Chapter 2: Next... Day?
Ah, what a great day. Another regular time in my ordinary life.
As if I could say that. " Remind me why you're in my house, Fukai? "
" What?! You make it seem like I'm barging in! I live here because your parents and my parents are great friends. "
" Why are you living here in the first place? I don't recall needing a maid? "
" You can't even cook, clean, or wash clothes. you're lucky for being able to live with a strong, smart, and independent woman like me. Go eat breakfast now."

Hm? I thought she would shout at me like she usually would. Maybe she's angrier than I thought.
" Fukai, if you want to fight, let's go- "
" Sorry, Kage, if you weren't there yesterday, far worse could have happened, but you went too far with that, jerk. "
And with that, she stormed out of the house. Also, did she call me Kage just now?
Damn, it's going to be hard to talk to her now. Well then, I guess I'll meet her in school.
As I prepare to leave, I see a beautiful bento inlaid with rosewood, and it even has a unique pattern on it. This box is not mine, so Fukai probably forgot to take it.
I'll guess I'll take it to her once I see her. Although, I should get dressed for class.
After a quick meal and bath, I head out for my Fukai-Search-Quest.
But why is the door locked?!
" SU- "
Huh? What was that? A ghost?
A long struggle with the door ghost and a twenty-five-minute walk later.
Phew, I'm not late for class.
I entered the classroom, and the crowd met me with applause. Quite literally.
I wondered why at first, and I still am up till now. My classmates are whistling like they're looking at a western supermodel. I'm not female, though?
Whatever reason they might have, I'm not up for it.
There's still time until class starts, so a quick restroom break shouldn't hurt.
After taking a leak, I naturally went to the sink to wash my hands. Stay clean, folks!
As I'm about to get back to the classroom, I felt a menacing presence approach behind me. It must be an assassin.
" Show yourself! "
" SUGI DA YO! "
" Excuse me, what? "
" It's me, Sugi, you don't know me? "
" In what world would I know anyone named Sugi? "
" Don't know, don't care. Anyways, take care of your girl, dude. She's on a rampage ya hear me? "
My girl?
" I don't have one, now may I go back to class if you have nothing more to say? "
" Sure. Good luck man. "
What a weird guy. But how come he had that killing intent? I should probably stay clear of that guy from now on.
Right, excuse me as I go through lecture time.

Now that hell is finally over, I can enjoy lunch alone. If you pity me, I'll beat you up, no matter where you are.
I usually eat with Hikari, but now that she's angry at me, I'm back to my daily life of peace.
Though, peace could always be a synonym for boring.
" I wish I could eat with her, so I could at least have someone to spend my time with! "
Hm, I yelled that out by accident, didn't I?
No worries, no one heard me anyways.
" Kage... "
" Oh, hello, Fukai. You forgot your bento at home earlier. Here you go. "
" No, that was for you... You mind if I sit with you? "
" I do mind, thank you very much for this gracious meal bestowed upon me. Now shoo."
" KAGETORU!! "
A massive flurry of fists come straight at my head at five thousand miles an hour. With my skills, I easily evaded all five thousand blows.
At least, I thought I did.

" GAH! "
I awoke from my deep slumber, finding myself in a chamber full of torture tools.
The Infirmary.
As I try to stand, I felt a heavy feeling near my legs. When I checked, I saw Hikari's head resting on my lap.
I took a look at the wall clock and found that it was already 6'o clock! Far past school hours at that.
Was she waiting for me this whole time? I mean, she did knock me out after all.
Regardless, she shouldn't have waited, and I'm sure she hasn't even eaten yet. This girl refuses to eat without me in lunch.
She's done this in the past. One time, she almost looked like a skeleton.
I can't leave her alone for one moment, can't I?
Feeling slightly remorseful, I pat her tiny head and gentle ruffle through her soft hair.
I see, so this is how my life would be if I had a little sister, huh?
If my life would continue like this, I'm certain I would never get bored. I wonder if she feels the same way.
" Kage... "
" Even though you're still sleeping, I admit that was cute. Though, I'd give you more points on that if you weren't drooling. "
