Chapter 73: Chapter 73: BS jutsu
The water went completely still, its raging waves disappeared, only the loud breathing of Naruto could be heard, Yagura had made himself completely one with the water and managed to completely erase his presence even from Naruto's heightened senses and chakra sensory.
Yagura was healing, the three tails was said to be unbeatable in water, so it was of utmost importance to fight it on dry land and not in a deep lake, there weren't many options for Naruto, he could use another Tailed Beast Ball to erase the water but it would only work for a few moments before Yagura filled up the water again, he was in quite the predicament.
'Tch, Kurama, got any ideas?' Naruto voiced out in his mind.
'Isobu is quite an irritating opponent in the water, we are currently far too big of a target and he moves far faster than us in the water, we could erase the water by using some fire ninjutsu or a tailed beast ball but Isobu would easily survive that, the genjutsu he is under is the thing we will have to go after, if we manage to snap him out of it then we won't have to fight him, but for that, you need to get as close as possible, and not be disturbed while canceling the genjutsu.' Kurama replied in Naruto's mind.
'Isobu huh, now I know two of you guys' names.' Naruto said while he let the chakra around him dissipate bringing him back to his base form, 'I guess we'll go with your idea.' Naruto was now back in his base form.
"I guess it's time to use the heavenly gates, they're not quite ready for battle yet but the speed boost will definitely come in handy now," Naruto said to himself while he summoned two clones, they would be responsible for protecting his main body from any disturbance.
Naruto started channeling all his chakra supercharging every tenketsu in his body, to use the heavenly gates you had to charge each tenketsu with equal amounts of chakra, then you would simultaneously open every limiter that the standard 8 gates had, once you did this the chakra inside the body would completely transform become purer, the color of the chakra changing to one that resonated with the user, for Naruto it became a dark crimson color.
A crimson aura seeped out of Naruto's body, the chakra forming a sort of aura around him, the chakra he was currently using surpassed even that of Kurama in strength although not in purity as Kurama was made of pure chakra, if Kurama was whole that is, Kurama was only his Yang manifestation at the moment so in the future Naruto would need to figure out how to combine Kurama's Yin and Yang again.
But right now that wasn't important, Naruto watched 5% of his chakra disappear only to be refilled by Samehada near instantaneously, the 8 Heavenly Gates was truly a broken jutsu, at the small cost of 5% of his chakra per gate he could become the one with the strongest chakra in the world for a few minutes.
"The first Heavenly Gate; Gate of Beginning, open!"
The chakra around him surged outward forming a permanent crimson aura around him.
The two clones next to Naruto were similarly encased by a crimson aura, yes clones could also use it.
Naruto then pulled Samehada out of his inventory and jumped into the lake he had created, quickly followed by his two clones.
The water was cold and completely dark, most likely a jutsu used by Yagura to make the water less clear so that the giant form of Isobu wouldn't be noticed, luckily for Naruto this wasn't a problem as his enhanced eyes could see through the darkness and in conclusion see the giant turtle that was swimming not too far away from him, observing him, waiting for a moment to attack, like a leviathan hunting it's prey.
Naruto acted as if he was clueless, it would allow him to surprise the Jinchuriki, even if only slightly, if he acted as if he couldn't see him then he would have a slight advantage.
Samehada was quite the blessing underwater, Naruto's physical strength made it so he could swim incredibly fast, Samehada's natural affinity to water and his ability to swim underwater made him even faster, nowhere near as fast as the giant turtle was underwater but he would be able to keep up with Isobu or Yagura in this case for a bit at the very least.
Yagura wasn't moving, the injury on his shell was quite visible, it was cracked in a few places and one of his tails was ripped off, most likely used to interrupt the Tailed Beast Bomb.
Naruto started swimming in his general direction while sometimes looking over him acting as if he couldn't see him, Yagura was looking right at him with Isobu's ringed yellow eyes but Naruto simply kept ignoring him.
Naruto was getting closer and closer, the opportunity to get in close contact with Yagura was right in front of Naruto, he simply needed to form chakra under his feet so that he could gain some leverage to launch himself at Yagura.
50 meters, 40 meters, 30, 20, and eventually a measly 10 meters separated Naruto and Yagura, Naruto had conveniently placed himself at an angle where Yagura had to first turn towards him to attack him which would grant him an extra second.
Then Yagura's eyes, for but a split second looked away from Naruto and to one of his clones.
Naruto took full advantage of the opportunity, chakra exploded beneath his feet sending him flying through the water right towards Yagura's or Isobu's ginormous head.
Yagura reacted a split second too late once again and failed to intercept Naruto, Naruto's clones similarly used this chance and landed on Yagura's head where they fastened themselves to Yagura using the tree and water walking exercise in conjunction.
Now came the hard part, Naruto would have to invade Yagura's mind which wouldn't be too difficult as he had a few seals and an overwhelming amount of chakra to help with that but then he would need to dispel the Genjutsu Yagura and Isobu were trapped in and not be interrupted while doing so.
