Chapter 10: Ch 10 : Unveiling Kuro
Later that day, still in Kaya's mansion, a tall skinny man with glasses was walking inside doing chores.
But suddenly he stopped as he saw a teen with black hair sitting on the sofa as if waiting for him.
'This teen again, what is he up to' Klahadore or Kuro stopped his feet to look at Nate who was glaring back at him.
" Do you know? Before I came here, I heard some strange rumor. The captain of black-cat pirates was faking his death..."
The moment he heard the name Black-Cat pirates, Kuro's body trembled for a bit. But worthy of a man who was called hundred pirates Kuro, he quickly hide his expression.
" Sorry, I don't understand. Why are you-"
" Shhh! I'm not done yet. Haven't your mommy taught you that you shouldn't cut off a person's speech?"
These words from Nate made a few veins bulge in Kuro's forehead. Just a hairless teen, how could he say something like that to him.
However, Kuro was not impatient. He stayed silent and waited for Nate to finish his sentence.
" That's better. According to the rumor I heard, The Black-Cat Captain Kuro faked his death and changed his job into a butler. It was an interesting story, and maybe the marine would like to know it more. And... ah.. If I'm not wrong, the aliases of the butler is-"
Before Nate could finish his words sharp blades were heading toward his head.
*Swoosh* Kuro appeared next to Nate with super speed, in his left hand there was a clove with five long blades as katana heading toward Nate's head.
CLANGG!!!!!
The sound of metal clashing with each other resounded throughout the mansion,
The moment Kuro was about to strike Nate's head, Nate use Honedge to block Kuro's sword.
Honedge level right now might still be pretty low, but it was enough to handle someone like Kuro.
Honedge who had blocked Kuro's attack returned to Nate's hand. Kuro was shocked that someone could see him when he used his superhuman speed technique. As for Nate, he actually didn't do anything. He just let Honedge do all the work and here he is.
"I see.. so your target all along is me, " Kuro said as he vanished and appeared ten meters away from Nate, he took his other glove that has five long blades and wore it.
"Well, not really. But I just cannot let such a dangerous man like you stay near a pretty girl like Kaya" Nate smirked as he got up.
Now he had unsheathed Honedge, and a swordsman posture has been emitted from his body.
"Yes I'm Kuro and you wouldn't live to tell anyone, " Kuro said with an angry glare, just a moment ago, Nate was about to ruin his plots that he spent years on them.
"Not really, I never expected someone like you would become a butler for a spoiled young girl, Don't you feel, a bit of humiliation. " Nate said with a provoking tone.
Kuro got pissed off as Nate hit his sėnsɨtɨvė spot "Don't remind me, Once I kill that girl and get her wealth I would get rid of this humiliation, but you must die"
Too bad for Kuro that Kaya was already hiding somewhere and she heard everything, that was enough proof for her to believe that Kuro is a pirate who wanted her wealth.
"How about we go outside? You don't want to break the mansion right?" Nate said as he went to the window and jumped from it, his only consideration was Kaya. It would be bad if Kuro were to take hostage of Kaya during their battle.
"humph," Kuro touched his glasses and quickly moved to follow Nate. He also has the same idea as Nate, after all, it would be bad for him if Nate was to die in the mansion.
It didn't take that long for Nate and Kuro to reach the cliff of the island. Nate had trained for five years in the deserted island with the system training menu. So even though he was not specialized in speed, his speed was really not bad.
*swoosh*
Out of thin air, Kuro appeared on the beach that making it like he teleported here.
" It seemed this place is good enough!" Said Nate, with a calm smile on his face.
" Humph," Kuro didn't respond to Nate's words.
Directing his Killing intent on Nate, Kuro was flashing in different spots.
If he could, he really wanted to kill this teen as fast as possible as to not raise suspicion. However, there was something holding him back from attacking.
The scene when that strange sword block his attack was still fresh in Kuro's mind, and because of that, he became a lot warier toward Nate.
Kuro has a special movement technique called the "Stealth Foot", a maneuver combining speed and stealth for nigh-undetectable movement. Using it, Kuro easily outmaneuvered a combined attack from Shamand Buchi—and, according to Jango, could ambush and kill fifty skilled assassins without being noticed.
"Well.. he is pretty fast. I give you that, but..' thought Nate as he saw Kuro's afterimage lingering in the battlefield.
"This is my first big battle since I arrived in this world, so let's try it a bit!" Nate fully assumed the posture of a swordsman.
He placed Honedge in a basic swordsmanship position as he tried to use his five senses to detect Kuro's whereabout.
Nate could easily end this battle with his skill if he wanted to, but he wanted to use Kuro as a training partner. After all, if he depended on the skill too much, then his ceiling wouldn't reach those monsters in the New World.
"You should have never come to this island" Kuro stopped, he touched his glasses, then he vanished again from Nate's sight.
