, in front of the elevator.

"Aw, crap."

"Keep looking at it."

"Remember!"

"Ugh, bastard…."

"Why did it have to be here…."

"Don't blink!"

Jason sighed, staring at the figure with immense concentration. Benedict and Arjun followed after him. It was a sight to be seen. Surrounded by a few dead corpses, the Statue stood there ominously.

It was a weird thing, made of concrete and slightly resembled a humanoid figure. Reddish-brown, the creature's head was shaped like that of a Peanut, and it possessed weird cylinder-like legs and short stubby arms. Partially spray painted, SCP-173 had two bulbous green eyes and some other red and black paint coating its face.

"Somebody turn on some flashlights! We don't want the facility going dark on us and this thing going Keter!" Arjun yelled to the back, and a few flicked on there flashlights.

"Don't shoot it yet! Move the thing first!" Benedict grunted, urging the rest of the D-Class into the Gate room.

The way to get in and out of the facility was via elevator. This had been confirmed by many people and over much deliberation by the D-Class. Though they had been blindfolded when transported, most of them knew what an elevator felt like….

The D-Class slowly wrapped their way around the Statue, up close and personal. Communicating and staring, most of them had dealt with it before, so making sure no necks were snapped was easier said than done.

A random D-Class raised his pistol, shooting out the two security cameras. Didn't want anyone to know they were specifically here….

A D-Class pressed the elevator button and they waited. It would take about two flights for all of them to get out. Despite the scary Euclid anomaly before them, the group was still pretty good-natured. It was a lot less terrifying than the Plague Doctor due to experience, and the many limitations the Statue had.

"Ding!"

With a hum, the elevator had arrived. The door opened, revealing what all of them wanted to see. A dim small box-like room with plain painted white walls and a grated metal floor. Though they knew there was still some other above-ground stuff to deal with, getting out of the Facility would relieve them of a great burden.

Then, suddenly, the Intercom crackled to life. This time, it was an automated voice, and not an actual person speaking.

[Mobile Task Force Epsilon-11, Nine-Tailed Fox, has entered the Facility]

[Awaiting the Recontainment of *Redacted* Anomalies]

A loud robotic male voice shocked the D-Class, and soon, they were all groaning. Both in despair, and also frustration. If those bastards were here... Then things would get a lot harder, and more complicated.

"Don't go up yet," Jason said, and the D-Class walked back, forming around the Statue as if it was just another one of them. They really didn't have time to deal with it, though a majority of them still stared at it. "Prepare for one hell of a gunfight."

"Shut the Gate!" Arjun pointed to the large door, and a random D-Boy walked over, closing it. Really, there was an abundance of Level-4 Keycards in the facility…. Maybe the Personnel lost them often? Anyway, seeing as there was a Gate B, there was probably a Gate A somewhere, and the MTF could possibly go in that way too…..

A few D-Class aimed their flashlights at the Peanut, making sure it was completely illuminated, despite the overhead lights. Putting aside the risk of the Facility going through overcharge, or the generators turning off, there was also the fact that the Nine-Tails knew that they were in Entrance Zone, along with 173.

The Intercom was probably connected to other Facilities, so the MTF had probably been alerted. If it was found that SCP-173 was in the same room as them, those cold-hearted morons would probably cut the lights. Not only would it put them at a huge disadvantage, but the Peanut could also get to them when unexpected. This was somewhat solved with the flashlights, but it was still a danger.

It would be quite hard to track the Peanut by security camera, so it was doubtful that they knew its exact location.

"We are holding this Gate!" Benedict screamed, posing his gun at the Elevator.
