the sound of metal hitting metal rang out on the bridge.
a giant, single-edged sword slashed through the mist making contact with the knuckle knives.
a sound of thousand birds rang out, and the two weapons parted.
"This is getting a little troubling".
said a figure, holding the giant sword with a single hand to his side easily.
"I must agree, you are harder to kill them I thought".
said Anzashi, straightening herself from the crouch she had landed in from her chidori.
"Hell, I can't even smoke, let's just finish this soon".
Asuma complained, channeling wind chakra into his knives.
the two jounin dashed towards the figure who did the same, resuming battle.

Naruto asked in his mind, standing in a dome of mirrors, watching as a blur went from one to another, occasionally sending senbon in his direction, which he blocked with his Tanto.
[you have clones outside the Dome, you can get out with a Kawarimi, but if you use my chakra, you can break those mirrors, take your pick].
the presence in his mind responded, getting bored of the fight its host was in.
(well, I want the mask anyway, so let's try not to damage it).
eyes turning into slits as he called for the Kyuubi's chakra, his whiskers became more pronounced, teeth grew, and the ocean blue turned red.
with a burst of speed, he caught up to the hunter ninja, grabbing his...her... their! neck and smashing the body down to the ground, making the bridge shake, generating a crater on the point of impact.
holding up his sword, Naruto brought the blade down to his opponent's heart.

Naruto could only agree, as he straightened, sheathing his tanto and stopped channeling Kyuubi's chakra.
(...now what? I don't want to wait for that dwarf to show up).
Naruto took the mask off the hunter nin, revealing a feminine face... which didn't clear up anything.

sealing the mask in a sealing scroll, before remembering a slightly important fact...
turning slightly to his left he saw his teammate, looking at him with wide eyes.
he speculated that she saw his slight transformation... he done messed up.
[most skilled assassin my ass, you forgot about your surroundings, that's hilarious].
Kyuubi started laughing in his mind, pissing off naruto even more.

he grumbled and looked into the eyes of Satsuki, as she was still staring at him, stunned.

and the question that he was waiting for, what would he give as an answer, even he didn't know.
they stared at each other for a few seconds before he broke the silence with a cough.
"I'll tell you later, we have a mission to complete".
she narrowed her eyes but nodded nonetheless, they were in danger, an A-rank missing-nin was fighting their sensei's, and now was not the time for a casual talk.
[...are you going to tell her?].
Asked the nine-tailed fox, with a tone that indicated curiosity, but it was very faint.
(conveniently ignore the fact that I just killed, that's what I call plot armor).
he mentally sighed, sure it was convenient, but Satsuki could die if she didn't question some of his actions, this was supposed to be his "first" kill, and he's taking it in stride.
she most likely thinks it's the adrenaline, and it was his paranoia acting up, but no one can be too cautious.
the sound of metal clashing rang out for a few more minutes before a sound of birds and ripping flesh rang out.
(and now... we face the grunts).
Naruto got readied himself, gripping his tanto tightly and installing his Karambit.
[Oooh! will I get to see bloodshed? will you do it yourself or get the two Jounin to do it? I haven't seen some dominance in a fight in a long time, even if it's against thugs].
Kyuubi seemed excited, too excited if someone asked him, but he couldn't blame him, Naruto was a little excited as well, he trained for six months, but he didn't kill anyone but Haku, and it was rather disappointing.
(I'll do it myself, just calm down, should I hold back a little?).
Naruto asked rhetorically, looking at the other side of the bridge where Gato was supposed to arrive.
